Madden 10 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE (Tournament)- LOTS OF TEAMS AVAILABLE!

He has a point, it looks like at the time Matt Young's game froze he was down 20-0. The CPU actually won the second half 13-0, so I don't see how he can claim the outcome would have been much different. I'm not doubting that his game froze, I'm sure that's true, but I don't think it's reasonable for itlnstln to have to play it over.
 
I am not doubting his game froze either and have no issue replaying the game.

Hey sorry, if you see "MasterAwesome" online, chances are it isn't even me. I live in a house with 3 other guys who play my xbox more than I do and watch movies on it pretty regularly. It's setup to automatically log on to MasterAwesome every time the 360 is turned on. It would be a lot more efficient to give me a time either today or tomorrow where I can log on to play you. I've been logging on every once in a while the past few days to see if you're online so we can play our game, but I guess we probably keep just missing each other. I'll continue to check every now and then to see if you're on too.

I'll also tell my roommates to let me know if they ever see a message from you so I can at least send a message back to you if they're in the middle of a movie or something.

Really? REALLY? That's why I've beaten you every other time we've played, right? I won the division in season 1- over you, might I add. And I finished last season at 11-5- BETTER THAN YOU.

I was not logged in to XBL, and you would not have even been able to see if I was since I was appearing offline in the first place. I always have a tab open to Xbox.com, though, so maybe that was why.

Saying it's MY mistake that the game froze is pure idiocy. How is it my fault? I didn't make it freeze.

Yes, you were up 20-0. But with half the game left, I had plenty of time to come back. And, although the first interception was completely my fault, the next 2 saw your d-backs literally teleport halfway across the field, skipping many frames of animation, just to grab the ball.

So, let's review:

1. You say you're better than me. I've beaten you every time we've played, and finished ahead of you in both seasons.

2. You say it's my fault that the game froze, when you know that's not true.

3. You claim you'd be happy to replay the game, AFTER you finished against the CPU to ensure that that would never happen.

So it looks like your "points" are pretty worthless.
 
Well, I got on Xbox Live a lot throughout the day but unfortunately GetAWhale hasn't been on since yesterday. I've been checking on here too but this thread has been dead all day it seems. Unfortunately, tomorrow is my busiest day of classes - I'm pretty much on campus straight from 11:00 to 7 p.m., and it takes about 30 minutes to walk back to my house so I would be able to play at 7:30 at the earliest. I know the deadline is 8 p.m. which wouldn't really give us enough time to play through our game (assuming GetAWhale would even be able to play at 7:30), so I'm not sure what to do. If you get a chance to read this GetAWhale, I'll log on to Xbox Live right away when I get home at around 7:30 to see if you're there. If you can only play earlier, then you guys can go ahead and temporarily boot me or whatever and have him play against the computer. I wish there was a more efficient way of doing this...it seems like only a handful of people regularly check these forums.
 
Listerfiend78 - When can you play our week 4 game, assuming we are moving forward tonight? I am available all weekend. Let me know via CAG PM.

If by "no sense in going back and forth" you mean I proved you to be completely wrong. I can see why you'd avoid addressing that.
 
So...I just checked Xbox Live and he hasn't been on since yesterday, how do you wanna proceed with this? My friend is on my 360 playing a game on his own account so I'm not currently online, but if GetAWhale shows up or if you want me to play against the computer, I can easily kick my friend off and play my game as soon as you want.
 
I can wait until we at least hear from him tonight. If you guys can't get it going tonight or sometime tomorrow then i'll go ahead and sim or boot.
 
Alright, well I have two tests tomorrow so I'll be at the library studying all night most likely. I should be finished and back at my house around 11:30 tomorrow morning but I'm probably gonna be exhausted and ready to pass out. I'm afraid I'll probably be sleeping during most of the day unless we can get in touch about a time tomorrow afternoon when he can play so I can set my alarm or something. I also got a Senior Formal thing for my college tomorrow night so I won't be available past 7 p.m. either. Worst case scenario, you can go ahead and have him play against the computer if we can't coordinate on a time.
 
At this point I think it would just make sense to sim the game, doesn't really seem like its anybodys fault and theres no point delaying any further.

Cool, didn't expect to win that. Would you be able to play around noon tomorrow (Friday) ubernes? Friday and Saturday night won't work for me either and I'll probably be sleeping all day tomorrow, but I can get our game in first.

eastern? umm how about 11:30am? I forgot I'm heading out for some pickup basketball at 12:30pm so noon might be cutting it close. 11:30 or if we can get it going like right at 11:45am that would be ideal.
 
I wasn't aware of a Madden 10 league till now, looks like you guys are in the middle of a season...but if you guys need to fill a team or do another league I would love to be in this.

Lions owner I'm available for the next 3 hours. I'm on Alaska time so if you don't stay up late we may have to do it Saturday. I'm available tommorrow after 9 eastern and all day Saturday except for when the Celtics play

After some research, you are incorrect.

"I played a good game with itlnstln. The Packers were defending their 1 game lead over Detroit in the division, in Detroit. I went up 7-0, and he came back with field goals, making it 7-6 at the half and 9-7 Lions in the 3rd. I had a good drive going till Griese threw a pick six and I ended up losing. Fun game, though.

Season 1, game 2 I believe was simmed due to the fact that I was unable to win the division as you had the tie-breaker.

I did not play in Season 2, so not sure how you did - but you did not play me.

gg MasterAwesome, even if the score didn't show it was a tough one I was sweatin it. your offense got off to a crazy start, but luckily I was able to adjust and clog up the middle of the field on you a bit with Leohard roaming free out there.
 
I'd like to nominate Alex Smith as the worst QB in the league. He first two throws were interceptions. He ending up throwing for 47 yards all game, 25 of which was on the last play against prevent defense. The Niners ended with 21 offensive yards, a new personal best, and this was from a usually decent, but not great, Saints defense.

I just got home. As I mentioned in my last post, I will be unable to play tonight, unless the CAG NHL 10 team decides to end things early. I already made the commitment to play that tonight, as Friday is our "official" hockey night.

But other than the hours of 10 P.M. Eastern to (approximately) 1 A.M. Eastern tomorrow, I am free for the weekend. Let me know what day and time you'd prefer.
 
Just out of curiousity...What's the competition level like? I used to be really into Madden, where I would compete in local tournaments in what not..but that was for PS2 years and years ago. I'm not nearly close to that level anymore, but i'm pretty decent. Is everyone in here insanely good? Or is it a mix of crappy, good, and great players?

It's a mix. I don't know if there are any "crappy" players, per se, but I feel I'm about average (maybe slightly below since I went 2 months without playing a human opponent) as are others in the league. There are a few guys who are insanely good, such as BigAT and Venom. '

I don't know some of the new guys, though. But the competition's not so tough that you can't win. Last season's champion was Mr. Grand Cru. He's better than me, judging by his overall performance but I still beat him in the game we played last season.

Aww Venom is insanely good? Eff. Haha.

At least the Fins from my league didn't make it over to this one, I'd never make it to the playoffs. They had my numbers with Pat White.

But yeah, I agree with Matt, it's a solid mix of good, great, with a couple better than great, but we all play like crap sometimes and I feel like any given game anyone can beat mostly anyone.
