LivingSocial.com - Supposedly, 3 referrals NO LONGER give you a free gift card

The website was updated today:

Now the fine print also says one per person and we know how that worked, but seeing as an extra charge (for the account I got 3 referrals on) popped on my account this afternoon when the other 6 purchases had been on my account since 2AM last night around the time when I signed up for 7 of them combined with them actually making the update to the site, it's probably true.

Figured people would want to stop wasting their time since it doesn't matter anymore.
 
Now there's no referral bonus? I've never seen them do that before... I know they altered a few bonuses around based on a %, like Free to 50% off. But never just outright removed it.

...then again, I generally don't see numbers past 500 for the local deals.
 
Sorry but your post is a little incoherent - i'm not entirely sure what you're talking about. On the site's deals page, it still reads:

Get yours free! Buy, share, and if three friends buy, yours is free.
 
I really can't validate it one way or another, believe what you want. If you want to keep trying, have at it. Just forwarding what I've read on other sites.

Ok. I think i see where you are coming from. The bit in the fine print that states you cannot purchase the gift card with deal bucks was actually there when i signed up for the deal this morning. Just refer 3 people

Yes you can still get it with the 3 referrals(i called and yes they did tell me this)
You cannot get them with deal dollars
 
There's a lot of back and forth on this.

First, it was 5 bucks, now it's 10.

People thought the GCs would stack, then they thought they wouldn't, then they saw something from LivingSocial that it would, then LivingSocial's tweets said they wouldn't.

Getting really frakking annoying. I'm just gonna wait until tomorrow and if whatever I end up with is unacceptable, I'll call my CC and do chargebacks.
