Patriots 24 - Redskins 0
The Patriots' D bounced back from a suspect effort against the Colts last week to post their fourth defensive shutout of the year (but first since Week 6). This was a pretty one-sided affair, with the Patriots outgaining the Redskins 355 to 46.
Tom Brady was finally fantastic, going 12 of 13 for 136 yards and 2 TDs (both to Gronk, returning from injury).
The Patriots rushing attack put on a show (gaining me an achievement in the process):
AP rushed 15 times for 126 yards and a score.
Green-Ellis added 13 carries of his own for 108 yards.
Most of the damage was again to the tight ends, as Aarob Gronknandez caught 10 passes for 123 yards and 2 TDs. Welker had the only catch by a WR.
The Redskins stuck with their rushing attack most of the day but Stewart really couldn't get anything going. Garrard attempted only 6 passes despite trailing, completing 3.

gg man2008! My defense was just on fire in this one, it was tough for you to get anything going. You made a few nice run stops here and there, but AP and Law Firm wore you down in the long run, and Brady was pretty much perfect.
Patriots move into 1st place in the AFC East by virtue of the tie-breaker over the Jets. We'll see how long they can keep it. Oh, I also grabbed back the scoring defense lead. Your move, Doom and BigAT.
I'm really loving the fact that I kept Green-Ellis as a change of pace back. He's great in short yardage and his near-perfect Carry rating makes me trust him absolutely to salt away games.
