Got texted by BB gamerzone:

GAMER Alert: Get the Official Madden NFL 11 Strategy Guide for $7.99. Valid Tues. 8/10 Only. Show SKU 1207293 to cashier.

It also says you can forward to a friend.

Not getting it myself, but I did a quick search and it hadn't been posted. Happy hunting!
Does this teach you how to play football and make millions? That would actually be useful info.
Lol :applause:

I was thinking the same thing...who in the hell would buy a startegy guide for Madden, let alone the game itself? (I mean besides rosters...how much more can you improve in a game each year that's been using the same techniques since PS1?)

*sigh* I guess Madden is just one plague that will continue to plague gaming consoles.

The stupid thing is...it'll sell for $60+ and within a year it's $0.50 at Gamestop TIV
is there any way to get this text sent to me from bestbuy directly?
text GAMER to 332211 (all caps) and you should get new texts, but I don't know if you'll get this one.

I got the strat guide last year. It was helpful only to give the stregnths and weaknesses for each team. They highlighted the best plays to use for each team in certain situations, certain personel moves you should make, like who to bench and who to start.

It would be helpful if you are planning to really get into Madden 11 hardcore. But if not, I wouldn't get it.

Gamestop TIV really doesn't seem like a just argument against a game. I argue that Madden is a great thing for consoles because it allows EA to make money and the industry needs to make MORE money. Their practices of in game real money purchases is something I don't support, but if EA makes a killing on Madden and can in turn make other games then I give them the thumbs up.

Here's an easy solution. Text YOURSELF the following message:

"Get the Official Madden NFL 11 Strategy Guide for $7.99. Valid Tues. 8/10 Only. Show SKU 1207293 to cashier."

Then show that message to the cashier. They're not going to check who the text was from... in all likelihood, they'll just look at it, punch in the SKU, and won't have a second thought when the computer adjusts the price.

Ill be picking up last years Madden in 2 days.. found its much cheaper getting EAs sports lineup if you are one year behind the times..

What's the point of playing a sports game if you don't have updated rosters? That's what I don't get, I could never wait a year to get old players (no rookies, etc.) I just wait about a week for the game to be like $45 on eBay, that's cheap enough for me
