June 14th UPDATE: Deal is back!
360 Console and Remote must be purchased between 4/1/06 and 9/30/06
You will need your receipt and 360 box (UPC) for this rebate, but you do not need to have purchased it at
Computers4Sure
Rebate must be postmarked within 30 days of purchase

Since this is almost $40 off its $130 MSRP, I thought it deserved its own thread.
Logitech Harmony 360 Remote $93 -$30 rebate = $63

Other Xbox 360 deals at Computers4shure

You must purchase a 360 console (not necessarily at the same time as the remote or from Computers4SURE) as the rebate requires a copy of the UPC symbol from the box and copy of the remote invoice/receipt.

Also, they have wireless controllers for $39 (spend $50 for free shipping)
Is the mail and rebate dead now?
The sticker on the bottom right of the box states "Offer ends March 31, 2006".

Litttle OT but I bought one of these a couple weeks ago from Gamestop for $99 new.

As far as universal remotes go this one is pure sex.

Good news got my check yesterday, bad news I got a letter from Microsoft about the $20 live kit rebate saying I need to cut out the UPC from my game. The bad part is the game is Oblivion colectors edition and I don't want to cut my box grrrr (sent in photo copy).

I sent in a photocopy of my upc and got the $20 live rebate. When I made the photocopy I cut the upc out so it looked like I cut the box one out. I didn't send in the whole sheet of paper.

I sent in a photo copy of my 360 receipt and got the tebate check. Just a FYI Logitech was sloooow on the rebate.

This is a great deal for anyone that just got a 360 or is buying one soon. I

so its no big deal that i got the xbox from bb and the remote from computers4sure? seems weird to me, but i hardly ever do rebates.

and i send in both receipts?

thanks.

Looking at the rebate, it seems like you need to have receipts for both the console and the remote, as well as make purchases between 4/1/06-9/30/06

this would have been a great deal, but we got our xbox 360 somewhere else
=(. does ne one know another cheap place to get this remote? seriously need this one so we don't have to use 3 seperate ones!!!

It doesn't matter where you got your 360, as long as it was after 4/1/06 and you still have the box and receipt.

so when it says "rebate request must be postmarked within 30 days of purchase date" what does that mean, because i got my 360 on 4/6, which is over 30 days ago.. does it just mean the remote purchase has to be within 30 days?

DO NOT FALL FOR IT. I got denied my rebate last year on this. The Xbox AND the Remote must be purchased within 30 days of you sending your rebate in. I still have the letter of denial I got from Logitech.

got my remote today, after ups dropped the ball.

its amazing. there are so many damn settings. it controls my amp, dvd, xbox306, hdtv, and dish pvr so far with no hiccups.

I know this sounds odd..but can it control the lights/fans in your house? There are some over-head lights and fans that come with a remote (My dad has one) and I was wondering if you could program that into the Logitech one. How cool would it be to turn the lights and fan on while watching a movie and changing volume settings.....

Or I am just really lazy....but still, cool..

Anyone know?

im pretty sure it could do it. it has tons of devices, including mechanical, and it can learn ir commands, then you can name them, set devices, or activites for them. really quite cool.

Awesome. Thanks for your reply!

I wrote to them about it and this is what I got back:

"Dear Logitech Consumer:

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the status of your rebate. Our records indicate a valid rebate is currently being processed. A check will be issued and mailed to you upon completion of processing.

REBATE AMOUNT: 30.00

Your rebate was entered successfully on 03/21/06. Please allow 10-12 weeks for processing from this date.

We do apologize for the delay in processing your rebate."

That's already over 13 weeks. I guess it's not quite as far off target as I thought, but then again, I'm sure I sent the rebate form in in february. I guess they took their sweet time entering it into the system too. Status is still "being processed" as of today.

Update: I called the number and argued for a while and I think they're sending my rebate. I say I think because the woman with whom I was speaking was using a language with which I was not familiar.
just got an email that my rebate was mailed.

woot! $63 for this awesome remote is a damn good deal.
I just got my rebate about 3 weeks ago. I guess they had to think about mine for 6 months first.

Btw, there's about a half second delay with each button press on my remote. Is that normal, or is mine FUBAR?
