Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!
Are the two deals mutually exclusive? We've been discussing a trade for Moss for most of the day, so I assume if he was also negotiating with you it means he might have a mind to do both.
He offered me Moss as part of our deal. Guess he decided your deal was better. Probably is.

Ah, I guess so then. I had no idea he was negotiating with you for him. Sorry. :D

Not a problem. This is the NFL after all.
Can we offer just picks for players? I would be willing to mortgage the future for WR/CB help.
I believe you can, but I think we've said that if you start trading picks you're locking yourself into that franchise for year 2 at least (assuming there are even openings next season). Which I think is fair. I originally wanted to switch in year 2, but now that I'm trading picks which affect the future of the franchise in the league, I don't think it'd be appropriate to switch.

I will send you Player / players for your first rd pick ?

To answer an earlier question, I am sticking with this, this is fun.

Who are you willing to send? Like I said, I need WR/CB help.

I get that completely. When I play offline franchises I always use one of the worst teams and try to build them up to respectability. :D

Where on the online franchise page can you view the FA pool? Can't seem to find it on here nor on the franchise user interface for that matter.

I coudn't find it on the website, I don't think you can.

In the franchise itself on XBL you can get to it by going to Player Management and then scrolling through the teams, Free Agents is at the end of the list (or the beginning, lol)
somebody make me a offer for brian orakpo, i need to weigh my options
I actually love Brian Orakpo, getting to watch him every week on the Skins, he's gonna be an awesome player. I'd definitely make an offer, but LOLB is one position I'm pretty much set at with Phillips.
We also want wr help, but are not willing to trade Bradford or Otagwe. Will consider trading Jackson, but only for a KILLER offer than brings us a RB and WR.
PM sent. Looking to deal Antonio Bryant (83 OVR).
Uber: I'd like to know what factors your considering when determining the merits of a proposed trade...
Obviously he'll have to answer for his own factors, but I do know that every trade is subject to league discussion, which is why they're posted in the thread. So anyone can and should post their feelings on trades which are officially submitted (right now that's just the trade between the Redskins and I). It's totally ubernes' decision whether the trade goes through, but the opinion of the league plays a factor for sure.

I don't think people should comment on potential trades by other teams in the thread until they're officially submitted for approval.

I agree also
Masterawesome Im ready for Jimmy Clausen to come home lol
Lol alright well I'm gonna hold off on trading until we go through the whole FA pickup thing so I can see where I need the most help after all is said and done. I'm actually thinking of switching my starting QB from Matt Moore to Jimmy Clausen though since he seems to be superior in THP and THA except for a very slight inferiority in deep throw accuracy. Since Matt Moore is definitely adequate enough though, I would still easily consider trading Jimmy Clausen to you if you're set on getting him instead of Moore.

Plus...Clausen is the future of the Panthers (which I have to consider since we're doing multiple seasons for this franchise). I don't think Moore will progress nearly as much as Clausen even though he's pretty young too. I finished a season of my offline franchise and Clausen actually progressed more than Moore (more than Moore...lol!!) even though he didn't take a single snap all season and Moore won NFL MVP with some pretty insane stats.

Oh snap...plus Clausen is a whole 10 points higher on Kick Accuracy!! I don't get how they figure that stuff out for certain players...
has anyone seen the bears owner?? im tryin to get this game in!
Try PMing him on CAG, that seems to be the best way to get in touch. I sent him a PM this morning and he got back to me pretty quickly.

72 offensive yards, and I was still in the game until the very end.

Thank you, butterfingers AI! 3 costly fumbles by the Ravens early helped put me up/tie the game, as well as a kickoff return by Roscoe Parrish (I consider it payback for the one stolen from him in the Jets game). My one TD was the result of one of the fumbles.

I just felt like I couldn't get anything at all going on Offense. I think the bye got me out of my mini-groove I had been in (can you call a 4 game losing streak a groove?) offensively.

AND...one of the only trade bait players I had, C.J. Spiller, is now out for 6 weeks. No Spiller for anyone anytime soon.

Ouch, my pride. GG Ravens, you were clearly the better team and if I had somehow pulled that one off, you'd have every right to bitch about fumble AI right now.

Ravens 28
Bills 14

The Ravens D held Buffalo to 72 yards total offense and the Ravens offense managed to double the Bills' time of possession (6:39 - 13:21), in large part thanks to Ray Rice's 21 carries for 155 yards and 2 TD's (one coming late in the game to punctuate the clock-burning final drive). Joe Flacco had a decent outing, going 12-17, 160 yds. He did lose two fumbles, with one leading to 7 points for the Bills a play or two afterwards. Still think this game is full of shit but GG Gumbill/Lexxon

I have a trade to put up for review.

The Eagles have agreed to trade quarterback Michael Vick and wide receiver Jason Avant to the Cowboys for linebacker Sean Lee and wide receiver Patrick Crayton.

Discuss, but I think it's pretty even. We discussed in person. Dallas should confirm soon.

I agree to the trade.

Bengals 21, Falcons 38
I feel kind of bad, at least 3 of his starters got knocked out for 3-6 weeks, 1 being Cedric Benson and 2 occurring in the last 2 minutes.

Thankfully Gresham was only out for the game and my starting LT is only one point better than my backup, but I can't believe Benson is out for six fucking weeks.

In other news, Antonio Bryant is no longer on the trading block, as the Bengals just became a pass-first offense.

Patrick Crayton traded to Chargers

http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/news/story?id=5528702

The Dallas Cowboys cut their roster down by two Friday by trading veteran wide receiver Patrick Crayton (75 OVR-4th on WR Depth chart) and backup offensive lineman Pat McQuistan (69 OVR-2nd on RT Depth Chart).

Crayton was traded to the San Diego Chargers for a seventh-round pick in next year's draft. The deal could get upgraded to a sixth-round pick if Crayton catches 40 or more passes in 2010. The Cowboys send offensive lineman Pat McQuistan to Miami for a sixth-round pick.

Please put all overall ratings next to any players in trades!
Official Trade Submission for review:

San Diego gets
WR Santana Moss
Washington's 3rd Round Pick

Washington gets
RB Darren Sproles
San Diego's 2nd Round Pick
San Diego's 6th Round Pick

Both teams have agreed to the trade, so it's up for league/commish review.
I don't think I've seen anyone weigh in on this, but I have no problem with it.
The Eagles have agreed to trade quarterback Michael Vick and wide receiver Jason Avant to the Cowboys for linebacker Sean Lee and wide receiver Patrick Crayton.
Again, no problem with this. Looks like a good trade for both, but it also looks like the Chargers won't get their hands on Crayton now. :)
Redskins get :
Manny Lawson (79 ovr), Brandon Jones (71 ovr) and 3rd round draft Pick

49ers get :
Brian Orakpo (84 ovr)
Would like to see positions as well as the overall rating in these too, but I have no real problem with this either. Seems fair, even if my opinion may be someone is getting the better part of this deal (no saying who!). Also, Redskins, please just confirm that this is the deal agreed upon since I only heard from Cru on this.

In Jets news: I played some ranked games last night with what must be more updated rosters than we're using and I'm sad to see they already gave Conner some respect. He's rated in the 70s now instead of the 60s. And they added Brunell. I'm sure he'd retire from my team at the end of the season, but depth never hurts at QB.

Sproles is 81, Moss is 83.

No problem with the Vick for Crayton trade (nor did I have any interest in following the real-life Chargers in getting him)

I definitely think the 49ers are getting the better end of the last deal by a good amount, but not so much that it should be disallowed. I'd let that through.

And lastly, a Friday night update on Week 7:

Browns vs Saints (Scotts have you heard from DeskLaser at all? I have a feeling he's not coming back)
Rams vs Bucs (you two seem to be in touch, is something scheduled?)
Redskins vs Bears (anything on this?)
Jags vs Chiefs (same)
Raiders vs Broncos (playing Monday night, should be last game of the week)
Vikings vs Packers (heard something about this, but can't seem to find it, assume it's scheduled)
Giants vs Cowboys (haven't heard much, but assume the same)
