Did Madden let you use rips songs last year? On the regular Xbox that is. That was one thing that really was awesome about 2K5. You can use different songs for different in-game events like touchdowns, 1st downs, extra points, halftime...

The other day, my brother was telling me about a stunt that Chad Johnson tried to pull. During a Bengals game in mid-December, he had a bag full of signed (by him, naturally) merchandise, along with a Santa beard, hat, and a fucking REINDEER in the stadium. This was the setup for a touchdown celebration.

In the end, the moment was anticlimactic, as he spent most of his post-TD searching for the bag, and didn't put on the hat/beard; the deer was nowhere to be found on camera.

If *THAT* ain't in Madden 2007, then I'll wait until it hits $30. Of course, I know it's not in the game, so I'll still wait until $30 or lower. I still haven't purchased a football game since 2K5.
 
I always found Madden to be far superior to the 2K series. Thats not to say I didnt enjoy the Sega Sports football games, but Madden was just more enjoyable to play year after year. That is to say, neither really changed much throughtout the years....

And yes, this soundtrack is atrotious.
 
ST's for most games suck anyways so what's the big deal? I always end up turning it off and loading up something on my computer, or just having no soundtrack playing at all ever if the option is available.

The only "selling-out" I dislike is if I'm forced to watch a billion trailers, ads, etc. for products that I don't want.

Don't worry, I do that to those people as well. I merely posted this because EVERYTIME someone mentions an EA Sports game, besides "just a roster update", they almost always complain about the music. Plus, on forums like these, whenever you mention a band or artists, you always get 3 or 4 morons who come in with "that band sucks" or "You listen to that garbage." I like to encourage debate among my peers, just because that happens to be negative debate is purely coincidental.

And to the 2 guys who said they wanted NFL Films music, there was plenty of that in Madden 06's soundtrack, all those classic tunes that would be in the background of classic NFL Films highlights, along with the narration by John Facenda. Those are the only tracks I listened to in last years game.
