Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!
Is your team missing players?
I am only missing the 3 I did with the cut and trade, or who I lost to free agency. I have 35 players on my team now...
Oh looks like it doesn't matter cause my team is fucked. I got 1.73m cap room and 3 free agent players wanting around 15m total. I got 26m cap penalty, this totally sucks.

EDIT: I just cut 2 guys and I have 6.78m cap room now.
Thats alot how.many guys did u cut or trade with a big bonua
I just cut 2 guys who had no bonus which is why i cut them. I traded AP and Harvin. AP I cut though.
The cap penalty would have been there even if you'd traded him. Take a look and see if you're able to make room for those guys, since you will have exclusive rights to them.

I figured as much, was just putting all the info out there. It just seems crazy I have almost no money. I think I have enough room to resign those players now. I hope I can come out really well in the draft...
Are we assuming that guys who were cut/traded don't show up during the original re-sign period?
Definitely not. Both of the guys on my team who were traded via cut-and-sign showed up and I was able to re-sign them.

Fero's got a pretty good handle on what's going on, so I'll let him explain it. We're still working him out, but the list of protected players probably won't be too much larger than the list I originally posted.

I noticed the Seahawks, Browns, Patriots had offers out. One of them is my "protected" players, I think the Browns, are they CPU controlled?

Well after looking right now i have 7.85 rookie reserve cap and another 7 mil regular cap space so 14 mill sounds good plus i will frew up more cap space if the roddy white trade goes thru
Signing the rookies will pretty much take up the rest of my cash.
Rookies don't count against your cap number. The game holds cash specifically for them.

browns and assuming jags if redworm is still quiting are cpu... seattle and new england are plaher controlled

My second gamertag owns the Browns right now, we are working on a solution for that as well.

I think we should let the browns do as they want because there roster is terrible we will never find another owner for them...btw did Peyton retire?

We definitely want to let them sign guys, the only issue is they'll also try to sign whoever is on our restricted list. We'll figure out a workaround for that.

Didn't you have a friend who wanted to take over a team? What happened to that?

And yes, he seems to have. Definitely sucks.

I don't but he is having trouble signing up with the thread....but he is ready to go....I could schedule his games kind of similar to how sprice did in madden 12
What kind of trouble?
He registered and it takes 48 hr before you can post so he didn't activate the account through the email link and now it has expired...I can ask him to make another one but I think its too complicated for him lol

Sounds like a great player for the league.
Sounds like a great player for the league.
lol just because hes cpu retarded doesnt mean he would be a bad league player.... my step bro helped out last yr and had a blast and did okay in the league
Sounds like a great player for the league.
Well anyways........ bv he is an option ill ask him to make another one while we are in the off-season

Thanks sprice

I know there's a lot of questions about the free agency and stuff. And I don't want to be annoying but I'm trying to plan out who I'm going to aim for in free agency, BV is it safe to assume my trades will be reviewed before we advance past week 1 of free agency.

Edit: trades can be put through in this stage. I know someone asked about that earlier.

Does it happen immediately? I need to free up some cap room.

With that said, I have an offer on Bart Scott for a late round pick. If someone has cap room to spare, needs a MLB, and is willing to part with a late pick, hit me up. If the current offer falls through I'm looking to move on this quickly. I only have until tonight to move him and make FA offers so hopefully this is all worked out before I pass out.

I'm guessing it would work the same way it works in the regular season. You'd both probably would have to be online.
And is there no way to view the attributes of free agents?
Yeo. No way that I have found. All you can see is the overall.

just an idea since we have to usually wait to advance for trades to go thru and all in the real nfl it would happen pretty much right then and there if we could fill the roster we could advance since there are 3 stages of FA and then once people are done with trade and free up the cap space then we go into FA frenzy. thats just my idea from a none bias perspective since im not really interested in FA other than to just fill a few spots for depth not really looking for a monster to make the team
I'd love to be put on the waiting list.

CAG username: slofton
XBL gamertag: IceBoundToast
looks like we might have a browns owner

New trade up for review...

Jets trade Bart Scott for Chiefs 4th rounder.

Bart Scott MLB, 33, 87 OVR, 8.98 Million, 2 years left

Salary dump!

You're free to start making offers to FA, there is a list of about 15-20 players who are off limits for offers. Fero will be posting that, along with the rest of the details, shortly. Thanks for your patience!

any chance of us having a browns owner before we advance

EDIT: also really wish we could look at the players ratings
any chance of us having a browns owner before we advance
Yes. Though we're pretty sure it's going to be impossible to withdraw the offers that the CPU already made. Ditto with the Seahawks (who were still on auto). Staticz took over the Browns as a placeholder and was apparently unable to withdraw the offers. Hopefully it doesn't cause too much chaos.
if hes on the browns then who is on the chiefs? or did he switch back
2nd account

And next time maybe I should scroll up before I post :)

Champ Bailey is on the block. 91 OVR, 95 man, 86 zone, 95 play recognition, 87 press, 77 catch, 91 speed.

I'm especially interested in moving back into the first round or in help along the O-line. Perhaps a WR. PM me with interest/offers.

Alright Guys. I've literally spent 3-4 hours(probably More) on this Today.

I've got a 555 Row Spreadsheet with All Free Agent's Over 65 OVR.

I've gone through the Majority of these Guys and Gathered The Following Information From Each One:

Player / Last Team / Free Agent Status / Contract
Jermon Bushrod / Saints / 2013 UnRestricted / 2 Years 9.8m

What I've come to the conclusion is that 70-80% Of the People in the Free Agent Pool are just unrestricted Free Agents that Had one of the following Factors Happen to them:

A) They Didn't feel like resigning with your team, And this is why you didnt see an Offer Page before the Offseason
B) People Didn't Log on to their Xbox and Manage their Re-Signings, as as such, the CPU Handled it.
C) CPU Handled Resignings for Browns, & Other Teams that didn't get around to it.
D) Teams Didn't have an opportunity to Resign after Trades..

Many Have Said "Why didn't i get a chance to offer him a sheet???"

That's Because only 20 or 30 players on my entire list are 2013 RESTRICTED Free Agents. If this was the case, you absolutely would have gotten first choice.

UnRestricted Free Agents are Open Game to ANYONE to give them a contract.

Yes, It's EA's Fault for not allowing some of us to resign players that we've Traded For.

Anyways....Moving on... Time to Have Some Fun!

The Following Players Can NOT be Signed by Anyone Except for the Team Listed Next to the Appropriate Players.

Brandon Weeden (Chiefs)
Greg Orton (Chiefs)
Ricky Stanzi (Jets)
Dexter McCluster (Broncos)
Mark Sanchez (Broncos)
Adrian Peterson (Giants)
Brancon Fusco (Giants)
Chris Snee (Vikings)
Kenny Phillips (Vikings)
Prince Amukamara (Vikings)
Michael Bennett (Cardinals)
Quentin Groves (Bucs)
Jamell Fleming (Bucs)

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (49ers)
Louis Delmas (Redskins)
Ty Warren (Broncos)

As for the Rest Of the Players. It's Balls to the Walls Boys!

If their are any exceptions to this list, the Commissioners will vote to Approve/Disapprove your Validity of your Claim to a certain Player. Mind you, I've spent most of the day seeing who is restricted and who is unrestricted, and who you just made a shitty offer to;)

IF, And only if the couple of offers that the seahawks/browns have made get ACCEPTED, we will trade them to the appropriate team.

There's Some Juicy Fish in that their Sea.

Go Get them!

Deadline will be Saturday at 2pm Est.
