I played my last game with a torn muscle in my lower back, got it done but it was not pleasant...and you def. don't want to rush shit with your fingers, if you mess up the nerves in your hand that will definitely suck.

lol u guys sound so funny... ahh im hurting on the couch playing madden... at least bv needs his hand... a back muscle and u cant play madden.... yest the giants te ballard try running on that sprained knee just to get back in and busted his ass lol....thats dedication
I remember when I broke my finger in a facemask and I had to get a cast and I still played madden. lol
Really depends on which finger I guess. This is the thumb and pointer on my right hand, kind of vital for the whole video game controller thing. The brace I've got it in right now I can't even reach the buttons, so I'd need to take it off to even attempt to play.

Madden needs a Kinect version....

Only Week 9, but this Dolphins-Jets matchup in 8 minutes will likely have major implications down the line as these Wildcard spots are sorted out. Not to say that neither of us can fight for the AFC East (especially with BV's injury coming into play haha), BUT with the Chargers doing well so far and Doom's Chiefs always in the mix, it could be a tight race for those 2 final playoff spots. Not to mention a tough Steeler team looking on from the outside right now.

As for the AFC East, a W here for the Jets could go a long way in a potential tie breaker vs the Pats. If another AFC East team pulls out a win over the Pats this season and the Jets can win their final matchup vs the Bills, the Jets would have the tie breaker between the two teams if it came down to it.

A lot of ifs and different scenarios, but this game is fairly big this early in the season between 2nd and 3rd place teams in the AFC East!

Let's not forget the probable scenario where Denver reels off 9 straight wins to take the AFC West! ;)

And the Jets choke away the (chances of a) AFC East title 3 years running. Pathetic.

It's hard to say the D blew this one while only giving up 13 points, but they really dropped the ball when it mattered most. Plenty of time in the 4th and they couldn't get the Dolphins off the field. Of course, if the running game was able to put up more than 10 points we wouldn't be talking about this.

Tear a back muscle in your lower back and talk to me sprice..hurts to sit, stand, move, and lay down in general.

jags fall to titans in a heartbreaker

with a fumble on the 1 yard line on a long pass for a much needed TD but no luck
and the titans caught a bobbled pass that got bobbled around for a good 5 seconds between like 6 players insane game to much to write about but it was fun and a great game better than wut the score looked but either way
GG Bseti going to be even closer next game bro

hope madden doesnt cheat for u next time ;) haha

You might feel differently if I posted a picture of my Andre the Giant-sized thumb. ;)

Seriously though, it's only a 2-game lead at this point. Way too early to be giving up the race.

I PMed sprice about Broncos-Bills (as per the OP), any other steps I should take, since he's not on CAG? Bear in mind I'm not in a position to send an XBL message, haha.

Week 9: Jets @ Dolphins

Dolphins: 13
Jets: 10

Jets Defense: 1 Sack,1 Forced Fumble
Jets Offense: 126 Yards Passing, 1 TD / 81 Rushing Yards

Miami's Defense: 3 Sacks, 1 Interception
Miami's Offense: 110 Yards Passing, 1 TD / 108 Yards Rushing

Quick Game Summary:

1st Quarter Dolphins Punt. Jets Drive down the field to the Miami 41.

2nd Quarter: 42 Yard Field Goal by the Jets. Miami Moved down the field to the NYJ 20 and hit a 37 Yard Field Goal. With 1:27 left in the quarter, Mark Sanchez throws a 44 Yard Interception to Vontae Davis which he returns to the NYJ 16.

Another Awesome Goalline stand by the Jets Defense leads to a 29 Yard Field Goal

Dolphins lead 6-3 going into the half.

3rd Quarter witnessed the Jets coming out trying to stick it to the Dolphins with a 63 yard Pass to D. Keller for a Touchdown with 4:09 left in the 3rd.

Jets up 10-6

Dolphins respond with a 3 yard TD to A. Bolton with 2:13 left in the quarter.

Dolphins up 13-10

Jets get the ball back on the kickoff at their own 16 yard line. Dolphins get 2 big sacks to knock the Jets to a 3rd and 29 from their own 8 yard line. Low and behold Sanchez hits D. Keller for a 43 yard gain with 1:22 left in the 3rd. The Jets move the ball all the way down to the miami yard line to end out the quarter.

4th Quarter rolls around with the Jets on the Miami 32 yard line, with a 3rd and 8. Jets attempt to pass and Sanchez get sacked for a 13 yard loss. Dolphins are hoping and praying that this knocks them out of field goal Range....
Jets now see a 4th and 22 at the miami 45 with 4:37 left in the game... They decide to punt and get a beautiful punt to the miami 5 yard line.
Dolphins now amazingly (i'll leave the specifics out) manage to get 4 straight 1st Downs and take 2 kneels to end out the game at the NYJ 44.

Freaking GG uber...had me on the edge of my seat the whole game...you had some incredible Goalline stands man.

I wouldn't say I'm giving up, just pulling back expectations. Before this loss, I felt pretty good about where things stood given the tie breakers. I still plan on going strong and securing a playoff spot this year, but today's loss was a blow to my AFC East Champ hopes.

GG indeed. As I said, the close ones are always hard to lose. My D gave up a few too many big plays for my liking, but they did clamp down at the goal line. The fact that I was in FG range early in the 4th and got myself sacked out of it was brutal. If I saw that coming I would have played it conservative and ran the ball. It wasn't the end of the world though, and I had the time to get the ball back but just couldn't do it.

It's been that way all season for me. If you take out Week 1, I haven't won or lost a game by more than 7 points. I think I'm +8 in Points Scored/Points Against if you take out the 56 points I scored in that game.

Between my slow and steady run game and my D, these have mostly been low scoring games. I did have some success chucking the ball today, but even when I was making safe throws I was still able to throw an INT in fairly limited action.

I'm the same way, close game-wise. Except for MA destroying me by 30 in week 1, I've won or lost by 9 points or less. My games just turn out to be shootouts with my poor defensive play instead of low-scoring, grind-it-out games. It does get somewhat frustrating.

Linsanity!!!

(After tonight's UConn loss I think all my rooting efforts are going into the Knicks. I'm certainly not holding my breath for the baseball season. Though I'm excited about the fantasy baseball aspect of it)

Cardinals 20 - Bears 17

Don't count em out yet boys.

Great game Mog, I got lucky on a few of your dropped interceptions early on. Decided not to pass much after those. That forced fumble was huge for me, after that first Forte TD run I was shook, but that fumble gave me enough time and momentum to pull out a win.

yea good game u came to play. you came in with a good game plan to milk the clock from the 1st quarter and it put pressure on me to try and score fast to get you to speed the game up but the turnovers hurt me trying to do so
now that the final unbeaten team has lost when will the only team without a win get a win lol
Bills - 7

DENVER, CO

Broncos defense surprising heroes in dismantling of Buffalo

After a three week hiatus (caused by, let's call it dehydration) this beat reporter is back to recap the Denver Broncos' season once more. A three game losing skid caused the fans to despair and the front office to fire the coordinator of their woeful defense that ranks in the bottom six of many important statistical categories. However, the former defensive backs coach made sure his guys were ready to give it their all for his big debut. After forcing a punt, the Broncos marched down and kicked a field goal. Following another Bills punt, the Denver offense, largely run-heavy thus far, swung the momentum with a huge play. First play after the punt, Tebow faked a handoff and launched one deep for Brandon Lloyd. The ball hung in the air, crowd holding their breath. Lloyd grabs it, tip toes at the back of the end zone, and is shoved out. The referee casually strolled over, and lifted his arms up. Touchdown. The crowd roared as Denver's defense came back on the field, playing focused, determined football. Sharper with a pick. Then Tebow, who played the game manager role in this one, hit his favorite target, Aaron Hernandez for a 7 yard score. Next Bills possession, the pass is picked off by Quinton Carter, and he takes it back to the house. One more pick before the half by trade acquisition Chris Owens set up a 3 yard touchdown for workhorse of the game, Knowshon Moreno. Another Owens pick and some garbage time scores later, the Broncos were on the right side of a QB Kneel for the first time in four weeks, and it was by doing everything they thought they could do this season.
STATS -
Broncos:
Tim Tebow - 9-16, 167 yds, 2 TDs, INT
Knowshon Moreno - 25 carries, 123 yds, TD
Aaron Hernandez - 5 rec, 83 yds, TD
DEFENSE - 4 INTs, 7 TFLs, 2 sacks, TD

Bills:
Ryan Fitzpatrick - 3-14, 96 yds, TD 4 INTs
C.J. Spiller - 11 carries, 23 yds
Jonathon Hammonds - 3 rec, 96 yds

It was nice to win one again, and I finally made some plays on defense. Still gave up a stupid 77 yard touchdown, but it's baby steps right now, lol. Thanks for the game, ravenchamps. Appreciate you hanging in there.

Ravens/Eagles scheduled for 4 p.m. EST on Wednesday. Looking to bounce back from a tough sim loss.........

Lost Terrell Suggs in my sim too, just for this game though.

Titans workin to turn the ship around.gg dvo, ur first half turnovers killed you. I watched the replay of that britt catch just before half. It was tippped by ur guy, then tipped by britt, the tipped by 4 other jaguars, then caught by britt. That's madden12 for ya. And that strip at the 1 was the play of the game, that's why I traded for adriaan wilson. Big game with the texans comin up, week seems to be movin fairly quick, can't wait
hopefully not after we advance lol u play me
with megatron in ur back pocket i dont think u have anything to worry about but i hope for a good game atleast

Anyone know of a good method of contacting the Falcons owner, other than PM? I have not heard back from them and want to try to get something set up before it gets too late.

I am hoping to get up to .500, so I really need this win. If I want a shot at the playoffs, I need to go 7-2, so cannot afford many more losses. My offense just has not been up to snuff so far in this league and has to drastically improve for that to even be a remote possibility. I also doubt that I will be able to continue as the #3 defense in overall yards and #2 against the run, so other aspects of our game need to step it up.

I got the word out that your looking for him, if you don't hear from him today post it and I'll try a little harder.

Edit: Talked to his buddy, so he should be getting back in touch with you.
Meh, I just want the playoffs to be here.
Some of us will have to do lots of work to get there. I think the Cardinals playoffs started this last game. Might have to win out and definately will have beat Cru twice and Ninja once to keep it rolling.. Should be fun.
is there anyone quiting after this season besides tanabo?
He said he's staying. If he hadn't we wouldn't have allowed him to trade a draft pick.

I don't believe anybody else has announced this is their last season.

Guys, sorry I haven't been around. I finished moving on Saturday and Verizon was supposed to arrive to hook up Fios on that same day. However, they just now got it set up, so the Packers are back and I will be available.

Wooooeeee, just saw the Patriots opponents for next year, lovin it!

We get to play the dreaded NFC West and AFC North!

If the Jets, Miami and Bills can fall in line and stay bad, were already in the playoffs!

49ers, Ravens and Texans would be the few notable tough opponents.

And another Tebow time game, hahahaha cannot wait!

With football over I'm finally gonna try and commit to watching a few Celtics games a week, and I'll try and fit in a Bruin game or two. But thats ambitious.

Can't even think about the Sox right now.
Yeah what about basketball mode? They've been playing better.
As soon as the NBA cancelled games, I resolved to basically not give a crap about this season. And with UConn playing at sub-"5 Strangers at the Y" levels, I'm basically skipping basketball entirely.
Does anyone know who the cowboys play this week? I don't have access to my x box and would like to send my opponent a PM.
Zurezo's Steelers

-------
I seriously need to start following UNLV, people love them out here and from what I can tell it'll be a good year for them.

Any thoughts college basketball viewers?
