Yeah, I have no idea what the problem was, but DeskLaser and I tried everything and just couldn't get connected. I guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for a good sim unless we're able to get it to work tonight/tomorrow morning.

You can get any ONE free agent you want. So yes they are up for grabs but you can only sign one of them.

The worst thing would be for someone to go through and sign 15 free agents.


Also guy we are starting to get a little bogged down it seems, lets get these games played and through the weeks a little quicker. Communicate with your opponent, set up times and play your games.
 
Vikes should trade All Day for Moss now. I want to see that QB/WR hook up back together, haha. AP/Berrian for Moss/Maroney or something. (I don't know values off the top of my head)

edit: ajh2298, if we're advancing this afternoon can you play tonight? i think i'm doing some laundry, but 10 pm EST and after I should be free for sure. Might be able to do 9, but it would be pushing it.

I should be able to play tonigt but it would have to be later maybe after 11:00 est I am at my mother-in-laws for the rest of the week till Sunday but I did bring my 360 and my network adapter so I should be able to get on-line.

I thought about going after some old Jets, maybe Coles or Santana Moss but I don't have a ton of flexibility besides maybe LB. And I didn't really want Coles back, haha.

gg Phins. sorry about that late score, I was just trying to run out the clock with Leon and he happens to break it on his first attempt. Ginn was a beast on kick returns, was going to start kicking it out if the squibs weren't working.

Dolphins vs Jets Game Recap
The Rex Ryan defense, while looking shaky at times throughout the season, stepped up during their 2nd meeting with the Miami Dolphins. The same could not be said for the NY Jets special teams unit that let Ted Ginn Jr. not only run one TD back, but two. That was all Miami saw of the end zone, however. As they settled for a field goal on their only other score. Final score 42-17.

Rookie Mark Sanchez continues to be a great game manager for New York. As he played mistake free going 6 for 11 on 160 yards passing and 3 touchdowns. Running back Thomas Jones took the bulk of the load on this rain soaked evening carrying it for 98 yards and receiving for another 85.

I am going to drop out of the league this game is just not fun anymore for me, and with NHL, ODST, and MW2 I would like to spend my limited gaming time with games I at least enjoy to play.
 
MW2 isnt even out for a full month? I would like to ask all of the people who dropped to come back in a explain exactly why they dropped....if it wasnt due to a hardware problem of some sort.

I starting to question that some of these guys shouldnt have even started the league in the first place. And by no means is this a bash on them, you can spend your time doing whatever the hell you want I just want to know what exactly changed that the league isnt fun anymore.

We are also having way to many team change requests, pick a team and stay with them, we can switch up the teams after the season. Albo you have either been trying to trade everyone off your team or switch teams since you joined, if you have a back up team thats fine but please stop asking to switch to every single team that becomes vacant.

I assume it's because they are losing. Losing isn't fun, but this isn't a hardcore league. There's definitely room for growth through the draft and just getting better at the game. Sorry if my game vs you was the final straw. I thought it was fun and you were moving the ball fairly well. Just not scoring.

edit: but I don't think we should try to guilt people into playing either, Sood. It sucks people are dropping and I would like to know exactly why too. But in the end of they aren't into it then it'll be easier on the league to not have to drag these people into games.

I wasnt trying to guilt, just asking why they dropped so that maybe we can change rules,set up, etc for next time.

My concern is that I think some people underestimated the competition/there own skill in the league. Just because its not a hardcore league doesnt mean most people are not good at the game. Now I dont want to imply that he sucks at the game I am just pointing out that although this isnt a hardcore league there are still some really good players in this league.

I think we should make that more clear for next time so that people understand, "Not Hardcore" does not equal Everyone is the same skill level and you are still prone to get killed in certain games.

The losing doesnt bother me I know I am not really any good at the game in the first place so I came into the league knowing I would suck. Its more of a gaming/time issue I have an hour when I get home from work and about a hour at night before I go to bed during weekdays and maybe an extra hour or two on the weekends to game. Whats wrong with me spending my time gaming with games I actually enjoy to play andI feel I am good at? The truth is I enjoy playing Madden and every year I talk myself into buying it thinking this is the year I will stick it out and get better at it, but than NHL comes out and I never touch it again and than end up trading it in for mext to nothing. I think its because I know I can play 2-3 games of NHL in the time it takes to play one game of Madden and once I realize that playing Madden is not fun to me anymore and it becomes more or a chore for me to get through a whole game.
 
Thats fine, I never said there was anything wrong with playing a different game. Its your time play whatever the hell you want.

To be honest I also have a legit concern with my personal time set aside for madden. With 2k10, Fifa 10, MW2, L4D2 there doesnt seem to be a lot of time to spare for madden...which I really like this version (hated madden for a while) but its still as 2nd to 3rd rate game compared to the much better polished sports games and cant even hold a light to games like MW2 and L4D2.

Thats why I push so hard for people to get games done quickly because I will be really surprised if the league can last into the middle of next season without a done of drops outs and time concerns.
 
Well, I re-joined as the Dolphins since no one told me otherwise after I said I would. I doubt there will be a problem as I only played one game with the Bengals (and won) and the other two were simmed.

We have 4 (sigh) vacancies now, which 1 should be filled up soon.
 
My bad dude, totally did not know. =/ I didn't think it was a big deal since I only played one game and they had the same record.
 
I also just want to say that with all the concern about players staying active I think soon we should stop letting in replacement players and just stick with what we got until the new season starts. At some point bringing in potentially non-reliable players hurts the league more than just playing the CPU. Season 2 might even be better off with 16 active players instead of 16 active and 16 that don't care.
