As am I. Though truthfully I find myself wondering if stockpiling CBs is going to be as sound a strategy this year as it was last. There's so much more running this year, I almost think weakening myself up the middle would be a bad idea.

I've seen way fewer 4 and 5-wide sets than last year (and am running way fewer myself).
I'm not really too worried about the run, though I know only having one good corner would come back to bite me in a playoff run.
I might be willing to trade the man on the right in your avatar, assuming you haven't soured on him. ;) We'll talk.
Let me just mirror the avatar so it appears you are speaking about Tom Brady, Bahaha. But seriously I would be interested in Ocho, and I definitely won't sour on him and the team sure can't with the big contract they paid him.
I was trying to break Kerley's wrists the entire time I played against him...thanks for finishing the job.
 With Burress out for the rest of the season as well I may have to start poking around for WR help. Holmes/Keller should be able to get me through the season along with Mason, but I always like that 4th option.

edit: WHO IS GOING TO RUN MY WILDCAT NOW!? Someone trade me Brad Smith!

Dexter McCluster for Revis? Yes? ...Maybe...?
49ers over the Buc's 60 to 7 , Braylon Edwards out for 3 weeks.
This sort of went unnoticed, but I wanted to use this as a chance to address this kind of thing in general. I don't know the full story obviously. I haven't even checked the box score so maybe the Niners didn't even score in the 4th or if they did it was on a fumble or something, regardless let's try to take note when the game is out of reach and let the game end. Running it on 3rd and long up by 45 points won't kill you if you need to punt it. Just a general FYI to everyone. Thanks.

About half the games have been played already for this week.

I also advanced the XFN stat site (link in the OP), so you can check that out. Tanabeo can post his wrap up if he likes, but nothing new here... Charles in OPOW again.

Wow. Yeah, the only thing I would hope happened there is that the Bucs kept throwing the ball, which resulted in pick 6's or very short fields where rushing TD's were fairly simple. As one of the crappier players in the league, I appreciate you and BV trying to keep people humble, but what you said actually raises an interesting point. Recognizing when the game is out of reach and letting it end applies to both teams. Sometimes the losing team needs to have the cognizance to call a loss a loss.

If I'm down by 28 points or more and have thrown several picks already, I usually don't just keep airing the ball out because 1. I KNOW my opponent is expecting a pass only attack. And 2. the more picks I throw, the longer my ass whipping is going to last. I treat my online MUT opponents the same way. If you act like a douche, I'm not going to feel bad about being a douche to you. Respect is a two way street.

I just saw something and have a question If you score as time is up in the 4th and can put it in OT by kicking a XP can you go for 2 and try to win the game?(some coachs would and some would go into OT is why I ask)

I had 38 points at half and 48 points going into the 4th quarter , then within the first thirty seconds Kendall Hunter broke a run for 62 yards. Throughout the third and forth I ran the ball for various 3rd downs. There was one early in the fourth I threw a pass due to like a 3 and 15 , which resulted in a 1st and 2nd down run call where the defense engages 8 and canned my back. I also got a safety in the fourth and a 37 yrd field goal when the clock was stopped on a fourth down from 37 yards away.

In short I don't believe at any point I did anything questionable , if anything there were points I didn't put on the board, before half I recovered a fumble on kickoff return , I didn't try to run the touchdown in I also only did a dive and just took three points. Usually after I am up 28 to 35 points I just run every down unless they blitz the whole house and are getting free shots on my running back and qb if they don't hand it off in time.

Yes, if someone decided to do that it would be fine. Especially in a shootout type of game where you're confident that if your opponent got the ball first in OT, they would score. It's certainly not something you should make a habit of, but as you pointed out some coaches would do it.
Sweep the leg. If they want to stop you then they need to do it. Don't do it for them.
Hi. No. You're not in this league, your opinion counts for less than nothing. Thanks for stopping by.

Valcons/Panthers is going down in 5 minutes.

Yeah I don't have a problem with it. A real coach would make that decision.

Panthers 10
Falcons 3

The Panthers take control of the NFC South with a strong defensive effort down in Atlanta. Cam Newton did not throw an interception for the first time this season. Not much offense between either team, but Carolina's gameplan was to play ball control offense and for the most part, they did just that. Holding Roddy White and Julio Jones collectively 2 catches for 47 yards was key to helping the Panthers to their first two game winning streak of the season. Now Carolina turns thier focus to the Washington Redskins... GG GBPackers

Good game man. I just wish Matt Ryan didn't overthrow Roddy White on that 4th down from my 37 in the 4th. :bomb:
Just want to remind the Raiders owner I'm free to play from this afternoon to the deadline. I still haven't heard anything about your schedule though.
I'll let him know.

At 2-4, I will still be tied for first in the AFC South after Week 6 smh....As soon as I figure out how to not turn the ball over, my team will be good again....and I gotta run the ball consistently

Yeah, you definitely have the easiest path to the playoffs in the AFC it's looking like. How interesting the playoff race in the AFC shakes out to be will depend on how many of those 3-2 and 2-3 teams end up being decent.

:booty:Anytime.

Is there still any interest in a second league? Specifically a fantasy draft one? My schedule is starting to slow down and 2 madden games a week isn't doing it for me anymore.

I was thinking about it the other day.. Does anyone have an idea of how long a 32-team fantasy draft would take in Madden? I'd have to think it would be a ridiculously long endeavor.

It's long. I did it with like 6 people and it took like 1.5 hours, but the CPU took 15 seconds for every single pick, so I assume that if you set it for like 20-30 seconds per pick it wouldn't take more than 3 hours. The normal draft takes about an hour to compare.

It will take anywhere from about 2 to 3 hours Ive done them plenty of times , I had about 17 to 24 actually users , I usually set the first 20 picks to one minute than the next twenty I speed up to either 45 seconds or 30 seconds. Anybody who isn't present the computer picks within 2 seconds.

Trade up for review

Josh Freemna 87 23 A POT and Legarrette Blount 81 24 A POT
for
Frank Gore 91 28 ??(think its an A) and 3rd round draft pick

I don't know about this. I think a 2nd round draft pick would be more fair.

Reasoning= There is no way a 3rd round pick will ever= Freeman or Blount. You also have to look at the ages, in a few season Blount will probably be 90 and I don't think Gore is going much higher.

Yeah, make it a 2nd rounder and I'd say it looks fine.
I'd be interested.
Ditto, as long as I'm not the one running it. I've got enough on my plate with this league for now. :D

^ True, I can't run it either since I'm trying to get the 2K league off the ground. The servers are so terrible though so I don't know if that's going to happen.

The Reason Im saying a third is because Blount is out for 4 more weeks , off a injury , and ironically he is injured in my other franchise I think a third is fair.

I wouldn't be able to run it either, I have too much going on with school.

Actually I don't care I can make it a second, If I made it a second and he added a 4th or 5th would that seem more even to you Doom and GbPackers

Yeah, the 4th or 5th can be compensation for the injury.

ok I gotta run it by Tanabeo and check I think he wouldn't mind

I have no 5th pick as the Real life bucs traded it and also for my game this week i have been waiting for ballhawk all yesterday afternoon i was on and all morning today i am about to leave and will not be back for a couple of hours. so maybe we can play tonight.
Thanks, I just got back into town and checked all my messages and still nothing.
I don't really get this. I know he's not using Freeman, but Gore isn't an upgrade really is he? I mean, he'll probably regress and Blount will advance and we're probably looking at two RBs in the mid 80s. I hate to keep shooting these down, but Freeman is beastly and is worth Gore + a 3rd on his own.
