49ers over Saints 38 - 16 , Good Game Scott's as always, It was closer than it seems, If it wasn't for a Reggie Bush Fumble on a kick return the game would have been tighter. I also could barely run the ball or contain Drew Bree's. Ted Ginn did run a kick off back in his first game back. Again good game Scott's.

Now it's time to gameplan for next week I guess, I am looking forward to either Big At or Eddie.
 
Shit. I throw two inexplicable picks while I'm frantically mashing buttons trying to figure out why Rivers isn't throwing only to find out my controller is dying.

I need to hunt for batteries man, bear with me.

Dude, I absolutely know 100% how it looks, I swear to god my internet went out. My neighbors had to reset the router, it's back up now. I was being hard on myself because of the controller thing but it was not your fault and I would NEVER deliberately quit during a game, even if I was down 100-0.

If you want to count the game, I would completely understand. If you want to play it again, that is fine, but it's your decision.

Yea I would play again and just spot him his points back. That would be the most fair
 
I tried taking the ball and punting it straight to him but he won't have it.

I'm not contesting it, haha, I was clearly not at the top of my game.

The first time it was my connection for sure, since I lost internet totally, this time I think it was EA.

I guess the only recourse we have is for you to play the CPU?

I feel like crap accepting to play the computer though, but at the same time I can't take another disconnect. AHH.

Doom - Don't feel like crap. You're a great opponent and you had me dead to rights in that game, so no worries. If it makes you feel any better, I'll accept the chance to scrim you later so I can prove to myself tonight was just an off night. After all, I know somewhere in me is the ability to beat you since I did it once. ;)

Alrite well that I will gladly accept. It's been a roller coaster with these disconnects. Looking forward to another rematch. Sorry I sounded a bit heated earlier. I have a bit of alcohol and pizza in me so you know how that goes. Again, my apologies.

To all - A fantastic season, I had a lot of fun. Everyone I played was just awesome, you guys made it very enjoyable. Can't wait for Season Two!

Sure, the easy way out would be to accept that Doom is my daddy and flee far, far away from the AFC West, but I'm a glutton for punishment so I'm sticking with the Chargers (which will remain ironic as they're probably my least favorite team in the NFL not named the Jets). Now, if anyone needs me I'll be at the Draft Combine. :D
 
OMFG I just realized I can't get onto the Franchise website!! That's like my crack! Haha, make sure to invite me back in after Doom makes the Chargers his bitch. Oh, and I will feel much better if you cream them worse than you were creaming me, so don't hold back.

I don't really care how badly you beat them. I don't get too emotional over losing games, especially when it's to a better player. I'll get you next year (but probably not).

You never know man. With injuries the way they are, plus hot and cold streaks, you never really can predict what will happen over the course of a season. I'm just glad I have you in the division to keep me on my toes.
 
Well a very questionable 4th down try cost me the game. Not sure why you thought it was necessary to go for it early in the 2nd half only down by 4 on the 50 yard line, but whatever. Congrats.

I had crossed mid-field, it was 4th and 3 about 3 to go in the 3rd, I didn't know how many more possessions I would have so I had to make that one count and I did. I don't think one play or one possession cost you the game.

I really didn't think a potential net gain of 30 yards would've been worth the drive considering I was down after throwing two picks. I think most NFL coaches, especially in the playoffs make that call. Maybe not with 12 min to go in a real NFL 3rd quarter but probably with 3 or 4 left considering the number of possessions there may be....

Well, considering your defense was holding up just fine, I disagree but again, whatever. It's my fault and my fault only for the loss. I threw the pick to end the half, I threw the 2nd one, which was pretty BS imo, and like mostly everyone, you became very predictable and I didn't take advantage of it. GG.

They were, but for how long? (who knows). It only would've taken one fluke play (the 2nd Wilson pick) to put me down 2 scores.

I was already digging myself out of a hole that shouldn't have existed in the first place (again the 2nd Wilson pick). You don't give up control of the game and the ball in that situation.

Predictable?---I thought that was some of my best playcalling...the hot route fade to A. J. and the deep ball to a wide open Jacoby were two of the best calls I have made all season. I will agree though, that the run game became predictable but we got the job done, after madden spotted you an extra TD

The run game was super predictable. Toss to one side, toss to the next, all outside runs. The passing was obviously less so. I had to switch my defense once I found Andre Johnson at TE and Eric Smith guarding him. Everyone can probably guess what resulted in that play haha. But once I switched Revis to be permanently on AJ*, all I should've done was watch the deep ball and play more man. The 3 passing TDs I got beat on were me foolishly playing zone and because of that keeping Revis off AJ. I had a game plan to keep things in man, but I found myself in zone way too often, and I'm not sure why. Probably because I was looking to replicate those picks.

In the end, maybe I should've went for it on 4th down too once I was down. I think it was when I was down by 3 after your TD. I'm not sure where I was on the field, but I think I recall it being only 3-4 yards to go. And I only think I was given another drive after that, the one that ended in a LT TD.

*-I didn't even know you could do that in online franchise. After that play happened I was cursing and asking out loud what the hell Smith was doing on him and a friend just so happened to be crashing here for the week and he told me I could put Revis on him all game. Not sure it helped this game, but I'll definitely be using that in the future.

edit: scratch that, I just fucking sucked. haha. I'm really trying to play it over and think what I could've done differently and yeah I gave up some big plays I should've tried to contain better, but really I just sucked. Oh well. Let the 16 game trudge begin before the next year of playoffs start!
