I must say that is the first time an excellent field goal kicking display has beat me in a game. I tried keeping my dude in the end zone after the pick but he moved out on his own it killed me on that drive. I can't complain after that crazy 70 yard td by Austin

it was a good, even game. i was just now thinking about it, and that TD i scored at the end of the second quarter on 4th down was basically the difference, in my view. so in that regard, it's lucky that you chose to kick at the top - otherwise i woulda been getting the ball back at half anyway and might not have gone for it.

honestly i couldn't get a thing going on offense, lots of 3 and outs

the field goals were just gravy. not that difficult with a pro-bowler like Longwell.

i was happy that i nearly broke one off with Harvin like i did in my replay with the Packers earlier tonight. but that was cancelled out by your wide open pass in the 4th quarter, i guess either witten or austin.. that was nuts. i paused to watch the replay because i had no idea where my team was on that one, i called at least 2 guys in deep zones.

but yeah. lots of fun. good game. it was the lucky shoes.

Thanks, I sent that over to the Chargers. I assume they will play today or tomorrow. And that will leave us with Bengals/Steelers. I would say we should be able to advance late Saturday afternoon.

I think I'm playing the CPU next week, but I won't be able to play this weekend since I'll be moving. I'm hoping I'm able to set up to play quickly in my new place, but I'd say Monday or Tuesday is the earliest I could play most likely.

I just tried to rejoin the franchise it told me I was banned...i guess ubernes will have to send me an invite to join back in...

Yeah you need an invite to get back in, I did the same thing with AntiVenom.

I already played the week 7 game against the Texans right after we advanced, I'm just looking ahead to week 8 and when we might be advancing. Just wanted to give a heads up it might take me longer than usual to play my CPU game. ;)

Alright Niners, my finals are coming up in the next several days (first one is tomorrow), but let me know when is good for you and I'll be glad to take a break from studying to play our game. I'll be studying all night at the library so the earliest I'll be able to play is around 11 a.m. after my exam. Just give me any time after that and I'll make myself available.

Saturday advancing should be no problem, I hope. Really depends on this Charger/Pats game. I'm going to push them on my end and also remind the Eagles we've advanced.
 
Bears and Niners are done. Man I really don't belong in this league...I think I might just drop out, most of these games are really depressing lol. If I happen to win a game or even just score a touchdown it's usually really lucky and when I lose, I get destroyed. I'll just practice a lot and be ready for next season hopefully. :'(

Haha, you only lost 2 games. The Niners are damn good and I'm not too shabby either, I wouldn't say you don't belong. Cowboys and Vikings aren't easy Ws.

edit: oops I guess you lost to the Pats too, but they are supposed to be really good too apparently and that one was close.
 
Master Awesome our game was a lot closer than the score indicated, its just that you started to force throws toward the end of the game and the few picks that I got really made the score uglier than the game was....i definitely think you belong.
 
Finally made it back onto the forums after some stupid password ordeal. It's nice to be back, so now I can post again hah. I finished my game against SD and won fairly easily.

I'd say you should stick with it. The only way to get better is practice against human opponents. You're not even that far back in your division either.

The saints and Titans also have impressive records right now.
Looks like there will be a battle between myself and the Steelers for the #6 seed, but I'm sure either one of us will be wiped out by the 3 seed (currently Titans).
I'm without Cedric Benson for the next four weeks, those games being the Browns, Ravens (totally screwed), Chargers (where did he go?) and the Texans.
One loss is virtually guaranteed, which would put me at 5 losses for the season. Another loss against ubernes later in the season and I'll have at least 6 losses, should be interesting!
 
I've got the Broadway Row and his Rivaled New York Jets coming to Foxboro this week, Should be a good game. If he's got all the recent additions his offense is going to be scary. Anyways I'm available any time Broadway. Hit me up on Live, FB, Aim, or Here once we've advanced and you can play.
 
Alrighty guys, I'm going to advance us. I wanted to give the Eagles a little bit of time even though he's vs CPU because I told everyone we'd advance Saturday around this time. But...he doesn't seem to be on so I'm just going to sim him.

The Chargers are still in, he just was a bit swamped at the end of the week and into the weekend so he just suggested I boot him for this week so we can play that game and move on.

Venom, I can play anytime between now and... at least the next 2 hours, probably 3. Just let me know when. I can also do tomorrow between 4-8pm est or late (after the Mets game).

Interesting predictions. Deuce has had my number the last couple season though, I think he may be 2-0 or 3-1? Either way, the odds haven't been in my favor, but we'll see come playoff time.

Ubernes has been the biggest problem for me in past games so if I had to predict anyone beating me (and i dont lol), it'd be him and his Jets... Grand Cru has spoke highly of BigAt but i havent played him yet so i dont know whether i should be concerned or not.

Azu, i literally laughed out loud when i read ur post... u might not have Benson but i'm not so sure u still wont be able ot run the ball. Your offensive line was pushing my d-line around like they were lightweights.

Don't sleep on my Titans. This is the first league I've played in but I'm getting better against human opponents. I actually beat Ubernes in the one scrimmage we played (though it was close). I haven't been tested against the elite AFC competition yet. Given that ubernes and venom will probably beat up on each other a bit, I'd actually say I'm probably the favorite to be the 2 seed at this point, that's certainly what I'm gunning for.

I like you doing predictions though, you should totally do a weekly Power Rankings. ;)

On another note, I am in my new place, but I haven't tried setting up the wireless for the 360 yet, I'll be doing that later tonight.
 
Woohoo, wireless works great in my new place (first time I've used my new wireless adapter on XBL, so I was a bit nervous).

Played a relatively close game against my local team (The Redskins, though having grown up in NE I'm of course a Pats fan) which turned into a laugher at the end. Couldn't resist running it up on them, though I was particularly shameless 45-10.
 
Just had a great game with Venom. I thought it was going to be much rougher with Clemens throwing after my first play-action pass soared over my target, but I settled in with him and he did alright.

The turning point of the game for me was definitely the pick-six on my 2 yard line. I couldn't get my offense going, but after that it started falling more into place. I thought Leon Washington's fumbles (2) were going to be the death of me, both on screens I believe and both getting nailed by your safety. I started running it out of bounds with him haha.

edit: AND I switched in LT thinking he has the same sort of catching ability + speed but with a better carry rating and he got injured on his first play haha. ridic.

That was the most like exciting game I've ever had haha, I originally called FB Dive which probably would've worked better. Then I audibled out thinking I had Morris and BANG You picked it. That was a sick game, I look forward to the rematch whenever it is, Haha hopefully I can get some redemption in New York, Possibly tackle Leon Washington some more lmao.

Welcome to my life. Just hang in man, I still suck after almost two seasons but, those few huge upsets you pull off (haha albearrr) make the controller chucking, hair pulling, day ruining games worth it.
Speaking of controller chucking, albearrr, if you are at all monitoring hit me up for a time/date for our game. Sooner the better.

I don't see another Venom lol. Haha he got me once on Special Teams cause Moss fumbled and fucked over my last ditch effort to win. I'm looking forward to the rematch! BTW It's me Matt, I finally asked cheapyd to set my password and it worked so I'm back on here.

Friend just left and I have nothing to do, so:

Week 8 Power Rankings (USER TEAMS ONLY):

1. New York Giants 7-0 - with the return of Eli Manning, this team looks to go 16-0 after the bye week, with its dominant defense and tough running game.
2. Baltimore Ravens 7-0 -
3. New Orleans Saints 6-0 - obliterating opponents, but lack of user vs. user games is a big question mark.
