Snoopy is such a fun game, highly recommended at its regular price, so its unacceptable not to purchase at 400pts.

I'll be getting Risk and possibly Blade Kitten. Can't believe BK went on sale so quick, it must have had done pretty week at the current price.

there's a reason they aren't having a really good sale to end this month off, they want you to spend the full amount for the rebate.

regardless, I need to spend 2000 more MSP this month, I was holding off to see if they'd have a good dotw this month but now I can just spend. And I would use the rebate towards Risk: Factions and Snoopy but it looks like the rebate doesn't arrive till around the end of November, so I may have to buy more points, damn you microsoft :\

Risk Factions is really fun, my wife and I enjoy playing it. 400msp is a really good deal and everyone who likes board games should at least give the demo a chance.

I really wanted Snoopy before it came out but then I got cold feet. Surprised it's going on sale so soon, but now I'll have no excuse not to get it. I loved Crimson Skies!

Glad to finally have a date for the Hydro Thunder DLC and just in time for the October rebate!!

Nice to finally see multiple Arcade games on DotW again, but when will we get a sale on Greed Corp?!? I know everyone else was thinking it.

Now that I had a few minutes to think about it. I am sure Blade Kitten being on sale is tied to Krome Studios closing their doors. While Sega is the publisher, I would go ahead and get the game if you think you might ever want to play it

The timing of DoTW is amazing these days. Just as I plan to buy any DLC's, they tend to appear as one of DoTW sales.
Modern Warfare 2 map packs, Borderlands, and possibly Bioshock 2 DLC's.

I see you've got Lost Odyssey. The DLC on that recently dropped from 400 to 80 points.

Thanks for the update OP, sucks that Minerva's Den isn't on sale for Bioshock 2. I can pick up the one bit of Borderlands DLC that I don't have, at least that will help toward my 2400 points.

I'll prolly pick up Snoopy and Risk in Nov, shame they won't count for the rebate deal.

already got Blade Kitten and glad I got it for the right price when I did. Do remember, the company behind the game filed for bankruptcy or something like that so that could be a reason as to why it's already going on sale. Might be 1 of the fastest xbla games to go on sale soon after it's launch date. Risk Factions & Snoopy i'll be getting though.

I would, but Avatar items don't count for the promotion.

lol, perfect. Thanks for the info.

Do avatar items count towards this deal? I thought not, but I could be wrong.

don't think so, but for those needing 80 ms points or small amounts check the contest & free stuff thread..there are bing rewards that give out 100 ms points or you can just buy them from someone on here as well via 360 code trading thread.

Lot of people mentioning Snoopy.... I'm not a flight sim fan, is it worth it? I'm more into action platformers and still figuring out the best use of my 2400 points. Right now considering

Super Meat Boy $10 for sure!

Leaves another $20 to spend

Costume Quest $15
Space Invaders Infinity $15
Sonic 4 $15
Castlevania DLC $5
Castlevania Music Pak $2
is what I'm thinking about.
Avatar items are usually 80 points.
But that won't help him reach 2400 since it needs to be DLC/Arcade games.

EDIT: Mass Effect Bring Down the Sky DLC is 80 pts (although it does come free in any PH copies of the game).

I second Shrike. Mass Effect's Bring Down the Sky DLC is a fantastic way to spend 80 MSP if you don't already own it. I bought both this and Pinnacle Station a long time ago and loved both of them. Bring Down the Sky is the better of the two though with the story content. Pinnacle Station is fun, but is mostly a series of combat simulations with a pretty nice reward at the end.

It skimps on storyline too much for me to give it the same ringing endorsement as Bring Down the Sky though.

Wasn't this Bioshock 2 stuff on sale just a month or two ago? It's a shame they didn't include the Minerva's Den. I'm much more interested in the single player portion of that game.

Thanks for posting and updating, OP!

Just bought the last Borderlands i needed so that i can get the rebate... I've spend 2680 points this month and have 820 left just in case i decide to get Super Meat Boy...

The last few days i was deciding what i should spend my last 800 points on, already got sonic 4(1200) and dead raising case 0(400). Started playing borderlands again and was thinking either one of the 3 DLCs(already have the zombie one) for that, Costume Quest, or the red dead zombies. I was leaning towards red dead and then bam half off on 2 of the borderlands making it the 800 points i needed aka a no brainer. Now i can play those while i wait for a deal on the others or use my 800 i get back towards one.
how is plants vs. zombies for the 360
Here's a question mark for you: ?

Anyway, PvZ is excellent on 360. The controls work great. Thanks to the local multiplayer and HD graphics, it's the best version of the game.
Does anyone know if they are planning to release another disc based dlc pack for Borderlands like they did for the first 2?
I think that's intended to be reserved for the GOTY edition as far as physical copies are concerned.

Glad I waited on Snoopy, so far I got Assault Heroes 2 and The Warriors, two games I never see going on sale, can't think of another 800 point game, I doubt that Marvel Ultimate alliance 2 content they brought back will go on sale, maybe that?

no it wont go on sale. and like others have noted, after december, its gone for good.
Blade Kitten must have been a massive flop for MS to announce a sale a month after launch.
Don't know if you've been keeping up with the news, but it flopped so badly that its developer just went belly up.
I think that's intended to be reserved for the GOTY edition as far as physical copies are concerned.
On the GOTY box it says that you get a "token", I don't think it has a disc with DLC.

I may get Secret Armory for Borderlands (already have the first 2), but I haven't really gotten into it so dunno yet.

For November, damn. I might need to spend $200* or so on points if November 1st is any indication on sales we'll be getting for the month. Plus the releases of Guwange and Crazy Taxi.

As for the sale itself, Snoopy will be mine as I loved the demo. For the other two, hard to say. I'll have to try the demo for Blade Kitten, and for Risk, how's the online as far as active community and such? It's hard enough to debate as is, only because it doesn't feel right playing it unless it's the board game. On the other hand, nobody ever wants to play as it takes forever.

Also, Blade Kitten. Obviously won't happen now (or so I'd assume), but that was supposed to be episodic, was it not? Not sure why I'm thinking that though.
No, Breath of Death VII was the best 80 pts I ever spent on XBL.
Sorry Shrike I'm a huge Bioware fan but I have to agree with this. FYI for those that don't know, this is in the Indie Games section. It's a turn-based RPG with strong influences of the NES Dragon Warrior games, but with current humor. References to other RPG's/action games like Zelda and Mass Effect for example.

I agree, multiplayer was fun for an hour, but I prefer the single player content. Minerva's looks good.
