I'll see if I can get Charles on that list. Trying to become a better passer though.

@ BigAT- Mog owns the Bears still. He had to be booted for a sub game
What's the deal with the Bears, they're not assigned to anyone?
bigat when can you play

anyone that has shown interest in Jones-Drew please pm me again be ready to give up some defense and defense only

GG mog. I thought I blew it after throwing that TAINT to Urlacher, thankfully Bradshaw had a huge 79 TD run to bust the game back open.

yea heck of a game bigat....i was on the edge of my seat the whole time lol

Jets unsurprisingly lose to the Chiefs, 34-17.

I put myself in a bad spot from the start. I came out throwing, as I said I would, so being so predictable isn't really a good strategy. Unless you run it to the outside with Charles, then it's a 10 yard gain guaranteed ;) Threw a pick on a forced pass first play, 7-0 real quick. Then next drive my guy fumbles a catch and it was all down hill from there. I actually liked what Sanchez was doing despite the 4 INTs. If I came out a bit more balanced maybe I would have a chance.

Doom, I assume you're a nice dude but the game felt way too much like a ranked match to me. The 4th and goal call and then just the repeat runs to the outside + screen passes. I know you only threw 4 screens, but when you only throw 8 passes that's a lot haha. Just my two cents.

Kilgo showed up again and made things semi-interesting, if you can even call it that, with a long TD catch. He had 162 yards on the day. GG Doom, though despite it being a little more closely contested maybe my least favorite of your beatings.

Of course I lose Cromartie for essentially the season. Good thing I drafted a rookie CB, right? Cro is gone for 11 weeks due to a broken collarbone. Not worth it!

4th and inches from the 1 inch yard line? I don't think that should be an automatic field goal. I wanted to try and put the game away.

Sanchez was slinging it and when you play that way leads are never comfortable.

gg though uber, the screens are a legit callout. I just recently started using them with Charles so I wanted to see how well they would block against the Jets. Still trying to get my passing game going though I didn't really want to test anything with Cromartie and Revis out there.

I still stand by my initial reaction that it was weak. Especially considering I was out on special teams, but that's partly on me. The FG would still put you up 17 points, 3 scores. And slinging it with 4 INTs, mind you*. It's not like he was Peyton Manning out there.

*and no TDs at that point. only had a FG. so not like this was a shootout.

He evolved into Manning in the 4th. That rookie receiver is talented.

Point taken though, but I've seen coaches go for it on 4th and inches even up in a game to try and take the opponent out of the game early. And no it wasn't just Belichick.

Had it been 4th and 2 or 3 I would have kicked.

This brings up a question I have. Is it valid to go go for it on 4th down from around your 35? Punting for 15 yards seems pointless and some kickers can't kick 53 yard field goals.

If it was more closely contested, or if I had at least put a TD on the board at that point, I would absolutely agree with you. And, even if I don't agree with this particular situation, I'm sure you know it wasn't some egregious foul. It just rubbed me the wrong way considering where the game was at the time and how it was likely to unfold the rest of the way.

I think you mean your opponents 35, but I went for it in that exact situation this game. Folk can't hit 50+ yarders, especially not in 10+ mph wind. I was also already down by at least 10 by that point too. I think there's always been the unwritten rule that if you're out of FG range, but the punt will yield you little then it's okay. But as always, be prepared to defend your decision.

Dan Carpenter Missed a 43 Yarder with the wind behind him against the Eagles today. Made me Very Very Sad.

the issue i had with it was there was less than 2 mins left in the game, ur up by a FG, and it's 4th and 8. Had i been moving the ball with ease, i would understand but i had struggled all game to do anything offensively so in that situation, i believed punting and leaving your defense to do their job was the right call... the earlier 4th and whatever when u were on my 38 was a bit more understandable seeing as how u needed less than 5 yards but maybe i'm just too basic in my reasoning.

at any rate, i somehow managed to get down the field (with Jimmy Clausen throwing the ball thanks to Cam gettin banged up) and get a tying FG... then proceeded to lose the game cuz apparently, a 180 lb defensive back is enough of a man to blast a 6'5, 255 lbs TE off his feet and force a questionable fumble... even tho from the moment he caught the ball, i was holding RB with every ounce of strength i had in my index finger.... it was a GG tho... looking forward to the rematch in Carolina

I was mainly asking about the 1st one.
I think Tanabeo controls it so he has to login and advance it.
Just updated it.

My kicker is terrible and I dont trust the kicking system with the lag, so I dont see any problem going for it.

Whats the trick to getting a pick my cpu misses 5-6 a game that hit them right in the hands but other peoples cpus will pick me off running backwards jumping 6 feet in the air and with 1 hand.
Take control of them right before and hit y.
That is easier said than done for most people. ;)

I tend to not mess with my DBs if I can avoid it. More often than not if I go for a user pick, it ends up burning me. Some people can do it well, but I tend to have more luck if I just let them handle themselves.

I feel you Tanabeo, I don't get many picks either, though my D tends to be pretty decent anyway.

Same on all accounts.

I like to go for the big play user pick 99% of the time. I can live with missing the ball and messing up because thats on me, but when the computer messes up I feel like I bitched out. haha

Also, been trying to contact Rams since last night, so I will try here too. I am free most of the day tomorrow, from about 1pm est till whenever.

Kind of hold down Y. As if Y is the ball and as your reciever goes to catch it, press Y with the same motion as catching the ball, and hold it.

Lol that sounded wierd but thats what it feels like to me, and I've been getting a lot more user picks lately.
Thread is dead today....
Mondays...

Sorry I don't have a blockbuster to get everyone yelling. ;)

PS, anyone want to do me a huge favor and quote all the deals I don't have in the OP yet so I can add them?

I'm probably done trading for the year. I don't really see what further tweaks I could make at this point. Only thing I might do is go out and try to acquire more picks if I fall out of contention for some reason.

The only place I could get better is my O-Line and if I could nab a high end CB. Other than that, not much left to do. When I joined I never thought I'd be able to do anything with the Seahawks...

Announcing the first ever league 3-way trade (I think)
:

Falcons Get
:

CB- Tracey Porter- 89, 26, A
WR- Andre Roberts- ~77, 24, B
DT- David Carter- 71, 24, B

Cardinals Get:
HB Adrian Peterson - 97, 27, A
CB- Kelvin Hayden- 83, 29, B
Falcons 6th round pick
Patriots 6th round pick

Patriots Get:
WR- Roddy White- 96, 31, A
Cardinals 2nd Round Pick
You're welcome ;).

And something I forgot to bring up about our trade:
David Carter ended up being a 65 and Roberts a 75 on the depth chart, so do I really have to give up my 6th? I already thought I didn't need to, but now that Carter is 65 I feel even less like I should give up a 6th.

I don't think we should be changing the trade now, especially over something as trivial as a 6th round pick. So yes, you still need to give it up.

Assuming we definitively are saying that the Depth Chart value is correct, I think from now on we need to have a policy of always including those values in any trade discussions.

Halo 2, my favorite console shooter of all time.

I built a PC in April and now I'm hooked. Only console games that keep me around are Madden, 2K, and Call of Duty. (As well as other console exclusives)

Also all the amigos play on Live so if I want to play with them, I have to keep the 360 around anyway.

If only they weren't so narrow minded.

Me too :)

As far as PC Gaming goes, I've switched to an iPad at home and have a work laptop at home if I ever need it. I just haven't had the need to build a PC in years so that is probably why I got out of it.

If I ever buy another computer it will be a Mac or Linux box. I'm so tired of Windows, we're implementing more and more Linux stuff but the majority of my work still involves some Windows variant.

I have to use Macs at school :puke: Come to think of it, that's all they sell at my school.

Yeah getting back into it costs quite a bit up front, but I think it's worth it. I've really gotten my money's worth thanks to the Steam sales.

Huzzah steam sales!

With ToR coming out in ~20 odd days....pc gaming will still (and has been since i was 8...) the way to go for me.... Now Granted, i own like 150 xbox titles...but i spend 4-6 hours a night.every night..on my PC playing something or another.
