Don't worry, it's definitely not league policy. I'd definitely like to advance early, but I won't without hearing from those guys.

The servers are down at the moment, so I can't check whether that game has been played (I'm assuming not). I have a flag football game this morning, following which I'll check again. After that I'll be at a bar watching the Pats from 1-4, so no advancing then.

I'll plan to advance around 5:30PM EST, whether that game has been played or not, so go ahead and make your plans.

Jets def. Raiders, 17-0.

A very different game than the one I saw on television. Jason Campbell was held to a perfect 0 passer rating. I believe his completions (2) matched his INTs. The focus was the running game. And McFadden looked good in stretches, just not enough to put one in today.

GG Doom - Saints over Texans 31-10

Two concerns moving forward regarding gameplay:

1. Shifting D-Lines up until the snap of the ball - it seems like that give the D some sort of an advantage on run-plays.

2. Running backwards on toss/stretch plays to the outside - there really isn't any way that anyone can defend that if the RB is fast enough....

Neither of these are the reasons I lost the game and I don't have a problem if nothing is done, but I figured I'd bring it up since there doesn't seem to be an effective counter, in-game for these. I leave it to the commish/co-commish to weigh in.

I hear you on your concerns, though I'm not sure what you mean by number 2.

I only made one linebacker shift and one line shift before the snap of the ball. It wasn't constant like what the cheesers do online.

I am completely free tomorrow as well and will be free for the rest of the night too if you want to get it in (I'll be up until probably around 4 a.m. EST). I have a game scheduled in another league for 5 p.m. EST tomorrow so that's my only prior commitment.

I'm definitely for banning #1, especially with LB shifts as well. I'm not saying people should never be allowed to shift. There will be times when it happens incidentally, obviously. But when you're doing it constantly even though the offense isn't changing formations, it's pretty clear that you know what you're doing.
 
I'm not sure what the issue is with #1, can someone explain it to me? I definitely have seen the D-line and LBs shifted as part of valid defensive strategies (trying to set the edge vs. the run, etc). As long as that's what we're talking about, I think it's fine. If there's some sort of exploit, than that's not okay. Knowing Doom as I do, I highly doubt the latter is the case.
 
If you constantly shift back and forth before a play, when the ball is snapped and the timing is perfect, the defense will completely manhandle the offensive line and just blast right through them with a superhuman speed boost. Happens a lot online.

Only remedy against it is to pull back into shotgun.
 
Ah. Well I think I agree with BigAT that it shouldn't be allowed.

I've also heard from a couple players about people QB-sneaking up the field. I know we already discussed this, but as a reminder: Don't do that. If you see someone doing it, let us know.

I have a question about the QB sneak thing are we ok to run it like on 3 and 1 and in goal line or can we not run it at all, and i run with my QB a lot if i see nothing open down feild is that alright just want to make sure before my next game.

Also can we do like a Sup. Draft so i can pick up like a 60 something HB and burn my first draft pick next year.

The only time you can call the actual qb sneak play is in a goal line situation. 3rd and 1 from say the middle of the field, run something else. You can scramble whenever you want, so long as it's not the qb sneak play. That play is so beyond broken.

Is Josh Freeman on the block then?

Ok I got it now, and as for Josh Freeman I have been subing him in some of the stuff i run so i will hang on to him now till he makes me mad.

We got our game in anyway, and fortune seemed to be on my side. I capitalized on 3 turnovers and won the division game. Good game, Mog.

It wasn't that bad for me until the second half then it started getting choppy, but I've seen a lot worse. That was the first time I've seen a disconnected from franchise server, I'm not sure what I did offensively stat wise but the W came at the price of Von Miller breaking his ribs and Dawkins out for the season with a broken collarbone.
 
GG earlier this afternoon Pacer. My run game was gashing holes in your defense, I didn't even need Eli to do anything. Nearly 200 yards for Bradshaw, another 50 for B-Jac.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but since you were the one who got the disconnect message, and you sent the invite to play the game (which I'm pretty sure means you hosted), it was most likely your connection. I wasn't too thrilled about it because on top of your pass rush, it made running play action near impossible, as the screen would freeze up on the handoff fake, and then by the time I could control my QB, your guys were all over me. Considering Hasselbeck's lack of accuracy, being able to use play action is kinda critical. It sucks, but I guess that's the way it goes. No offense, but with a connection like that, I hope I don't play you again.
 
My connection usually isn't like that, you could pretty much ask anyone and they'll vouch for that. I play Fero in games all the time and our games are always good. Guess it was just being over worked or something. Anyways good game.
