Possibly. It was more draining to put together than I expected it to be, as I had the issue of actually caring about trying to place people appropriately. I ended up going back and forth with myself on the rankings more than I likely needed to.

Exactly the same thing I found when I tried to do it last year. It's more trouble than it's worth IMO.

Tuesday would be better for me because I work till 12 Est tonight and Tuesday I can play you as soon as your availible. If the league isn't advancing till Tuesday night we should be fine to get in the game.
 
I just now saw the PM about free agents. I will be able to get on in a couple hours to choose, since I have the first pick out of this group.

As for Packers vs. Chiefs, I saw a moment ago that I got an XBL message from Sprice after I sent him a PM and posted in here that I was his opponent:

You're playing me next so hopefully it gets sorted out and you don't need a replacement. Any night this week is free for me, but my weekend is pretty booked - I have all-day plans Saturday and Sunday is my girlfriend's birthday.

My problem is that I don't know what's wrong with the game. Before, there were no on screen explanations for the crashes. Now, I get a dirty disc error. All my game discs are pretty much flawless, including this one. I guess I'll see what happens tonight.

As of right now, I'm pretty much free to schedule a game any day this week except for Tuesday night, and Friday/Saturday is booked for me as well, not that that matters given the fact that you have plans.

Your game permitting let's shoot for Wednesday or Thursday evening then since that seems to work for both of us.
 
Each time I've had problems with the dirty disc error, I've gotten the game to work that same night. I just really don' know why it happens, and there's no pattern.

Any preference between Wednesday and Thursday? None here, but I'd like to schedule something since I will be having to set up some stuff for the NBA 2K league.

I apologize in advance if you've already brought this up in the MB but, have you tried it on different consoles?
 
Played a good game with Sprice. It was a good game, but I cost myself several times. Twice, I allowed him to score when I switched players, trying to go for the sack, and it caused me to switch to a defensive back and I lost the receiver. Then I cost myself a couple TDs when I used the right stick after a catch, slowing my player (scored on that drive) but I also cost myself a kickoff return TD with the same problems.

The game was 10-7 and then 21-14, but a 22 point Chiefs 3rd quarter blew it wide open. The only real complaint I have is the repeated use of the no-huddle offense on 2 scoring drives while in the lead, but oh well.

Uber did you see the post from that guy trying to take over the Titans? I think it was a page or two back...I noticed they still aren't taken according to the website, so I was wondering what happened with that guy.

Not even a joke. If the vote was held right now, I'd give mine to Vick. No quarterback in the NFL has been even a fraction as good as he has been when he's been in there, not Brady, not Manning.

Rivers is on his way to break Marino records throwing to a bunch of nobodies. No Jackson, no Floyd, now no Gates. And the missing 5 full games works both ways too. Would Vick throw 8 picks during that time? Maybe not, probably not, but what Rivers is doing this season is legit.

the Ravens have agreed to send Ed Reed, Dominique Foxworth, and a second round pick to the Buffalo Bills for Leodis McKelvin, and their third and fourth round pick.

Coach Harbaugh on the trade: We had a hard time parting ways with Ed but or search for a true # 1 cb is over. We wish Ed Reed the best of luck in Buffalo and we thank him for all he's done for this organization
 
So you're trading Ed Reed (97) and a 84 overall corner for an 87 overall corner? Plus you're giving up a 2nd round pick and getting 2 lower picks back?

If I didn't think the Ravens were the driving force behind this trade I would say no bigtime. As it is, I'm unsure.
 
I didn't want to part with McKelvin, but Deuce drives a very hard bargain. He knows what he wants, I must say.

Bills confirm.

EDIT: Also, trade is pending my game with the Titans, playing now. In case McKelvin gets hurt, etc etc...
 
Reed is a 34 year old safety that Deuce doesn't even use. His rating hardly matters here. Foxworth is 29.

I would definitely say it's fair. You'd have to give up a boatload to get McKelvin and I don't think it even favors the Bills all that much in the end.

Not using him is a choice. I assume the Bills will use him, so his rating does matter. We used the same rationale for making the Rams and Redskins rework their trade even though the Redskins didn't use Cooley, so I think we should apply a consistent standard. Foxworth is two years older than McKelvin. Setting aside the picks, the price for an upgrade from Foxworth to McKelvin (a 3 point and 2 year bump) is Ed Reed?

If you think that's fair then put it through, but please don't act like I'm being ridiculous for wanting to discuss it.

I see age 32 in-game...is that bugged? He's 32 IRL now, but his birthday is in Sept. so I never quite know how Madden does these things...
 
i completely understand your POV... and i felt at first that me giving up a 2nd in the midst of all that was overkill but the original deal i proposed was Reed and the 2nd for McKelvin...

he would need another CB so thats where foxworth comes from. I had already traded away my 1st and 3rd rd pick so getting a 3rd and 4th back helps me cuz all i really need in the draft is an OL...

the big motivation for the deal was McKelvin's speed and Man Coverage... Foxworth being my #1 cb worked in the past but my defense has changed a lil bit and he's more of a liability at that spot than he is any help. I will now be able to leave McKelvin on an island with those top WRs that have been carving my secondary up and play on my rookie FS and cover the other half of the field as i like to do...

it isnt 100% balanced, but it's balanced enough that both sides are content with what they're getting and giving.

The 1st rounder counts towards it though I believe. 90+ players count as 2 core players, 80+ counts as 1, and a 1st round pick is another one, so that's 4 total..

guess i'll have to wait to hear from Ube cuz i didnt know a 1st counts as a core player... that doesnt really make much sense to me but if thats what it is, rules are rules. I dont think it's fair to the true core players tho that Domonique Foxworth is mentioned in the same sentence lol
 
Well in regards to the core players thing...the Rams traded 2 90+ players earlier and I just recently traded my 2nd 90+ player so I think we are saying 4 core players is allowed this season.

In regards to the trade...it's tough to make a call on this one. I have the same concerns as BV, but the way I see it...the Ravens aren't losing much in the trade since they aren't even using Ed Reed, but the Bills are gaining a LOT in the trade. So I don't really know how you would make the call on this one. McKelvin and Foxworth are both 93 speed so speed isn't even a factor...the only major upside is McKelvin's 9 point superiority in man coverage, which will probably help out a good bit...although I'm not sure I would say that 9-point difference in man coverage is enough to want to go through with the trade.

And in regards to the draft picks...I find a 2nd round draft pick to be a lot more valuable than a 3rd + 4th. I think once you get to the 3rd/4th round of the rookie draft, chances are that the player you pick up isn't going to be good enough for you to start on your team. In the 1st and 2nd round, you can easily find a player with a high enough caliber to be starting on your team. So in MY opinion at least...from the 3rd round onward, you're really only looking for depth at whatever position you draft. Those players aren't really going to be high-impact players, at least not until they progress over the course of a season or two.

Still, despite my concerns...I give my support for the trade.

And regarding the age difference (34 or 32), I think the website adds a year or two to what a player's age really is (in most cases). Then there are the rookies who are just completely f'ed up in regards to age...
 
that 9 point difference in man coverage is the difference between Andre Johnson putting the Texans in field goal range and my D holding up to send the game into OT... or Mike Wallace running damn near alone down the sideline to catch a pass that would be at the very least, knocked down if it had been McKelvin covering him instad of Foxworth...

as far as the draft, i'm happy with my team as it is. McKelvin was the missing piece for me so now i dont really need any picks this draft but i figure i can find a 65-70 rated OL in the early 3rd round. the fourth rounders will most likely be LBs or DLs to fill out the roster.
 
We're on year 2 of the Franchise, so I think Ed Reed should be 33 in game right now, though I'm not really sure how Madden calculates that.
 
Actually Buffalo has some pretty solid safeties (Byrd and Whitner) so I think that makes it a little more balanced since they aren't overwhelmingly benefited as I originally thought. I definitely support the trade.
