Broncos defense surprising heroes in dismantling of Buffalo
After a three week hiatus (caused by, let's call it dehydration) this beat reporter is back to recap the Denver Broncos' season once more. A three game losing skid caused the fans to despair and the front office to fire the coordinator of their woeful defense that ranks in the bottom six of many important statistical categories. However, the former defensive backs coach made sure his guys were ready to give it their all for his big debut. After forcing a punt, the Broncos marched down and kicked a field goal. Following another Bills punt, the Denver offense, largely run-heavy thus far, swung the momentum with a huge play. First play after the punt, Tebow faked a handoff and launched one deep for Brandon Lloyd. The ball hung in the air, crowd holding their breath. Lloyd grabs it, tip toes at the back of the end zone, and is shoved out. The referee casually strolled over, and lifted his arms up. Touchdown. The crowd roared as Denver's defense came back on the field, playing focused, determined football. Sharper with a pick. Then Tebow, who played the game manager role in this one, hit his favorite target, Aaron Hernandez for a 7 yard score. Next Bills possession, the pass is picked off by Quinton Carter, and he takes it back to the house. One more pick before the half by trade acquisition Chris Owens set up a 3 yard touchdown for workhorse of the game, Knowshon Moreno. Another Owens pick and some garbage time scores later, the Broncos were on the right side of a QB Kneel for the first time in four weeks, and it was by doing everything they thought they could do this season.

It was nice to win one again, and I finally made some plays on defense. Still gave up a stupid 77 yard touchdown, but it's baby steps right now, lol. Thanks for the game, ravenchamps. Appreciate you hanging in there.
