Madden 06 In-Game (Xbox 360) Footage *CRINGE*
Seems to me that Oblivion and all the 2K and EA Sports games look a lot nicer than "little better looking current gen game".
Correct me if I'm wrong Animefalcon, but I believe Animefalcon was talking about Gun, THPS, and other multiplatform games that are being released on the 360.
, and the fact that it's coming out way earlier than the PS3 will only make that Xbox name stronger.
Maybe..

Ummm, this seems to have strayed from MAdden....anyways, I switched a pre-order at GameRush...this is one of the six 260 games I have coming to me now :)

Looks good

As a fellow Shadow Hearts buff, I hate to disagree with you, but it will. Right now, the current Xbox is the "hip, cool" thing in entertainment right now, which is EXACTLY what Microsoft wants. An entire holiday season of Xbox 360 marketing and build up to those types of people will guarantee them a slice, albeit a small one, of Sony's market share. Consumers these days like the newest, flashiest trends, and the Xbox 360 is going to be in the front and center of that come this holiday season.

Its Dreamcast All over agian. Great looking first party and some third party games, but most(not all) third party looks like a little better looking current gen game. The next Gen will really get kicking with the other 2 consoles out, untill then xbox 360 is the DC of the cross over to next gen. Its not microsoft(same thing with sega) fault but the lazzy third party. With xbox360 Quake 4s 8 player multiplayer and iffy frame rate, it looks like xbox 360 won't be taking over the PC games.
Look at the PS1 THPS2 to the DC THPS2 all it is is silghtly better textures and some more polygons. Its going to be the same thing as with xbox GUN compare to XBox 360 gun

Maybe because Gun is a direct port? Why not make that same comparison, but change Gun to NBA 2K6. The 2 versions look incredibly different. Same goes with Madden for the 360, FIFA...

And the Xbox 360 has enough graphical horsepower to forever compete with the Playstation 3. You're not even beginning to see the type of graphical power it can pump out, because they are first generation games. Compare a PS2 launch game, like The Bounce, to God of War. BIG difference. To think that these current 360 launch titles are the best the 360 can do graphically is ridiculous, not only are they first generation, but the final dev kits that powered the creation of these games haven't even been in the hands of developers for 6 months; most developers got their kits in June (some even later).

What are you basing this on?

Bumping this up for the new Madden videos that IGN has up, one is the intro for the game with McNabb staging a comeback against NE and the other is called "Rapping and Running" which is more of a video of the running backs in the game to the tune of one of the rap songs in the game. Enjoy.
Wow. Madden 2007 is going to be great!
Ummm, yep...it'll probably be great NEXT YEAR ;)
I know. I'd never buy a first gen Madden on a new system - they are always sub par. Once EA works out the kinks Madden 2007 should be fantastic.

:? I got Madden 2001 with my PS2 at launch and didn't notcie anything wrong. It's was a good and fun game that looked great at the time.

Its amazing how EA has clung to that Madden 2001 engine for all these years, tweaking and adding new crap, but at its heart, its just the same old game...its just like Marge Simpson's Chanel dress

Reading through the new IGN preview, it basically echoes a lot of the recent talk about the game: mainly, that it actually IS excellent. I for one am happy that it's not just a direct port and has been built "from the ground up" so to speak.

Tiburon has the biggest team to ever work on a Madden game working on the 360 version, and it shows by the leaps the game has made over the past couple of months. Everything from passing to running the ball has been smoothed out from what we were first shown at X05 and the more recent San Francisco 360 event. The only disappointing thing is that the game (like all EA Sports games at launch) is going to ship running at 30 frames per second as opposed to 60. There were still a few hitches here and there while running in the open field that I noticed, but hopefully these will be cleaned up by the time the game is finished. But what people saw at X05 with the constant crashes and numerous bugs definitely isn't representative of what you will play come November, so Madden fans can breathe a sigh of relief. From what I've had the chance to play so far, this game is looking more Steelers than Texans, with plenty of big plays, hard hits, and end zone celebrations to spare."

I'm a little surprised that the screenshot released showing Marvin Lewis doesn't really look like him. With how well they do faces on NBA Live, I would have thought that they could have got the likenesses of the coaches right.

It's really shaping up nicely now. That new video with McNabb looks amazing. Too bad I'm not getting an Xbox 360 in the foreseeable future...

Imagine how good nfl2kXX would of looked on 360 if selfish old EA wouldnt of bought the NFL license.

Every coach I have seen in screenshots looks excellent. Have you seen virtual Bill Cowher? They perfectly recreated his iron chin.
