I picked up a bunch of these. I skipped NIN, since i already have perfect drug from the Track Pack 2 export. I skipped Cars and Jimmy Buffet, because I felt they would be more annoying than enjoyable, and I skipped All That Remains, because, and I'm probably showing my age here, I have no idea who they are. Offspring still hasn't dropped, but I'll get it when/if it does. I may still change my mind about the Cars. Thanks OP, and thanks FreeStuffFan85 for your detailed writeup.

Thanks, you guys. I'm glad I could help out. :) I'm not sure when that Offspring price is dropping, but here's the link again:

Offspring Pack 01

And a little off-topic:

I noticed that izpep and mokmoof said they needed a LEGO RB export code. I did some digging through my games this weekend, and I actually have one :360:LEGO code unused (my sister was supposed to have it last year, but she said didn't want for some reason :whistle2:?). I'm looking for MS points right now, since I missed the Walmart deal Friday and quite a few people on my XBL friends list are getting Linkin Park's DLC Tuesday. So if either of you guys are interested, let me know. 800 MS points or $10 Paypal. I'd prefer the points, but Paypal is fine. I'll probably send both of you PMs tomorrow, since my internet has been acting weird all weekend.

I also have one unused :360: Green Day Rock Band export code (800 MS points/$10 Paypal) and one unused :360: Track Pack 2 export code (400 MS points/$5 Paypal) if anyone else is interested in DLC.

I just bought Moving Pictures, The Cars, and Evenescense.
I already have The Police songs, The NiN pack, and the All That Remains pack.
For anyone on the fence about it, get the ATR pack. Top-notch and fun to play.

And they're still working on it...
Hey tweeps, as we mentioned last week, we are working with Msoft to fix the Offspring DLC sitch. Updates to come! Stay tuned!
Rock Band 2: You will need the disc, 800 MSP and the one-time use code on the back of the manual (this code can also be used to download a 20-pack of free bonus songs).
I'm going to try and buy a copy of RB2 with an export code, so I can play RB2 songs in RB3.
Do you know if it's still possible to download the 20-pack of free bonus songs that was released after RB2?
Somewhere I read you can re-download if it's in your download history, but I don't know if it's still in the market.

Also I kept waiting for HMX to get microsoft to fix the offspring pricing, and hoped they'd extend the 360 sale to cover it, but looks like they won't :

p.s. The Offspring pack, while not discounted as intended in the Xbox360 sale is available for the discounted price on the PS3. Enjoy!

I'm still hoping for the drop, big rockband party tomorrow, I'd hate to waste points :(

The disc is unnecessary, they force you to download them all over again. I didn't put my disc in once.

The same code that you will use to export RB2 songs to RB3 is also used to get the free 20-pack. You can still redeem it online as long as the code has not been previously used to get the pack. Link:

RB2 registration site

The email address that you enter will receive a conformation email. Once you click the link in that email, you will receive an XBL code that can be used to download the 20-free pack. You can either redeem that code on xbox.com or you can ask them to email that code to you, if you are worried about losing it or plan to redeem it at a later date. :)

I updated it. It was supposed to say "Rock Band 3 disc". The way I wrote it suggested that the Rock Band 2 disc is used. Thanks for pointing that out. My apologies.

And still no Offspring discount? Too much awesomeness for people to pass up. If they could just drop it to 240 MS points...
So in order to export the Rock Band 2 songs you don't need the disc, just the code? That's what I'm getting from skimming a few posts.
It's easier to just quote myself on this one (see below):
Rock Band 2: You will need the Rock Band 3 disc, 800 MSP and the one-time use code on the back of the Rock Band 2 manual (this code can also be used to download a 20-pack of free bonus songs). Enter the manual code in the Rock Band 3 menu ("Get More Songs"). You pay the export fee, and you will have 70 of the 84 Rock Band 2 songs. The free Rock Band pack contains 9 bonus songs from Rock Band 2's export. The remaining 5 RB2 songs don't export.
I downloaded the 20 free DLC songs when the first came out but, is there any way to retrieve my rock band 2 export code? I lost my manual in airport baggage some time ago.

Like since I downloaded the 20 songs, is my code stored on the rock band website or something?

You could try emailing EA support and they MIGHT give you a new code to use for exporting RB2. I know that some people had an issue of not being able to use their old codes and got new ones from EA. But I don't know what happened in instances where people no longer had their old manuals. Look through your old emails and see if you can find the email that you were sent when you received the 20-free code. That should help you prove your case at least. You can also double-check the RB forum account that you redeemed the RB2 code with (I'm not sure if your manual code would be there or not, but you can screen cap the profile page for EA support if necessary).

If the code isn't in any email, all you can do is ask them for another one. Worst case scenario: they say "sorry we can't help you." But best case scenario: "here is your new code _________". Good luck.

Yeah I just gave EA a call and they gave me a new code no questions asked.

NICE! Don't forget about the other 9 free songs from the RB2 export if you don't have them already. :)
