I wasn't ducking you last night, Doomtime. I passed out watching the baseball game. I'll be on tonight, though.

Thanks for the sub BV (no worries about the loss).... The 2-2 Texans are looking forward to the matchup with the Raiders. I will be on and available tonight. PM'ing my opponent right now.

Good game AT. I'd like to think it was a bit closer than the scoreboard says but you did a wonderful job of keeping me out of the endzone. I couldn't run and missed throws that I should've made.

That pick 6 basically sealed it, ive lost all faith in my passing game at this point.[/QUOTE]

GG man. You did a lot of good things on defense that really screwed with me, considering I was only able to put up 10 points on O. Thankfully my defense showed up big time, holding Seattle to only 3 points and scoring a TD of their own on a Corey Webster TAINT.

Giants quietly move to 5-0 on the season.

Hey BV I'm cool with Shaun O'Hara taken because I'm higher on the power rankings chart, so I will find someone else. But I think Pacer has a bone to pick with his mlb pick. I know it's first come first serve to group of 8. But he has no wins on the season and the fins have at least one per the XFN site. I have no issues with either player///pacer and the fins owner...x box name escapes me right now, but if pacer wants the mlb he should get him based on power ranking and overall win/loss. I would think you should be given a 24 hr. period to provide who you want andpost on this site with the three choices of guys you want and if you snooze you lose.

Is this necessary since I don't even have 53 players?

Yeah, you still have to drop someone.

First-come first-serve means exactly what it means. Yeah, the 8th team happened to get him, but it just as easily could have been one of the other 0 win teams. Would you have had a problem with it then? We said well in advance this was how we were going to do it (and it's how we did it last year), taking individual turns for 32 people would be completely impractical.

I'm in the 4th group despite being 3-1. If one of the 4-0 guys claimed someone before me that I wanted, I would be fine with it since that's how we've set it up.

Anyway... Reposting the list on this page:

Group 1:
1. Bills - Mark Tauscher (RT)
2. Titans - Shaun O'Hara (C)
3. Eagles - Keith Bullock (ROLB)
4. Cowboys - Noel Devine (HB)
5. Vikings - Terrel Owens (WR)
6. Cardinals - Max Starks (LT)
7. Colts - Antwan Odom (DE)
8. Dolphins - Lofa Tatupu (MLB)

Group 2:
9. Rams
10. Browns
11. Jaguars
12. Bengals
13. Chargers
14. Texans
15. Redskins
16. Bears

Group 3:
17. Panthers
18. Raiders
19. Broncos
20. Lions
21. Seahawks
22. Ravens
23. Falcons
24. Bucs

Group 4:
25. Saints
26. Patriots
27. Jets
28. Packers
29. Giants
30. Steelers
31. 49ers
32. Chiefs

Group 1 may begin selecting their players now, and will have until 11:30 AM EST tomorrow before group 2 gets to go.

I know first come first serve is what was decided on. If someone makes a post prior to fa period of a potential player they want, should that post be nullenvoid? I would say that post should hold firm to the fa period and at that point if your ranked lower than a guy who also claimed him, the lower guy should get him. I'm not on cag all the time, so the second fa period is opened up I can't always be there, thus first come first serve. If another 0 win team claimed the guy I wanted, I wouldn't even be posting about this. I felt my post on Shaun O' Hara earlier was spelt out there. Another 0 win team grabbed him, no big deal. Pacer made a post about the mlb prior to the fa period opening up and then another team ranked higher obtained him in the same 8 team bracket. The rules are the rules at the end of the day, I realize that. There isn't anything anyone here did wrong, in a way it seemed unfair because there is a post trail of what actually played out. BV and Uber do a great job at what they do. I'm not taking arguing at anyone directly but more or less expressing my feelings about Pacer's issue because it could of easily been an issue of mine as well.

To me, since the 'dibs' were made before FA opened they don't really matter. Everyone wanted LeBron in FA a year or two back. Did the team that called before FA opened get him? Nope.

BV's system works, in my opinion, because you can't tank to get a player.

Yeah, I actually remembered you mentioning O'Hara earlier in the week, and I honestly considered not taking him for that reason. But I came to the conclusion that that would be stupid on my part. In the NFL draft, teams don't worry about which players are also desired by other teams. They do what's best for their team, and that's that.

I had thought about taking Terrell Owens, but since my top player is a speedy running back, I thought upgrading my starting C from a 73 to an 89 would do a lot more for my team than adding a 36 year old WR who could retire after this season anyway.

I realize everybody can't be on CAG all day, but I had a general idea of when we'd be advancing based on posts that were made Saturday. I decided what moves I was going to make. And I tried to monitor the thread when I saw BV and Zurezo were playing. To me, it was no different than bidding on an item on eBay or buying tickets to an event. If you want it, make it a point to be there.

Team Name: Eagles
Add: Keith Bullock (ROLB)
Drop: Jon Dorenbos (LOLB)

I'm fine with the Tatupu thing at this point. He isn't going to make me go 12-4.

You know what, I'll take responsibility for it. Looking back, I did say that I would give him O'Hara, which was obviously a mistake on my part since that wasn't how I intended things to work. Although I didn't say the same thing about Tatupu, I acknowledge that based on what I'd said earlier I could have given Pacer the impression he could pre-claim him and not worry about it.

So I'll take a mea culpa on this one. It's a lot of work and apparently I contradict myself sometimes. There's nothing to be done about it now, and obviously the way we're doing it is what we all agree is the most fair. My apologies to the both of you for the confusion though. On the bright side: Both of you already have pretty talented rosters, so you have a good chance of turning it around even without some FA signing.

Both of you still have the right to pick someone else up, and I hope you do so.

In advance of the 11:30 group, does anyone feel like volunteering to go online and post the top 5 available FA (along with OVR) at each position? Obviously many of us are at work and can't access the FA list. If no one can, no big deal.

I will make sure this period extends into the evening hours though, for anyone who can't get on from work.

No worries BV, your doing a great job. I just thought there was some overall confusion, but its all good in the cag hood. I'm going to claim the hb 65 overall rated devine. I'm at work, so I don't know who I am going to drop yet.

No worries man, I'm in the same boat with my centers. I have two 60's rated c potential centers. O'Hara would of been a 20 plus point addition. I would of done the same thing as you. I'm glad you got him and are able to get his big self moving in the right direction, hopefully in the win column. :)

We have a trade problem: I just saw that Arizona traded their 2nd round pick to Carolina for Dan Connor (somehow I missed this). The problem is that Arizona's 2nd rounder already belongs to Philadelphia as part of the Kevin Kolb trade. ubernes, how do you want to deal with this?

As a reminder to everyone when trading picks: We do honor pick trades for the upcoming NFL draft which were made by real teams prior to our rosters being set. A list of all previously traded picks can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_NFL_Draft

Mallett trade looks good to go.

I think you can get more for Freeman honestly, but it's your call.

Hmm how about one of the teams settles for the 3rd round pick and maybe a low rated player instead? Tough situation really, I don't think a trade back would go over well.

Deuce would need to agree to it as well. Failing that, I'd say we should have the Cardinals 3rd rounder go to Philly.

Alright. Darth, drop him so Deuce can pick him back up. Ubernes, can you strike that trade from the OP when you get a chance?

We'll be more vigilant about checking those trades against already traded picks in the future.

Oh, and Deuce, if you still want a 2nd rounder for Connor, I'd give you mine. ;)

Also, 5 people in group 2 still need to pick a player.
