Vikings improve to 2-2 on the Season with W over Detroit. I figured since it was against the CPU I would start my backup QB Dillion Feldt. It was close moat of the 2nd and 3rd Q but then towards the 4th I pulled away.

Feldt: 14 Comp - 261 Yards - 4 TD - 1 INT

I play Kracka McKracka next week LOL nice tag man. Made me laugh, what time can you play?

I had some opportunities, and a very good opening drive, but I had a ton of bad throws (mostly my fault...I think), D wasn't stopping anything, and I just stopped scoring. GG bv, I think you'll bounce back nicely as the season goes on.
 
San Diego Chargers 33, Buffalo Bills 7

The Chargers have their mojo back, recovering from their tough 0-2 division start with their second consecutive win, this time putting a hurting on the division-leading Bills at home.

The Bills got the ball to start the game and looked to continue their winning ways, marching down the field on the opening drive to punch it in for six on a Lee Evans touchdown. After holding the high-flying Chargers to 3 on their own opening drive, the Bills were riding high, unfortunately it would be all downhill after finishing the first quarter with a 7-3 lead.

The Bills were forced to punt on their next drive and the Chargers marched down the field and punched it in on an 8-yard pass from Rivers to Jackson. Another Kaeding field goal rounded out the half to give the Chargers a close 13-7 halftime lead.

Taking the ball to start the 2nd half the Chargers potent passing attack went back to work, finishing with Rivers finding Jackson again for a 32 yard TD. After missing the 2-point conversion the score was 19-7. Buffalo's next drive ended in an errant throw by Robinson which was picked by Cason. Rivers responded with another drive, and it what seemed like deja vu found VJax AGAIN, this time on a 3rd-and-2 slant route which Jackson took to the house for a 42 yard score. The game was sealed on the next Bills drive when Cason picked another ball which he took to the house to put the Chargers up 33-7.

There wasn't much offense in the 4th quarter as the Chargers attempted to kill the clock and Robinson through another pick, this one at the goal line to Weddle.

gg Lexxon. I was worried after you so methodically picked me apart on the first drive, but my D really responded and played probably the best game they've played in 2 seasons. They were spot on in coverage and for the most part tackled well, 2 significant aberrations for this D.

Rivers seems to have shaken off his early-season pick woes, putting up a perfect QB rating going 16-20 for 297 yards and 3 scores. The Chargers receiving corps seems to feature a different star every week, and this week most of the damage was obviously done by Jackson who caught 6 balls for 163 yards and 3 scores. Two of his catches were absolute gems, one in the back of the endzone which he dragged both feet (I'm surprised you didn't challenge that btw) and another on a long streak down the sideline which set up his first score.

Definitely feel better about the way I've played these last two games. I seem to do this every season, start slow and then pick it up. It's almost as if I'm playing as the.. Chargers. :D

Thanks. It was a fun game for sure. Playing the Chargers is always gonna be a track meet, the passing attack is just too deadly to fall behind by much. The Raiders and Chiefs discovered the key is to build up a quick lead and force Rivers (aka me) into mistakes, because if he gets on a roll it's tough to stop him.
 
From the "who do you cover?" files: After VJax's big game the Chargers currently have three different players on pace for over 1000 yards and 10 TDs: Jackson, Gates, and Floyd; with another, Moss, not far off the pace. If Rivers can continue to spread it around to those guys, and fewer to guys wearing the other uniform, this passing attack is tough to stop.

Great game, overall. The 2-3 Vick roll out runs you did freaking killed me and I still can't believe you made that last FG. Making a comeback like would have been great but, maybe next time.
It's pretty shitty getting another loss but, I'm still kinda playing catch-up. Four of my next 5 games is against winning teams and Pitt being the first one.
 
Why did Venom get to play the CPU Lions? No one would play as a replacement?

Not sure what's going on with Packers/Falcons. He said he'd be available today from 5-9 P.M. Eastern time. I last sent him a PM about 3 and a half hours ago, and haven't heard back. I checked Xbox.com several times and even signed on to the Xbox once when I was linking my Rock Band account, but he hasn't been on since 2 days ago. It's almost 8:30 Eastern right now, and he said he won't be available tomorrow or until late afternoon Saturday. I see he's been logged in to the forums, so maybe he'll see this.

I missed a 51, but hit a 55-go figure. You have a great qb, you need to roll out with him more often. He has Vick like speed. I have some good plays in run and gun if you ever want me to show you. GG

Rollouts do happen quite a bit in the league. I was also no huddled in my game against the Chiefs so he can count on me using that in the rematch.
 
This Madden season has been terrible for me. I had the draft page malfunction, then had games drop, and now for the first time ever (it worked 2 days ago) I am getting a dirty disc error. Sometimes it's at the title screen; other times, when gbpackers and I both readied up, it'd pop up. Pics of the message and of my disc coming in a minute... I keep my camera nearby now since I've had so many problems with Madden, and only Madden.

Good Game TheKidFgy , it was closer than the score gives off, the last 14 points were irrelevant. Your rushing game is nice i usually don't give up alot of rush yards, I hope this wasn't a new trend for my team, because this will be a long 6 weeks without Brian Orakpo.

Uh... what? I had to play Darth and I lost to the Lions, so your logic does not work. That was why I was upset at Venom's free pass, especially since I lost to him after he and I had to restart our 35-34 game that dropped. I'd be at least 3-1 now and in first place in the division if I hadn't had to play Darth's Lions, instead of being 2-2. and in 2nd place on the tiebreaker. So, the only fair thing to do (going by your reasoning for venom playing the CPU), would be for me to get to play either the CPU Lions or Vikings when I meet 1 of those teams later this season.

Good game, gbpackers. I couldn't believe that second pick you got, nor a few of the big throws you completed. Then I got the 2 point conversion to put me up 7, and I had to stop your touchdown pass attempts, the last one with 1 second remaining. Great game.
 
Crap, I guess I was thinking of the Jags, which is why I was going to have whoever was playing them this week play the CPU as well. Maybe what we'll do is have Darth play venom Lions vs Vikings in a scrim. If the Vikings lose then we'll take your idea of giving the Packers a CPU W vs the Lions or Vikings.
 
i dont really care, if someone wants to play as the jags i'm up to the challenge. i hate playing the cpu.

I'll have him check in. Maybe since there's already been one CPU game this week we should just let these two go that way too.. If not, someone else will have to step in for the Jags if they can't join today, my mom's coming into town this weekend and I need to pick her up from the airport this evening..

That will also affect our Week 5 game btw, can we schedule it tentatively for Tuesday night?

Tuesday should work, although that will likely be the absolute last day of Week 5.
 
to the Chiefs owner I'm busy all day Saturday and Sunday will be out of town at the Packer game, so monday before or after my work (work 2-930pm cst)
 
Bengals owner is going to a concert tonight. If we really want to advance tonight I think the best solution would be to just sim that game and then ubernes can play as the Jags..

And ubernes - That's fine Tuesday's the last day, I can definitely do it then. It's possible I can find some time while she's here to get it in, I just don't want to commit to anything sooner.
 
So Bengals/Broncos is being simmed, Colts/Titans is being simmed, Eagles/Redskins are being played this afternoon. All we're waiting on is Bucs vs Jags.

I just told him to play the CPU. I really can't/shouldn't dedicate an hour today to a sub game. If someone is around then anyone is welcome to step up, but I'd rather him just play the CPU if no one is around so we can move on.
