This was a game that was dominated by the Cardinals' special teams and defense. I only had 104 yards of total offense, but didn't need anything more than that, as I'm pretty sure all 34 of my points came off of turnovers.

It started after I got shut down on my first offensive possession and had to punt. Ricky Manning rocked Reggie Bush on a punt that probably should have been fair caught, causing him to fumble. What happened from there was bullshit though. One of CommanderZero's players jumped on the ball and was on top of it for a good second or two before Manning was able to get up and dive on it, initiating the fight for the fumble, which I managed to win. Any other year of Madden he would have easily recovered the ball and maintained possession. Instead, Darren Sproles scored a TD on the very next play.

On the Rams' next possession, I brought pressure up the middle which caused Tom Brady to get rid of the ball as he got hit. Tyjuan Hagler managed to quickly snag the ball out of the air and return it for a touchdown:

Another interception late in the second quarter set me up on the 20 with :04 left in the half, giving me an easy field goal as time expired. In total, Brady got intercepted 5 times, 3 of which were returned for touchdowns. Of course, Asante Samuel got in on the action:

That was pretty much it. I was still hanging around until the disaster that was the last 1 minute before halftime. And yeah the fumble recovery was bs. I mean my guy landed on the ball and manning was 2 yards behind him. I've seen that not generate fight for the fumble in this years Madden. but this was not why I lost. Basically it was me throwing out the game plan after I got behind. And fantastic secondary play on your part. GG man We will meet again this season and hopefully I'll put up more of a fight.

Edit: Apparently, my mom has chosen today to pick up the rest of her stuff. As soon as she leaves, I'll hop on.

I just lost to the Saints in the most CPU controlled game I have played in a while.

Warrick Dunn out for 5 weeks

I fumbled a couple times, threw some really trash INT the kind that bounce off of 4 or 5 people before being picked off and Matt Shaub basically knew every play I was going to call.

Ah well, it happens.

Had a ridiculously close game with BigAT (Cardinals) today. The game was tied up at 31-31 with under two minutes to go. I had the ball and threw an interception on 3rd and long, immediately putting him in field goal range. He went three and out, but he forced me to use all of my timeouts before he kicked a field goal to take the lead with a minute to go in regulation.

Down 34-31, Jay Cutler hooked up with a wide open Santana Moss to get to midfield. After two more quick passes, the Titans made it to the 31-yard-line, where Josh Brown kicked the game-tying field goal with sixteen seconds to go. After the kickoff, the Cardinals were unable to score before time expired, sending the game into overtime.

The Titans won the overtime toss and chose to receive. On the kickoff, Santana Moss scored his second kickoff return touchdown of the game. Thanks to Moss, the Titans won the game 40-34.

lol, I lost to the CPU. I pretty much gave away the game at the end. Actually, the whole game I was using Ask Madden. Then I threw an INT at the end during a no huddle, when I could've easily spiked the ball and draw up a play or even go for a FG. Whatevs.

I will try my best to play tonight got alot going on in the next two days. Tonight haircut and then a late meeting. then Wednesday I have a Blink-182 concert to go to.
 
Now that we're pretty late in the season I decided to take a gander at the playoff picture:

AFC
The East is all but locked as the Patriots (Soodmeg) already have a five game lead on their closest rival, as well as the #1 spot in the conference.

The North is a tie at the top of computer competitors with the Steelers and Bengals both at 6-5. Neither team holds the head-to-head tiebreaker as they split their series already. Whichever team doesn't have the division currently holds one of the two wildcard spots though.

The Jags (awwjayzin) and Titans (Ivan Hood) are both 7-4 atop the South and again, they split their series already. Whoever misses out on the division is in a solid position to control one of the wild card spots.

The Raiders (seen415) are in control of the West, the only division with all user controlled teams, and has two games of separation from everyone else in securing a first round bye.

The Chargers (JustnCredible29) are just half a game out of a wild card spot, while the Chiefs (pitfallharry219) and Bills (Galego23) are also within striking distance.

NFC
The Cowboys (xX Anthem) have a firm hold over the East at 8-3.

Another CPU duo is tied atop the NFC North, with the Vikings and Packers holding 7-4 records, although the Vikings won both games in the head-to-head matchup.

Carolina (Static) from the South is the only team that has really separated themselves from the rest of the conference, standing at 10-1 with a three game lead on their closest division rival.

The Cardinals (BigAT) are currently atop the West at 8-3, but effectively hold a two game lead over the second place Seahawks (broadway row) after defeating them in both of their matchups this year.

There is going to be a heated race for the second place team and the bye week that comes with it, as well as the wild card spots for the conference. There are currently two 8-3 teams, four 7-4 teams and a 6-5 team that will all be battling it out for those spots as the year winds down.
 
Now that's depressing. I just lost in a shootout against the saints, in almost the same exact way as my Dolphins did last night. Saints had the ball for just under 6 minutes, but kept getting huge plays. LJ was awesome, rushing for 57 and receiving for 132 with 3 total TDs. Flacco was also having a career game, completing his first 15 passes and ended with 347 yards and 4 TDs. However, in true Flacco fashion, trying to get in close enough range for a winning FG, he takes a sack on 3rd down, and throws a pick for a TD as time expires on fourth down. Just can't catch a break with him it seems.
 
I had a really amazing game with Seen in week 12. I was up 17-0 when he made a roaring comeback to tie it up 17-17. Then a couple turnovers later I ended up winning 31-17. Great sportsmanship on his part.

Also def a great writeup BigAT, props for making it mean more to me. Im very excited about the playoffs. Interesting to see what happens and who makes it.
 
Bad news guys...my xbox got knocked off my entertainment center and totally fucked up my madden disc. I'm pretty broke right now so I wont be able to get another copy for a while. Had fun in the league and hopefully I can have a new copy by season 2!
