Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!

Does someone have a list of those teams that offered to play as a sub? If we can compile that together I could put it in the OP and we could use that throughout the season. Obviously based on availability at the time, some people might have to be skipped.

I had to drop your FS Hill that you got as a draft pick for Berry, not sure why. Should've been an even 2 for 2 add/drop but it told me you're full.

And with that said, I need something to eat and a little break here. I still need to tinker with my depth charts and make sure I don't want anyone who was dropped for me, but with that all said I think everyone else should be set.

Texans, if you want to play I just need 20 mins or so to cool down here and then I'm good to go for the rest of the early evening.

EA doesn't have this streamlined, but it's better than nothing. I still enjoy it, as everyone else should.

Lol I sort of agree with that. Once we get like 5 weeks into the season, instead of trying to make it a random sub, maybe we'll match up records as close as we can.

Not a fan of the Titans running a form of nano blitz. I put up with it for a little bit but I'll admit I outright quit because it's so fucking annoying.

Moving random defensive players into the spot where normally a "nano LB" would be, creating the gaping hole for them to walk right over to Manning. Whether it be his DE, mostly his safety, or whatever else was free to blitz.

Surprisingly the Colts' line picked up on it some (I've read there was an attempted patch for it, as well?) but it's pissed me off enough to shit all over my excitement to get this league going again and generally annoy the fuck out of me in the process.

This is why I don't play ranked online games!

Plus, you threw the pick before you just up and quit when I was running cover 4 zone. Dude, take your own advice and "get over it" and practice using plays that beat the blitz...

Pitfallharry dropped? Vikings/packers games were interesting with him, but with Venom, it'll be a whole new thing. Every time I play Venom, one of us blows the other out.

The draft got fucked up in numerous ways. Good thing it was pausable, or else it would have been much worse.

well this is a matter for the commisioner i am not trying to get in the middle of it, i guess we will know more once he plays more games.

Blitzes are cool with me when they are not of the nano variety and when you're not being a flat out douche moving your players into that nano spot.

We are supposed to be playing this game "realistically", as a real NFL game. I'm not sure if you read the rules before you started playing, but perhaps you should go back and do so.

this is tru, lol thats why me and ramesu and others in the party we were in over xbox live tried to do the best we could to coordinante, but it seems in this case no harm really done because connely was still around and i owed eagles and eagles owed texans.

Let me know... I don't really like being quit on all the sudden when I picked one. I play guys in my other league that destroy my blitzes by using obvious strategies such as passing to the flats and using screens and I mixed my play calls up and didn't rely on any one play... So sorry I party...

Lol... I haven't quit on anyone here, no matter how bad the beating I've taken, I did not quit. So if you plan on using that as your defense in this matter, you might as well come up with something else.

You said you're only running 5 man blitz, yet you fail to mention where you're positioning your blitz players. Well yeah, it's most likely a 5/6 man blitz, but where are you moving your players? Hmm, yeah.. that's what I thought.

I also apparently didn't get the memo that during a Cover 4 scheme you could move your DE to the inside of the center/DT faceoff to force a gap, in turn forcing a throw (or let Manning get demolished). Obviously Manning is a statue in the backfield, so I can't up and roll out (like you seemed to do every pass play where you needed to extend a drive .. roll out, hit Chris Johnson, rinse, repeat)

If this is how we are going to start playing, then I'm just going to leave now so some other guy can take the Colts and deal with this BS twice a year.

huh? Darth? Cardinals are Darth, and he didn't owe anyone a 3rd. He owed someone a 2nd and that was taken care of.

besides that, I guess the swap seems fine. although this will just be another case of the preranking screwing the Eagles over, so I don't know if I feel too bad about the Super Bowl runner up getting screwed once, in the 3rd round. not to be unfair to you, but to also not put the Eagles in an even bigger hole, unless of course they have no use for Connely.

edit: Eagles have 2 Cs rated higher. Enjoy your 70 rated center, Rames! :D
 
I think he meant that Darth was running the draft and made the decision. The chat was moving so fast that I couldn't keep up, but that's just what I gathered from the post above.
 
RE: Titans vs Colts

I don't know if I can properly comment on this because there's no game footage. I do know the Colts went through a whole season here without an issue. So Titans consider this a warning, if someone else as credible complains about your play then I'll just have to boot you. Don't take this personally or get bent out of shape, people play Madden all different ways. I think we found that everyone from Season 1 got along just fine, so I'd like to keep it that way.

What Hyrdo is describing sounds exactly like nano blitzing, which we don't allow in this league. If that's not what you were doing, then no worries. But if it is, you need to take it out of your repertoire.

I move my players around pre-snap, it's the advantage the defense has per the rules. I don't use any glitzes or any plays that can't be stopped. I move players into the box even when I'm not blitzing. The sad part is, most of the Colts bad plays were when I was just showing blitz and not even blitzing.

Have the commish contact me, I'd like to stay in the league but I don't want to fight with people. I'm playing fair and it's not my fault if the colts cant figure out how to pass it to the RB out of the flats or run a screen...

Yes, the defense can be moved around in the game (I do it in online team play) -- but just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should do it. I don't care if you move LBs around or safeties, or whatever ... but moving them to that spot EVERY SINGLE PLAY is very telling of what was going on here.

As was previously stated, we play realistically in this league -- how the NFL would be played, that's how we play. This isn't your buddy's cheesefest Madden league. I'm not calling for your head nor do I want you kicked from the league, I'm just asking that you play the way this league was intended -- and as is specified on the first page of the league thread.

I could go on and on about the way you played (trust me, I'm very long-winded lol) but it's just not how we do things here.

As for your other comments... Yeah, I could've done screens or flats or I could've done splits from a skyscraper while in a Speedo -- the thing is, I shouldn't have to adjust to the form of nano blitzing that was going on.

Just play the way that is expected and you'll have no more problems from me.
 
I Played my Game and I did absolute shit with Tavaris Jackson. I just couldn't sustain a drive, it was pretty ugly. That's probably the worst game I've ever played, even my defense was bad. I ended up losing like 48-3 or something. I definitely need a better Quarterback haha.

I Signed Christopher Warden, Somehow he's a 49 Overall Yet his Throw Power is a 97 and Accuracy is an 86. Then when I go to the other throwing ratings they aren't as good, so how does he qualify for an 87 Accuracy haha. I'm going to try a combination of Rosenfels, Warden and my Draft Pick Dillon Feldt.
