But wait, it doesn't mena my hard drive is crashign though. if I get an arcade, can I just pop out my hard drive and put it in the new unit? That way I don't have to worry about transferring saves or anything.
Also, I'm feeling like crap. I've been getting sicker over the past three days. I'm supposed to go into work tomorrow. I'll have to see how I feel.
Edit: If I cna just transfer my hard drive I'll order one of those walmart arcades tonight for $$260. I have a $35 in walmert gift cards and I get two free games, 12 month card, and another gift card.
You sort of can. You'll have to redownload all your XBLA content to get the licenses right (if you ever play xbox 360 not connected to live) after using the DRM tool. I think they just overwrite the old copy though, so no biggie. You'll also have to delete and reinstall any game you have on your HDD, but that's not a huge deal.
I'd say if you're not seeing corrupt saves and shit like that, that you're probably in the clear... I've not heard a lot about HDDs failing... usually it's the console. If you have an MU kicking around, you could try to recreate the lock/crash with no HDD installed and see if it happens.
