Damn.
well damn now that the bills are open again
DVO, if we don't find someone before the draft, are you still willing to fill in for the Bills permanently until we find a new owner? I know you subbed for them most last year, and I'd prefer to have a stable sub for them if they go into the season unowned.

Whew sorry guys...just caught up on the 7ish pages I missed since last night.

Regarding injuries/progression...nothing is proven, but the general consensus in my other league (in its 4th season) is that "snaps played" can potentially have an effect on progression. So obviously if a player is injured, they aren't playing as many snaps and has a chance to regress. There are definitely discrepancies between progressions in different online franchises using the same exact rosters, so something has to account for that. Andy Dalton went from 71 or 72 to 75 in his 2nd season in this franchise, but stayed exactly the same in season 2 of my other franchise (in which I didn't play him a single snap). You'll notice that I gave my A potential rookie HB a LOT of carries despite being obviously inferior to Lynch...that was just cause I wanted him to get a bunch of snaps in, in case it does affect progression...it's all speculation at this point though, but there have been other similar cases of injury interfering with progression (not at the FS position!).

And yeah I noticed the pass block footwork on XFN is just listed as the same value as pass block strength. A bunch of rookie o-linemen in this game have very high pass block strength but low pass block footwork...so make sure you don't look at an o-lineman's attributes on XFN and see "98 PBS 98 PBF" and trade an arm and a leg for him.

Cru said he might be home by 5:45 EST, so we might get started a little earlier.

Interesting theory.. All three of my rookies played pretty much every snap this season, so if that is true I'd be pretty happy. :D

I got a look at Ross and Kohlhausen's progression in a different league (which were awesome), so I can compare to see if my guys progress the same.

I've found that AWR plays a large factor in the OVR formula, as do things like BCV and other 'mental' attributes.

MA, was there a bigger leap from year 3 to year 4? It is widely accepted that year 3 is typically the breakout year for young players, would be interesting to see if that holds true in Madden.

if Yanks is taking the Giants over, and there's nobody waiting to fill a spot, I wouldn't mind hanging around with my Panthers until i left for basic. I didnt want to just abandon them in the middle of a season but it seems as if the league is moving pretty quickly and I cant find anyone to buy Madden from me for a reasonable price, so getting a few games in with an improved Cam and AJ Green would keep me busy til Feb. 14th
The 'Yanks' that took over the Panthers is a different user. We have two Yankees fans that decided to use it as part of their UN sadly. :(
I predict this will get confusing real fast. Clearly it already is actually, haha.

someone should change their name to RedSoxFan. Problem solved.

gotcha lol... i dont check the thread daily anymore so i'm missing a lot apparently. at any rate, i'm still around til Feb 14 so since i cant unload this game on anybody, i'm available as a sub.

Can you post in here when you're about to get started so I'm on the lookout?

Nah that's definitely not the case...I think the biggest leaps are usually in the first season or two, with some exceptions obviously. I've found out through XFN that players actually have a value assigned to their potentials. We draft through XFN in another league and it shows you the rookies potentials (like 98 for some A potential rookies and 90 for others...90-99 are A, 80-89 are B..etc.).

Superbowl going down NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey BV to the question u asked earlier i will sub the bills. but i think a better idea would be to have which ever yankee fan it was to hold on the bills there not a bad team and he was willing to do it it will be much easier to find someone else who wants to take over the giants than it will be the bills he was already willing to take the bills. just an idea but if u want him to change to the giants and me sub for the bills until then idc just throwing ideas out there u know. or even do this have duece take over the giants till we have a sub then the yankee fan can have the bills. idk just throwing a bunch of shit out there. extra ideas always help

Are you just saying that because he expressed an interest in Schaub? ;)
Are you just saying that because he expressed an interest in Schaub? ;)
please dont judge me :D

maybe i do have some motive in this as it could seem. but idc either way schaub will end up moving now or later. someone will need him someones QB will get hurt and well schaub will be the best open QB on the market there for it doesnt bother me. but ideas are out there so just giving u ideas becuz this should be something that needs to be worked out b4 the draft clearly

Good Game Masterawesome, Defensive Battle all the way , I was scared when you put 21 points up right before half , smh your Defense is excellent.

I am happy my 49ers stepped up for this one, Colin Kapernick was Superbowl MVP even though he threw 3 picks. 24 - 21 49ers over Ravens for Superbowl.

BV can you hold off on advancing XFN so everyone who didn't go crazy with the screenshots can still use it to compare player attributes between seasons? Lol

My back up running back Ryan Williams increased from an 83 OVR to an 89. He remains on the trade block.

Colin Mccarthy my MLB shot up (to a 98 Tackle, not bad for a little white dude), My young FB got a lot better too. ANybody else get some really good progressions.

Sure, I haven't advanced it yet. Uber or siradam can do so once people are ready.

I'm actually going to be out all evening, so while people can start submitting trades for review tonight please don't look for any of them to be approved until tomorrow morning.

Also, if anyone wants to negotiate trades with me this evening, I will have my phone, and so you can either PM me on CAG or e-mail me (which will be easier). Just make sure you let me know who you are, lol.
I didn't advance XFN yet. Someone else might have, but it wasn't me.
I advanced it to show Superbowl stats. I didn't touch the offseason portion. It says once you do that, it's too late to go back. I wanted to see the box score.

Your advancing privileges are revoked, doofus. ;)
