Patriots 37 - Bills 15
The Pats rebound nicely from their opening day flop against the Dolphins with a very strong showing against the Bills, both on offense and defense.
I was a bit worried after Brady was sacked twice on the first series, but I changed up my playcalling after that to deal with the aggressive blitz. The only boneheaded play I made was trying to sneak in a PA pass later in the game, which naturally resulted in a strip sack TD and (in the scariest 30 seconds of my life) Brady writhing on the ground. Fortunately it was only cramps, though Brian Hoyer did come in and throw a TD on a screen (which I'd been sitting on all game, knowing I'd want to use it against the aggressive blitz once).
Brady was 11 of 14 for 156 yards and a TD. The only flub was his fumble, but that was 100% on me, he never had a chance. Brian Hoyer was 2 of 2 for 90 yards and a TD in relief.
Fitzpatrick was 11 of 23 for 130 yards, 1 TD (in garbage time) and 4 picks (3 of them by Asante Samuel, which was more than he had all last season for me).
Cobie Ross played well in his first game replacing AP, carrying 19 times for 89 yards and a score, and showing some good escapability. He also caught the screen which he took 66 yards for a TD, making several guys miss in the process. Law Firm carried 4 times for 13 yards, including a goal line score (though Ross got one later).
Jackson carried 13 times for 54 yards, and wasn't much of a factor.
Gronk was the leading receiver for the Pats (what else is new?), catching 5 balls for 81 yards. New Patriot Roddy White caught 3 balls for 41 yards and a TD on a nice diving catch on a goal line slant. He was only targeted 3 times though, so he caught every ball I threw his way.
David Nelson was the leading receiver for the Bills with 60 yards, though Stevie Johnson caught the TD.

gg Zero! These rain games always

with your gameplan, I guess I've gotten used to them after having so many last season. I definitely think you're going to be more competitive in this division than the score showed.
And man, am I happy I got returns on the AP trade right away. I'll admit I was nervous heading into the game with Ross, but he performed very well considering I'm still figuring out what he can do. And White is going to be a beast once I work him into the offense more (he's still learning the playbook). Super pleased not to head into the Week 3 bye 0-2, that would have been a long one.
