Updated OP. Hopefully you guys noticed the note about the turkey day sale

EDIT:

Joystiq has an article saying Zen is making Marvel Pinball, due out in Dec. It will be a full title on PSN but Pinball FX2 DLC on 360.

Just wanted to add this note to explain why it's not in the XBLA section before someone asks.

Thanks for the info Hyrb gave out on his podcast. I can't stand his show, but Its good to know there are going to be some deals for turkey day. Now to head here [thread]248984[/thread] to stock up on points....

I'm not a fan of Shank but I can understand why people like it... but this is probably the price they should have listed it at in the first place.

Ooo, Marvel Pinball. Sounds sweet!

How much for Pac-Man CE DX?

Also, does anyone know if any of the Family Game Night games allow more then one person to play online on the same console at the same time? For example can two people on one xbox play Sorry with two people on another xbox?

But, unfortunately, no deals on Points Cards that I can see...time to start looking.

Those are my thoughts exactly on Shank. Looking forward to seeing what the Thanksgiving sale brings us.

SHank! sweet. I was waiting for this to go for Deal. Ever since they started this I find my hard drive is full of arcade titles now! I only wish i could find some point cards on sale now...

Scott Pilgrim is still showing up as 400 points, though when you try it buy the game, it errors out.

EDIT: Now it's showing in the cart for purchase as 800 points.

I wish shank was 50% off like blade kitten. i would drop 600 points on it but Im not sure about 800. I wonder if it will be discounted even more for the turkey day sale.

DAAAAAMN, and i finally got my Bing points too
i've been spoiled with game sales for 400 MSP, i'll skip shank
This. Actually I'm gonna save up 3200 points, just in case XBLA has their year-end sale with a different item on sale every 24 hours, just like they did last year.

Joystiq says an "Indie Games Winter Uprising" is coming the 1st week of December, which will either be new noteworthy titles, some established titles on sale, or both:

To all the haters on Shank's "discount" price of 800pts ... that's the typical "sale" price for $15 games. EA set the original price, EA & Microsoft sets the discounted price (except if the studio is going under in the case of BK), and that's that. I've acquired over 100 XBLA games, and at least 3/4 of those were on sale, so I'm not complaining much that I have "nothing to play". Sheez. :)

Ever since "Dead Rising Case Zero" came out and was only worth 400 REGULAR MS Points... it puts into perspective the kind of price you'd be willing to shell out for good Arcade Games.

After playing the demo, "Shank" for 800 SALE MS Points is not worth it.

You payed $5 for a demo that has always been free before.

I think Case Zero is one of the few rare examples where you're getting a lot of polish/content/gameplay (whatever critiques you use to value games) for your money. If you're going to use Case Zero as the standard on how much value you get, you might be limiting yourself to a much smaller pool of games, which may or may not be a good thing.

I haven't played either Case Zero or DR2 but from what I've read/heard is the environments in Case Zero were exclusive to that. Even Case Zero had its own demo so you didn't have to pay anything to check it out.
Red, would you consider adding windows phone 7 game deals?

Flight Control is on sale for 2.99
Even though it's been posted before. Osmos is also on sale too for $2.49 or 200 MSP until Nov. 17 on GFWL (Games For Windows Live) and you can spend MS Points on it unlike WP7 games.

If WP7 deals are added then I think GFWL games should be added too since all of these are linked to your XBL gamertag. If not that's ok too. :)

Until Sunday, you can purchase Shank on the Xbox Marketplace for 800MS points ($10) rather than the typical $15.

Ah... The pot calling the kettle black.

I'll consider it. In the 2011 thread I might add the GFWL sales (they have had weekend sales IIRC) and WinMo 7. Problem is, finding a good resource for that info.

No price or link for Pac-Man CE DX, SNK Playmore took down the date for Trouble Witches Neo, so that might not go up on Wednesday. Added Unbound Saga. I'll add the link from Xbox.com soon

Well that would certainly work for the GFWL resource, I'd be afraid of random WinMo7 Sales

Quick question, why do people get happy over 240 point sales or 600 point sales? It's hard as hell to make your point denominations match up to that when you can only buy cards in 1600 or 4000 increments.

And bah to all the haters. Shank is a delightful game, and I think it is a much better beat-em-up than Scott Pilgrim. SP was a simplistic button masher coasting on retro nostalgia. Shank at least understands the need for a slightly meatier moveset.

Along with Lara Croft, Shank is definitely one of my top XBLA games this year. Just a fun ride.

While I personally don't get too excited about a 240 point discount (unless it's from a 400 point game), it's roughly the equivalent of "buy this game and get three Indie games free!", or it's a 240-point saving today that can add to a 160-point saving in the future and give you another game.

Over the course of ten years (we'll assume the 360 will be around for another five years), all these odd 160-point and 240-point leftovers will eventually even themselves out. If you're left with 160 points left over, when the 360 is finally dead and buried after ten years of gaming, and you've already bought every decent 80-point and 160-point game from the Indie channel, are you really going to be that upset over that lost $1.60? (We're CAGers here, we spend $8 or less on 800 points, not $10 ;))

I ended up getting Shank. I told myself when it came out, man if this were 800 I would buy it but 1200 is too much. And although I wish it were cheaper, I felt obligated to myself to get it then haha.

*kicks self, Forgot to get scott pilgrim vs. the world. I'm sure it will go on sale again, at least I hope, I know I'm not missing out on much just a rehash of River City Ransom.
