Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!

No way Detroit is going to pick him up, he's such a pain in the ass and we don't need that around here. Word around the area is that Cleveland is going to pick him up.
Detroit would be sick on paper. Stafford throwing to CJ, Pettigrew, Best, and then Moss in there to keep defenses honest? It'd help Detroit open up the ground game for Jahvid Best, who has been nothing short of disappointing (when it comes to running the ball) since his breakout game against the Eagles.
Well said HydroX!

So he can play the Patriots for a second consecutive week and give another "I miss you guys" post-game speech? Comedy gods, PLEASE let that happen. :D

LOL!

Yeah, if he falls to Washington at 15, there's no way the Redskins and Snyder will pass on yet another overpaid/over-the-hill player.

I wish he went back to the Pats so Welker would have some fantasy value, since him being released just screwed my Harvin value. Blah.

I think it's pretty obvious the Patriots are a better offense with Moss, even if he's just a decoy (though I don't think anyone can second-guess the decision to trade him now) so as a Jets fan I can't imagine you really want him back on the Pats.

Not to worry, Sidney Rice will be back by Thanksgiving. He was activated from the PUP list today. Harvin will still be a key guy regardless of who else he has on the field with him -- as long as he has AP opening up those passing lanes, Harvin will always be a key contributor [if Favre can get the ball to his own teammates...]

Had no problem with him in Week 2 or Week 5 when he was on the Vikings. :)

I really don't think he's much better than decoy these days, so yes the passing game will look better, or more Pats-like, with Welker seeing the ball more and doing what he does, but given how the Pats have played without him I don't think him leaving has made them any worse for wear.

The offense has looked pretty sluggish without him, trust me.

As for Week 2, I know the Jets won but I think you're misremembering the play where Moss torched Revis deep for a TD which landed Revis on the injury report for three weeks with a Bruised Ego. :D Cromartie was much more effective against him in the second half though, and I think them trying to force the ball to him in that game is a big reason why they lost.

Shocking none of the 20 teams ahead of them picked him up, that tells you all you need to know about how the league feels about him.
bears owner when would u like to play our game ???
Check your pms..I sent one a couple hours ago. Tomorrow night is my best bet.
Randy Moss is the football equivalent of Allen Iverson...
The only difference is that Randy Moss is still good.

Cowboys & Cardinals set for 7PM CST tomorrow. Looking for my W to keep pace with the 49ers and the-up-and-coming Seahawks or I might be in trouble.

Yep Raiders defense just collapsed in the final seconds. Two dropped INTs that would have sealed it and a lob on the run for the touchdown with 2 seconds to go.

I pretty much screwed myself though so I won't blame the final seconds. Campbell threw 2 picks and fumbled in the first half and those were scoring drives.

Oh well, revenge shall be had when yee travel to Oakland.

Super Bowl hangover appears to be in effect...

and as much as I want to defend my boy AI, I have no argument til he's on sportscenter breaking some euro-bum's ankles lol

Jets go into Pittsburgh and defeat the Steelers at home, 18-14.

What a game. The Madden gods did not want to see a NY win tonight. My team coughed up 2 key fumbles. One from Cotchery after a deep pass, and the other from I believe LT. Both in the middle of successful drives. Luckily, I was able to create my own turnovers through the air as rookie safety Martwon Baldwin had 2 INTs. His last one put an end to a potential game-winning drive by the Steelers. Revis had one himself as well.

No huge stats to speak of, but Sanchez did complete 15 of his 16 pass attempts for 212 yards, 2 TDs and a 158.3 QB rating. GG Zurezo, I really didn't think I was going to be able to come back the way the things were going. Looking back, that 2pt conversion could have been the death of me and changed the last 2 minutes of the game dramatically. If I missed, you could've just gotten into FG range (which you did) and booted it in for the W. If I didn't go for it, you could've done the same for OT. Instead I found myself down by 5 at that point, so I went for the 2 to get within 3 and that 4 point lead was what won me the game.

now i just need to win the rematch...

Hey bv, got home a hell of a lot later than expected, so no game tonight obviously. Again, 4-5:00 or so tomorrow, occasionally a little later if I get really tied up at work. If that's not good for you I'm fine for a few hours after that as well until I get over-tired from being up so late tonight. *cough*

No worries. I should get off work at 5 or 6, though I've been so swamped lately there's no telling if I'll have to stay late. I'm hopeful we can get it in early this evening though.

Just finished up a crazy one with Scotts. He was down a TD with a minute left and no timeouts. Saints drove down the field decently and then this absurdity happened:

http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/46773303

If you can't tell what happens, my CB swats down the ball, then two different Saints receivers bobble the ball several times, at which point Pierre Thomas (an HB) comes out of nowhere and makes a diving catch for the game-tying touchdown with 11 seconds left.

I called a fair catch on the kickoff and went for basically a hail mary from my own 20. My rookie wide receiver somehow found a seam in the coverage and took off for an 80 yard touchdown basically as time expired for the win.

I'm glad the ridiculousness spread to both sides of the ball. When I fumbled on the punt return, I was honestly pounding the fair catch button well before I caught it and it didn't register at all. And it was great to see my safeties just **** the bed on the final play.

Hmm.. Could that be an issue with the new patch? During the Colts/Jags game Madden didn't register Hydro pounding the timeout button as time expired even though he had all 3.

I don't think it's the new patch...I remember Matt Young (I think?) talking about two different cases where he tried to fair catch punts and it wouldn't work and he ended up fumbling it. Also...in one of my games vs. the Bucs last season, I had a similar case where calling a timeout didn't work for me and I ended up losing the game when I had the ball with 6 seconds left on the opposing 20 yard line with 1 timeout left. I pounded the timeout button the whole time and it didn't register.

On a side note...can everyone please hurry up with their games...this bye week is killing me!

if you wait to long to call fair catch, sometimes it won't register... and the thing with the timeouts, I know it had something to do with the way they sped up the games in general. apparently, six seconds our less was deemed pointless by the developers so the clock just runs out...especially when its right after a play

Damn, that's pretty stupid. Especially right at the end of a half when you're trying to kick a FG.
Hi guys,

I play the jags this week should I just play the CPU?
Yeah, sure. Let's just try to move this along. I pmed you and Venom about it (he also plays the CPU).

I thought we had a new Jags owner? If not, I can fill in again, it's not a problem.

We advanced yesterday, I don't see why we're in a big hurry, we don't look like we're at any risk yet of missing the deadline.

We do have a new Jags owner, I just messaged him again to see when he'll be joining.

All the teams are filled now. We're just waiting for the Lions to return.
