YEAH YEAH Ravens start off hot with a 44-14 victory at Mile High. Rookie draft bust Najee Ford allowed 1 sack in his first NFL start!!!!! He was asked to match up against Elvis Dumervil all game though...so we'll let it slide!! I'm so excited to see my players in action after a rookie draft...so I actually (very pathetically) went back and watched just about every possible replay of my team on offense so I could watch my 80 OVR rookie LT blocking.....very exciting stuff :) He seemed pretty dominant for the most part, so I'm happy with my pick! Bryant McKinnie has been regressing pretty significantly since the first season, so my rookie is definitely starting every game this season. I also need some depth at o-line since I have it on good authority that Matt Birk is retiring at the end of this season :( My 2nd 90+ OVR player retiring over the course of 3 seasons!!

Jamie Brooks is starting his campaign for OSOY (sophomore) hot with 6 receptions for 110 yards and 1 TD!!!! Sophomore HB Shakim Simmons garnered an underwhelming 79 yards and 1 TD rushing on 20 attempts in his starting debut, but added 4 receptions for 67 yards (an area that Lynch struggles in). Rookie WR Marion William tallied 2 receptions for 40 yards and a TD...but with 1 key drop in traffic.

The big question this season though is whether 3rd year linebacker Quan Sturdivant could step up to fill the shoes of MVP Ray Lewis. In his debut, he had a decent performance with 2 tackles and 1 interception. He's (I'm) gonna have to step it up big time though if he wants a shot at that MVP title! Ed Reed led the team with 6 tackles, as he was asked to match up on numerous occasions against newly acquired Aaron Hernandez which was proving to be a bit of a mismatch for Reed.

Excited for the season!!!!!!!! I don't have any misconceptions about getting to the Superbowl this season though :( As I told Cru....a million things had to go right for me to get to the Superbowl last time, so it would take a(nother) miracle to get there again.

Oh, and I'm fine with the Schaub/3rd for 1st round pick deal...It's obvious he's not getting a 1st round pick for Schaub straight up (he's been trying for a while now). And like I said during the draft...if that 80 OVR QB with 88 SAC, 90 MAC, 75 DAC, 85 PAC, 85 TOR went 2 whole rounds without getting drafted, then people are obviously not in the market for QBs right now. Judging from the draft we just had, a 3rd round pick can hardly be considered starting-caliber aside from maybe some of the lowly teams without a lot of talent.

But as I was typing that...I could definitely side with the 1st for Schaub and a 4th rounder too. Considering the Jags had the worst record in the league, it's not hard to imagine he'll have a pretty good draft position this year as well (sorry DVO...I wish you the best of luck!). And the Titans were the #2 seed in the AFC so it's not hard to imagine they'll have a not-so-good draft position this year again, despite their 0-1 start. Also, since this trade is being proposed in Week 1 of the season, then the Titans will be getting a lot out of Schaub. If this trade was proposed mid-season right before the deadline, then I'd be more inclined to agree with Schaub/3rd rounder for a 1st. But since the Titans are getting him right off the bat and the Jags are getting nothing to show for it until wayyyy down the line, then I feel like Schaub and a 4th would be appropriate. I'm still okay with Schaub and a 3rd...I just like to throw out slight variations of what I think would be the fairest trade possible.

Baltimore - 44
Denver - 14
DENVER, CO --
The Broncos season got underway with a tough team coming to town - defending AFC champion Baltimore - and were overmatched from the outset. Fans of the team had hoped that under new general manager KasterDB the squad would be able to shock one of the NFL's best teams, but the Ravens did not overlook the week 1 matchup. Denver's failure to acquire a lockdown corner alongside Champ Bailey was apparent, as Joe Flacco threw all over the Denver defense.

The performance wasn't all bad though; Eddie Royal, after the trade of fellow receiver Demaryius Thomas to New England, pulled in 3 catches for 90 yards and a touchdown. The centerpiece of that deal, Aaron Hernandez, had 4 grabs, as he looks to develop a rapport with Tebow. Despite the disappointing opener, Kaster assured fans that the team would develop and be more competitive in the weeks ahead. "Today was not our best performance. We were outclassed in every aspect of the game. However, it's a long season. Our guys are focused on Jacksonville and are confident they can play in a fashion more befitting the great fans of this franchise."

Until then, we'll see what adjustments, if any, the Broncos make in practice leading up to the game.

Good game MA. I was hoping to come out and shock the world but I don't think I'm good enough yet, haha. That 59 yard field goal was insane.

Looks good to me...Not really keen on the trading within divisions.

Yes I did a QB sneak my bad... Also I have stuff I can say about our game I think is cheap but I dont care if I lose I lose if I win I win I'm not going to come in the fourms and bitch about stuff that happened. I hate to tell you this but that one play didn't cost you the game.

Helu is 2x years old? other than thought I don't see any problems with the GBPackers trade.

Titans trade is fair for both. DVO wasn't getting anything from anyone else for Schaub. But DVO I would not assume that Bseti will be below pick 20. Too much pride in Tennessee to bitch out, 12-4, AFC champions, thats my call

Tanabeo this post was not a very forum friendly. This is a new Panthers owner, pretty unfirmiliar with the league. Don't hint that he did something illegal if he didn't. If he did, bring it up so he can learn the rules.

And as I have been scolded for sentences like this

"I hate to tell you this but that one play didn't cost you the game"

Don't act like a prick for no reason, all he said was you did a qb sneak, and you scored on that drive.

Good game man, you don't need another cover corner though with that DE of yours lol. He made a nice play on that pass to the TE in the middle for the interception...I am still scratching my head at how a DE with 25 catching and 15 zone coverage does that!!!

And yeah I don't hesitate to go for those 60-yarders with my kicker lol, 98 kick power!!! Boo yeah!

Hahahaha, I should have just sent him to shut down your receivers in man to man coverage

That's the second time this year I've done that. DVO and I had a game in the JV league and I had a DE pick off a pass in the end zone xD

A 7 point game and I quit trying in the 2nd all I did was see how many times I could throw best the ball you only had 200 yards total 90+(got you 7) came off a run I wrapped up and put some ribbion on it for you. I blitzed 7 people off the weak side because I didn't care then you run 20+ yards backwards and throw it out of bounds(I know I have seen somewhere in here where they said you should not do that) One play I saw you sitting in front of my WR and I threw it his way just for fun to see if I could jump up and get it(pick 6)

Also you sit there and move your LB so that he comes thur untouched that sir is a Nano when my OL is getting twisted up and just letting you thur dont try and say it wasnt because I know it was I use to run them all the time in 11 last year and it almost got me kicked out

Running backwards 20+ yards and throwing it out of bounds and nanoing is a lot worse than me doing one QB sneak that I didn't know was still baned now that its fixed

Did somebody have a bad day? You sound like a little school girl who just got her period for the first time!
Fixed it
Take it however you want buddy, but don't come in here popping off and think i won't call you out. I have way too much time on my hands.

Same here for the next few days!

Thank you for saying what he did Tanabeo, if you said that in the first place I wouldn't have said anything. As far as I know (I've played for 1 3/4 seasons) the 20 yard run back to throw out of bounds is not illegal. If it is how is the brand new first game player supposed to know, if I don't even know.

QB sneaks is on the OP

You came in here and insulted a brand new player for no reason.
You started this.

Widdow, me and you are on a whole different discussion level right now. Cut it out

Nanos are also not in the OP so can I just run them non-stop if so I might have a chance againts NO this year when I can have him sacked before he can even get out of this 3 step drop

Well how can we expect brand new players to know all this stuff?

We need a new player newsletter.

San Francisco beat up on the Seahawks for the 5th straight time. SF's LBs are too fast so I had to abandon the run a lot earlier than I had hoped. Seattle would've had a 10-3 lead going into half time if it wasn't for Edwards beasting two guys and marching into the endzone.

After playing Cru this many times I've got to give the rushing title to him. Like I told him, I held the #1 run defense title for the entire season until he dropped me to 9th in two games. Sorry Doom but Cru has the edge in my opinion.

GG Cru, I will beat you someday :)

You can stop right there.

I'm really getting sick of LV and his crew jumping on these types of things. Listen, if anyone has an issue with how someone is playing we have two commissioners here that can deal with it. We don't need you guys trying to police things and insulting other members.
