Considering that Charles already has a season's worth of rushing stats through 4 games, I have absolutely no delusions about stopping him.
The only "logical" thing I could think of would be to cheat the run the entire game and just make him beat you with Cassel. Easier said than done, I know. It's just ridiculous that he's pulling 200 yards a game with Charles. I know Ramses brought up the "running backward with a speedy RB to get to the outside" thing, which I've seen people do online and the only problem I can see with it is that the AI players take the shittiest routes to cut the player off and ALWAYS get beaten to the corner. Basically, if you don't switch to a nearby player and cut off the angle yourself, he's gone, because the AI gets fooled every time.
The problem is, there are so many little things in this game that are programmed wrong, you can't just tell people to stop doing everything. I hate that there are so many flaws in the programming that give unfair advantages. For example, once again, receivers NEVER go for the ball. Even in one on one coverage, they have no problem letting a DB just slide in front and take the ball away. This is one of the biggest reasons the passing game sucks so bad (along with LBs who could break Olympic high jump records). Then, there are plays you can't/shouldn't even use because they're so horrifically broken (ie: QB sneak, FG block, HB screen, etc).
It's crazy that EA is at the point where they don't even have to care about reviews anymore (which from what I saw were fairly critical) because the game will sell regardless. I feel like the only thing that will get them to actually try again is when the NFL exclusivity deal ends and other companies can make football games again. You have no idea how much I hate saying "I think Soodmeg was right", but God damn...lol.
