Matt Cassel on the block if the price is right
matt cassel isnt quite the step up it would look like he would be from gabbert even though cassel is an 86 and gabbert is an 80 for the type of stats i look out for the most gabbert would be alot better for me and prolly most people as well but im needing something a better than gabbert still becuz he can throw deep but hes all over the place with it
I think it might be a little late at this point...but just a heads up: you can trade draft picks on the XFN site. You can legitimately make trades like Colt McCoy for a 1st round pick and put it through on XFN and it would give you the 1st round pick of the team you're trading McCoy to. This is how we do it in another league...we also did our rookie draft through XFN too, which went pretty smoothly except the site crashed once midway through (too much traffic or something), but it didn't affect the draft...we just had to resume it a little later.
So for the next season we could try this out...I don't know if it's part of the free package you get with XFN or if it's something only paying people can take advantage of (the owner of our other league paid for a year's membership to XFN after they started charging). We could even try it out now...the way we do it in the other league is like this:
Trade: Colt McCoy to the Carolina Panthers for a 1st round pick
-So the commissioner would add some FA scrub onto the Browns team (let's say Billy Johnson), then propose the trade on XFN like: "Cleveland Browns sends Billy Johnson / Carolina Panthers sends 1st round pick" and put it through...then just drop Billy from the Panthers and voila...we just put the Carolina Panthers' 1st rounder onto the Browns!!

I might be a little hard to get a hold of tonight, just going mobile, but I'm still watching for Hillis offers and will respond tomorrow if I have any problems. If I rethink possible Haden trades I'll let everyone know too.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis is on the block if anyone needs a short yardage bruiser. He had a hell of a season for me, with over 500 yards (5.8ypc) and 7 TDs as AP's backup. He also has the highest Carry rating in the game at 99, so he's perfect for icing games. Only reason I'm considering moving him is because Stevan Ridley is ready to take on that role (I've been auditioning him in the other league, and he's progressed nicely).
Also, what do you guys think about this: I've seen some people talking about swapping first round picks, and I've had some discussions about it myself. I'm of the opinion that while a first round pick would usually count 1 core player against the trade cap, they shouldn't in instances where people are swapping firsts as part of a trade. After all you're both still getting a 1st rounder, so it doesn't really make sense for both teams to lose a core player. Thoughts?
When should we cut some of our players to make room for the draft? I usually write down who I end up cutting.
Go ahead and do it whenever. I was suggesting waiting until Tuesday so it didn't confuse FA pickups, but the game seems to not be allowing those anyway so it shouldn't be a problem. But yeah, obviously just keep track of everyone you drop.

I don't think they should count against the cap unless someone is giving up their first rounder. If you're just swapping then you really aren't giving anything up.

Well only 1st rounders count against the cap to begin with. What I was talking about is if someone with the #8 pick traded down to #19 or something, I didn't think that should count against the cap(whereas it usually would).
wat needs were u lookin to fill?
trying to replace gabbert although he does have very nice stats even though his overall doesnt reflect that his short and medium is really great but his long is weak and i like to go deep but with his arm is pretty much impossible

Chad Henne has already been given his notice, Would you be interested in the fair lad?

I was going to look and see if I might be interested in acquiring him as a Brady backup, but hot damn, are your QBs inaccurate! You're going to be scary next season with a decent QB under center.

That is what I was saying. However I feel like if you (whom I believe is the only person with this capability) were to trade both of your firsts for one pick then one of them should go against the cap.

Yeah, in that situation one would still count, just not both. And yeah, I'm not the only one with two 1st round picks, but everyone else with two already has at least one in the top 10, so the "package 2 picks to move up" thing only really applies to me. Nobody in the top 10 seemed to jump at that chance though.
I'm finally getting a chance to look over all my progressions and regressions. Man, Deion Branch fell off a cliff, he's now below both Julian Edelman and Taylor Price (who's going to have a breakout year for me, calling it now). Time to put the poor old boy out to pasture along with Kevin Faulk, who finally hung up the cleats.

I saw some huge gains but also big drops. The one that killed me is Trufant dropping to an 81 with low 80s speed. My number 1 and number 2 CBs are now 81 and 77 OVR...

Leigh Bodden fell off a cliff as well, though he was only my 3rd corner so it's not as big a deal. Ras-I Dowling is ready to step in anyway (though he played FS for me last year, a spot I'll need to fill now).
Last ditch effort......... WR Steve Smith (88, A), DE Charles Johnson (91, A), RB DeAngelo Williams (88, A) are all on the block... looking for a CB and/or a 1st

The only person who wants Steve Smith is the only person you don't want to trade him to. It's a conundrum.
Man, I should probably not be in a rush to get rid of all these picks, I only have 4 as it is. Although the fewer picks I have, the more effort I can dedicate to helping run the thing. The sacrifices I make for you guys.

Ballhawk, how about Patterson for my first pick
Already tried Patterson for the #1 pick of the draft, and he turned it down...
Brandon Marshall, Reggie Bush, Chad Henne, Vontae Davis, Sean Smith, Koa Misi, Cameron Wake, Karlos Dansby, Mike Pouncey, Jake Long, Paul Soliai, Kendall Langford, Randy Starks.... All still in the Table for the right price!

Seriously no one is interested in these guys or Hillis? These are dominant players!
