Seems like a 1st rounder might not happen either though. I think DVO would probably get better value trading Gabbert and keeping Schaub, but that's just my 2 cents.
Regardless a 3rd rounder for an 89 OVR QB is asinine. He would rot on my bench before i made that trade.
Consider the source. ;)
pssst. Dvo.... (and your agent Staticz)....if i throw a 3rd rounder, 4th rounder, and a full case of these.... will you atleast consider it before throwing him back to your bench:D

Let us know one way or the other today whether your friend wants the last spot. So far we haven't had any bites from the JV league.

Perhaps this is overkill, but I took screenshots of the attributes of pretty much every key player on my team so I can finally see once and for all which attributes progress/regress from year to year and how that affects OVR rating. Should be interesting.
Looks like I'm gonna be draftting for the panthers since he has to work
If he gives you his info you should be able to draft for one of you on the Xbox and the other on the franchise website.

Ha! Me too.

Just made my pre-draft drops this morning, so a reminder to everyone to either do that or take a snapshot of your roster so you can see who the CPU drops.

The other Patriots fans in here should enjoy that.

Ah, but did you also take screenshots of every player you're talking about trading for? I have several of your players as well. ;)

That I did. I'm smarter than an average bear.

What do u think ikeem smith will do in terms of progression? He played excellent for 5 games before getting hurt. You think his injury rating will go down?

This is my first franchise, so forgive my ignorance, but why do we drop players?

Player performance (or injury) has zero bearing on how a player progresses.

I'd imagine he'll be around 90-91.

We've gone over this before, possibly before you joined us. ... You can Sit any A/B young player like Von Miller on your bench for an entire season. He's still going to progress.

How long they play, how well they play, or whether or not they were hurt NEVER matters. otherwise..
Dwayne Bowe, Miles Austin, Brandon Flowers, Jamaal Charles and Eric Berry would all be 99 EVERY season. lol
This is my first franchise, so forgive my ignorance, but why do we drop players?
If you don't drop the 7 players .you. choose, the computer will randomly drop your worst 7.
This is my first franchise, so forgive my ignorance, but why do we drop players?
Because the CPU will automatically drop as many as 7 players from your roster to make room for the guys you draft. We just do it so we can keep track of who the guys are - you can pick them back up after if you want. I usually end up picking about half of them back up, depending on how full my roster is and how many guys I drafted.

Really? I figured he'd stay about the same, you just made my day. ikeem is untouchable, jus throwin that out there

3 (mid-teen) 6th round picks for a 5th round pick which is earlier than the Cardinals 5th round pick. Three chances at a better potential for the position you want, or just more depth. Anyone interested?

Edit: Thanks BV, 1 (mid-teen) and 2 (early to mid-twenties) 6th round picks.

Cardinals, Falcons and Patriots picks

I would think both the Falcons pick and my own will actually be in the 20s.

I was under the impression injuries stunted a players growth. Stanford Routt was well on his way to 90+ but got injured and went from an 85 to an 82. Tamba Hali, same story but missed 7ish games last season(and 11ish this season) and he went from an 89 to an 87. Both guys young and A potential. Anymore cases like that?

I don't think so. MA is our resident progression expert, so we'll see what he says, but I seriously doubt injuries are taken into account.
I can tell you right now that isn't going to happen.
I personally don't think Schaub is worth a first or second pick, in the fantasy league he went third, and in the the nfl I think he went third or 4thround, (not like it matters)a first round pick for him is a lot.

DVO traded his 1st and 3rd rounder to Ramesu for him, which ended up being a top pick (might even be #1). It definitely didn't work out, though it's certainly understandable that he'd want to recoup some of that investment.

I still think he'd get more value for Gabbert, especially if he progresses well.

So by that logic you think Tom Brady is only worth a 6th rounder? You keep bringing up the real life draft.

delmas 84 to 81 even loss 2 catch with 20 picks on the season and was never injured

Your example is best...but Brett Favre was drafted in the 2nd round. IS he only worth a 2nd rounder if he was 89 OVR A POT? :D

Schaub is a Starting Caliber QB Anywhere he Goes. The dudes solid. I'd give my first round pick up for him in a heartbeat if i needed a QB.
That logic I had says (not like it matters).....ur logic should have brought u to read better!!!!!
Then why do you keep bringing it up? WHO CARES?

Even Tom is disappointed.

That's a separate issue. FS progression is glitched, at least in the first year. I believe every FS regressed in season 2, I know Pat Chung did.

I'm hoping it won't get worse in season 3...
delmas 84 to 81 even loss 2 catch with 20 picks on the season and was never injured
That's right! That was the weirdest case in the league.

Then do it, you might be one of the only few.

The progression must have a random factor thrown in there.

Your nuts

He went in the third round of a fantasy draft that encompasses ALL of the NFL players and you think that makes him worth only a third round pick in a draft of unknown college players? It is not the same type of comparison.

Not that this matters, but in a real life trade, he was traded for a pair of 2nd round picks and a swap of 1st round picks. This was before he ever established himself as a NFL starting QB also, which as an 89 overall player, he obviously is in this league.
That's right! That was the weirdest case in the league.
Weirdest except that it happened to pretty much every FS in the league. ;)
The progression must have a random factor thrown in there.
As far as I know progression is fixed, if you started two online franchises at the same time players would always progress the same way.

I don't know if they've fixed the FS bug, but it's certainly still built into our progressions. I wouldn't be shocked if they all regressed again.
Yeah every FS regressed (at least on XFN). DeCoud went from 82 to 80 and he was 26 with B potential. Doom, do you want to play some 2k later?
Indeed. Time for some more Tyreke action
Weirdest except that it happened to pretty much every FS in the league. ;)
Yeah I forgot about that. My FS got injured as well so I thought that was why he regressed \\:D/
Damn I wish I knew about FS regression before I drafted one with mt first pick last year.
Might not happen in year 3. After all, the schedule bug is allegedly fixed. You never can say with Madden.
