It depends on my mood. I like to talk to you guys if I can, just adds to the community factor, which is a major reason that I play in these leagues.

I'm getting on now if anyone wants to scrim. Just got assigned a feature story that includes covering Black Friday here. Not sure how I feel about that. :hot:
 
Also, I'm not a mic person —$mainly because I play at night, and we try to keep the house as quiet as possible when the kids are asleep. Plus, I'm sure it would distract me, and I'd play worse than normal.
 
I don't use mics during the game because I play better without them. I have ADD and a one-track mind, and I was losing all the time when I used the headset. This season, I'm doing fairly well and I haven't used the headset during any games. Anytime other than league games, even right before or after we play, I'd be fine chatting with any of you.

I'm a journalism major and I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. Hoping to get something lined up before I graduate.
 
Possibly. I have to play my CAGFL game at 7 and I have some work to do, but if I get that all done and we advance early (before 10) than I may be able to play.

Seahawks v Eagles isn't happening until 10est. Pacer has been without power for the past few days so we had to push the game back, sorry.

like i posted on the last post of page 194.... venom asked me to sub for the next "2 games" in each league.... possibly 3..... i pmed superstar and told him i can play at 11pm tonight in venoms place...no response from him as of yet.

If that's too late, i suppose someone else of comparable stats to venom can play for him.

sounds good, he said he did have to work late today and it's not too late for me so hopefully that works out.

The 2nd to last game is in the 3rd right now. Siradam is online. Just waiting on Superstar. Anyone have a way of reaching him? He hasn't been on CAG in almost 24 hours.

Seattle squeaks out a win over the Eagles even though the Eagles were able to terrorize the Hawks gameplan the entire game. Seattle forced 7 turnovers which was the only reason they won the game.

Pacer is a damn good player. He knew everything I was doing and my defense was the only reason I won this game.

Stats -
Freeman: 8 of 20 for 142 yds and 2 INTs
Rice: 116 yds on 24 attempts. 3 TDs

Superstar said he had to work really late. I'm not sure when he'll be available, his post last night made it sound like he wasn't going to be able to play any other time.

It was a better game than the score indicated. I think staticz scored three TDs in the final 3 minutes. Very good player and he was awesome about pushing the game back because of my power situation.
 
Yeah, I saw that one. I quoted it at the bottom of the last page. I just wish I knew what "LATE" meant. 11:30? Midnight? I'm sure we can find a sub for him that late and I'd prefer to get it done tonight or sometime before the evening tomorrow so we can use all of Thursday night for games.

I'm trying to keep us so we don't overlap with the other league's advancing date. So if they advance Friday and say half/most of the league is done with their games by Thursday then that won't slow things down here, and vice versa.
 
St. Louis sports magic continues this week as the Rams somehow pull out a stunning upset over the mighty San Francisco 49ers 19-13.

The 49ers led in many categories, including total yards, time of possession and third-down efficiency. However, St. Louis' defense came through to allow the come-from-behind win in the fourth. The Rams scored 10 unanswered points to come away with the win.

To the league: I do have a question, though. What is the definitive league opinion regarding a QB dropping back (and back and back) to avoid pressure? That seems to be Cru's tactic, and although I did notch a few sacks for some huge losses, there were some crazy plays for big gains as well.

Not trying to throw anyone under the bus, but I seem to remember some chatter about this. Any help is appreciated.
 
i'll hang around for another 20-30 minutes..other than that..i've gotta go to bed, sadly...i wake up at 6 am too..and starting a game at 11:45/12pm at night=bad for me...lol

I don't believe there's a league rule or general consensus on this. I assume he wasn't scrambling backwards, which is something we have discussed and said it's frowned upon. Dropping far back? I don't know if there's a clear, unfair advantage in doing so. I find myself doing it a couple times a game, but it's typically only when I'm under pressure and 99% of the time I just get sacked for more yards haha.
 
I can sub late if needed. My record isn't very close to Venom's but whatever we gotta get the game done.

I guess I don't really know the difference. There were times where he was dropping and then rolling out to the right. Other times, it just seemed like he kept dropping back and back until a receiver came open. My D was able to get to him a few times, including a safety right before the half. Again, I'm not really complaining; I just wanted to know if there were any decisions made about this.

I do want to add that Cru definitely plays in the spirit of the league. I'm not at all trying to start anything or anger anyone.

I'd have to see a replay. If the QB is dropping back completely out of the pocket all the time, I don't think that's okay. That said, I've never noticed anything like that when I've played Cru, so I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

This isn't pointed at you lyric, but I think with issues like this it's best to PM uber or bv. It doesn't look good when put out their publicly. Just my two cents.
 
Assuming we advance tonight... tomorrow I'm available from 6:30-8pm est. And then perhaps later. I joined another bball league and my first game is tomorrow!

I summed the final game. Broncos won. If you're playing the Broncos this week, reach out to Siradam. Superstar, sorry the game had to be simmer but yesterday was the deadline and I was at least hoping for an update by this morning. Hope you don't mind the sim.

Good Game Lyric , Steven Jackson played well against my defense. 49ers are in a tough position now especially with Zurezo coming up on my schedule.

To address the matter of me dropping back , I usually don't drop back if anything I usually just roll out and run or pass when there is pressure if I can or throw the ball out of bounds.It seemed like after the first drive in Our game for some reason my center begin allowing an immense amount of pressure and I was almost forced to back up unless I was passing from shotgun, and when I use washington's offensive playbook I prefer to pass from under the center. I prefer to pass from the pocket especially being how bad my QB I am almost forced to, but if there is pressure Im not just going to stick around and eat the sack.

i use my fone and its a bitch to pm someone.... if they wanna pm me thats cool i put it out there so everyone sees i attempt to contact my opponent... if u want me to wait till i get off work to send an xbox live message thats fine but prob will take longer to set something up..
 
(this isnt just directed at you sprice..dont worry)... Preemptively pm your opponents... the website shows everyone who they play next week. Uber said we were advancing last night..... everyone could send a private message to their opponent last night and discussed their availability for this week......ahead of time;)

if u encourage people to keep up with the thread y is it bad to schedule games in here? and trade talks are also always kept private untill debated on unless u want to let everyone know who is up for grabs on ur roster?
