Madden 10 "The Replacements" The Ingural Season, completed!

^Info pm'd, there is still room for anyone else interested in joining.

Lets get those games played as I will be advancing later this evening if all games are played or tomorrow regardless.

Games left:
Matt Young vs Galego23
JStryke vs CPU

Gonna kick-start this off with putting some VALUABLE GUYS on trading block.

FT:

Matt Hasselback
Larry Fitzgerlad--YES THAT IS RIGHT!!! 99 OVERALL. HE IS A MONSTER.

WANT:

CBs!
Great PR/KR (as trade fodder)
Upgrade at HB (Michael Turner, Adrian Peterson, or Brandon Jacobs)
Upgrade at Center (my guy is a 79)

Of course, I'm willing to accept things not on my wants as long as they are positions I am in need of.

Willing to trade other guys not on my trading list.

I'm interested in redrafting. Partially because I missed the first draft, partially because of Mrs Flacco.

Speaking of, he's now on the trade block if somebody is interested. Not that he's worth much. >_>

Also, about to play my game now. Ended up going to my sister's for a couple hours which I wasn't expecting today.

We'll redraft after this season, but lets all stay focused and get to week 17 first!

I'm also going to advance us to week 5 this evening once JStryke is done playing against the CPU since it looks like Matt and Galego are having issues finding a good time for both of them.

We've advanced to week 5; jaym and moonknight25 have the week off. Please communicate with your opponent if it isn't the CPU so you can play the game asap.

In the midst of what was looking to be a long season, luck was on the redskins side for what many people were calling the Wednesday "Game of the Night". The skins put the first points on the board with a 44 yard field goal which bounced off the crossbar and in. Jim Zorn could be seen with a smile a mile wide after what had to be the best thing to happen to the Skins so far this season. That smile went away 15 seconds later when Jeff Garcia threw a 80 yard bomb to Derrick Ward.

The redskins pressured on however and nobody would score again until time expired at the end of the half where Elam kicked his second field goal of the night for 33 yards to make it 7-6. Jim Zorn was seen in the locker room a bit nervous though. While it was a close game, this was far from over and he's seen his share of blow ups and knew this was far from over.

The redskins opened the 3rd quarter with a nice drive which ended with a 20 yard pass to Dallas Clark for the TD. Not having anything to lose, they decide to go for the conversion, and once again Flacco connects with Clark to make it a 7 point lead. Not half a minute later, and Garcia saw his man and threw a 73 yard bomb to Nate Washington to tie it up.

"All I could think of was here we go again," Zorn told reporters after the game. The ball went back and forth in the 4th with no change in score until the Skins got to field goal territory. Jason Elam makes a short 25 yard kick to give his team the lead with a minute to spare. The offense was nervous as the defense took the field again. Garcia went to the air again looking to get the win where Roman Harper made the beautiful interception to secure his team the win.

The happiest person on the team was most likely Flacco. While he was due to get heat from Owens tonight who ended the game with a -1 in yardage, he threw a season low 0 interceptions. When asked about trade rumors, Flacco smiled. "The only trading we're doing tonight is trading our beer of sorrows for a nice bottle of champagne."

JStryke, I'll trade you Daunte Culpepper for Joe Flacco.

This is such horse shit. I don't know what was different in my first game, but my last 2 games have been 28-7 losses. I just have a horrible team, and keep getting screwed when it comes to luck. This last game, I threw a pick 6 on my first pass and fumbled for a TD return on the ensuing kickoff. Like the last game, the QB was 90% accurate and I couldn't catch anything. My receivers dropped countless balls.

This isn't happening in my other franchises. It's becoming more of a chore to play. I've been having about as much fun as a guy having his ballsack dragged over porcupines' backs.

I think I'm going to say no deal to that one. I looked at the ratings, and providing I was looking at the numbers correctly, they seemed to be pretty similar. Some noteable differences were Flacco's deep / medium accuracy for higher (not that I agree with that stat), in exchange for Culpepper's running ability which isn't really my style. Plus, I think threatening Flacco with a trade has made him play better.

As for my game against static, it was pretty fun. My offense pretty much let loose (in the first half anyways) and I had a beautiful (if not unconventional) run by LJ for a TD on a 3 and 10 situation. Both our running games were unstoppable beasts with us both ranging between 150-200 yards in our running games. Came down to the final play as well. I was in the redzone down 28-21 and couldn't pull off the TD to send it to overtime. So very close game.

I think my favorite part was in the (I think) 2nd quarter, we basically played catch with the opposing defense. I picked him off, and just a few plays later he picked me off again. I laughed a fair bit to myself after that series.

Not such a hot start for the Cards this week, as the defense showed some early rust following the bye week and Nate Burleson took a pass 80 yards for a touchdown on the first offensive play of the game (whoops). That was quickly erased as Steve Smith had a 58 yard touchdown reception of his own. My offense was beastly in the first half, scoring touchdowns each of the first four times they had the ball. Jason Campbell has really come on recently, throwing for 313 yards, 4 touchdowns and remaining interception free again.

Unfortunately, I had to cut Asante Samuel following the game after his unacceptable interception free performance. Chris Hope stole his spotlight and had two picks to his name.

The Cardinals win 41-17 and improve to 3-1 on the season.

And also Thank GOD that fumble got overturned.

I can't remember off hand if you scored off hand from that or not. But yeah, I believe I was close enough to possibly get a FG from that worst case scenario.

That was the other thing that hurt me two was giving up the huge plays, but then again, it kind of worked both ways.

I just wanted to let you guys know that i'm going on vacation starting sunday morning so sat night is the last time I can get online till next friday.

Dude Souldreaver man, sorry about missing you last night. I must have read your pm wrong because I thought you said to ignore the 11pm one and just shoot for a 6:30 start time today.

I will be on pretty much for the rest of the night maybe we can still get it in today.

Pats Take the Air Out of Mile High.

The New England Patriots continue their dominance beating the Denver Broncos 48 to 7. Marc Bulger continues to make a case for being the leagues MVP has he breaks a new NFL Record receiving another Perfect Rating of 158.3 today. Bulger went 12-14 for 176 yards and 2 TDs on a day where Denver Defense just didnt show up. "I am trying not to let it go to my head. I am just out their trying to make plays thats all....just trying to get the team in the best position to win."

Although Bulgers back to back perfect games has been the source of much media attention you cant not forgot about the rest of the team. Running Back Steven Jackson added 145 yards and one touchdown on the ground along with Desmond Clarks 6 grabs for just under 100 yards.

Not to mention the Pats defense which is been untouchable as of yet leading the NFL with 13 INT's. Racking up five interception to add to their growing total, two of which where run back for touchdowns. They also continued their newest trend of having a lineman get a INT, last week it was BJ Raji, this week Evander Hood the right end snagged his first,
pick six" of the year. "We are going to try to get all of the lineman touchdowns this year," said defensive captain Adrain Wilson. "I find it funny that these big 300 pound guys are nimble enough to dodge 3 or 4 guys for a score.

Key Stats.
M.Bulger 158.3 Passer Rating 12 for 14 176 Yards 2 TD
M. Hasselbeck 14 for 30 151 Yards 1 Rushing TD

Steven Jackson 145 Yards 1 TD
Thomas Jones 3 Yards

Pats Defense 5 INT 2 Defensive Touchdowns.

William Gay was Player of the game for his 2 INT one of which was returned for a Touchdown.

@pitfall - Figure I'll go ahead and post this now. But I most likely won't be available at all Saturday for our week 6 game. I have a fantasy draft in the morning at a friend's house and then I'm going to my brother in law's to see him DJ. Anytime Sunday (as long as I'm awake) is good though. EST time.

Damn.. I had a close game against the Seahawks. They got mean pressure against Aaron Rodgers and I threw, I think, 3 picks. Got it done in OT though. =p

ok see you there.

GG dude, it was a defensive struggle until that crazy 99 yard pass you nailed when i pinned you at the 1. I couldn't recover after that play lol. Broncos 14 Chargers 7

yeah gg man, we were doing terribly on offense for the first half. I couldn't believe I threw it right to your guy who was standing in front of my TE for a whole 5 seconds.

I was so pumped when I made that short pass that went for 99 yards.

try to not blitz me constantly, i was able to just dump it to the TE or HB everytime.

GG though man, it was close.

Good game with Soodmeg. Patriots (Soodmeg) over Titans/Oilers (IvanHood), 27-14. He forced a couple of unfortunate fumbles in the first half, one on my first kickoff return, which left me scoreless at half time. I broke a couple of big pass plays early in the second half, but was shut down for the rest of the game.

First and foremost, how the fuck did you let Ivan Hood draft all of his players? He has the most stacked team I have seen so far, Westbrook, M. Barbor, Witten, Culter, Merriman, Ogunleye, Orakpo, Hood just to name a few. Although, his O-Line is skimpy.

Anyway.

Pats Defense Come Through Against Titans.

The high powered offense of the New England Patriots met its match today against the equally high powered Titans defense. Mark Bulger was held to just 99 yards and 1 TD on 8 of 16 passing. Steven Jackson fared slightly better racking up 75 yards on the ground.

Fortunately for the New England they have one of the leagues best defenses which proved to much for the Titans to handle. "Yeah, we saw that our offense was struggling a little bit today so we knew we had to pick it up on defense to win the game," commented team captain Adrian Wilson. Pick it up is an understatement as Titans QB Jay Culter spent most of his time running for his life against the Pats blitz package. The Pats defense held both Brian Westbrook and Marion Barber to under 14 total rushing yards including 7 tackles for loss of yards. They didnt just stop the ground game, except for two big passing plays by Culter the Pats racked up 3 Sacks, 3 Interceptions and 3 Forced Fumbles which were all recovered by New England. "Its a good feeling knowing that if I cant get it done my team can bail me out," Bulger said after the game. "It takes a lot of the pressure off the offense knowing we will most likely get more chances than the other team."

Key Stats.
Marc Bulger 8 of 16 for 99 Yards 1 TD
Jay Culter 12 of 24 for 226 Yards 2 TDs.

Steven Jackson 75 Yards Rushing 1 TD
Brian Westbrook 0 Yards Rushing
Marion Barber 14 Yards Rushing

Pats Defense force 6 Turnovers. (3 INT, 3 FF)

Sebastian Janikowski representing for all the kickers around the league! Late in a rainy game at Giants Stadium, Seabass hustled down the field following a kickoff and was in position to scoop up a fumble. Janikowski and his 10 Finesse Moves rating took it and ran 22 yards for a touchdown giving him 14 points for the day.
