Just bought this, if anybody's curious about how the downloading works. The order/credit card processing is handled by FastSpring. There's a button for Paypal, but I entered a credit card directly. The order page accepted a plus-addressing gmail address just fine. Immediately after you click purchase on the FastSpring order site, you're taken to a page with links to all the versions of Machinarium, Samorost 2, the soundtracks, and the special christmas cover art, each as a separate download. The files themselves are hosted by Amazon's S3 servers (no download manager needed), and Firefox/DownThemAll is currently grabbing them at 750KB/s, basically linespeed for me.

I also received 4 emails right away, the first an order summary and then one email of links for Machinarium + soundtrack, one for Samorost + soundtrack, and one for the cover art download. They're the same links as on the post-order page, in case you had closed that window. The email mentions that the links expire in 14 days. If you miss the download window, I assume Amanita would probably respond to an email with some new ones.

The windows installer is a standard setup.exe-type installer, with no online activation or checks. It can be easily backed up.

The soundtrack alone is easily worth $10. I just finished both games and Machinarium is probably the best game I've played all year. I loved it :)

Bump for final day of sale.

Even after Steam's 50% discount, Machinarium is $9.99. Buy it from the dev for the same price and get Samorost 2, OSTs, and some snazzy graphics.

This had fallen to page 3, but I actually just purchased it. The deal states that it expires (from the devs, not from Impulse) on the 25th, but its apparently still active.

I thought about waiting for a Steam deal, but as a Mac user, this makes more sense for me (since it includes Mac and Linux versions).
