Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!
What? It's a big game!

Plus, I'm dying to see if he can back up his smack talk. :D
i know im just playing.

Yeah that's not going to happen
I'm definitely not saying it's just you, I know not everyone plays Madden the same way and as long as they're within the rules I'm fine with it. I know not everyone enjoys putting up the middling/realistic stats like I do, and that's fine. I'm just explaining why people have been scoffing at it a bit, especially as you've been talking up his achievements.
For what its worth, I'm with you on the stats. This league has Platt, Foster, and AP with ridiculous numbers and in the other league Troy had a rookie guy with 30 sacks by week 9, a rookie WR with numbers similar to Platt's, Chris Johnson had ridiculous rushing numbers last year, etc. Personally that stuff drives me nuts as I like stats that are somewhat believable for an NFL season.

Of course, I'm also someone in favor of bringing the trade cap back, so that makes me even more unpopular here

If we're going to put statistical realism under the microscope, these blockbuster trades need to be right up there with them.

Foster can be stopped. Ask bv or bseti

Maybe we should just kick you out
Whatever, "maddendaddy", whatever.
Hah! I've been behind the Bills by a number of spots all season and we've had the same record and I beat him twice so, who knows what that takes into consideration. Not h2h.

Yea but I feel like there are other needs to be addressed then to go after Tavon Austin. And plus Tavon wants to come home to the Ravens lol. Geno I feel like he can play from what I seen in the combine. I'll see more after his pro day

Alex Smith never threw over 20 TDs in a season until Jim took over as coach which is a lil sad but I hope things turn out different

They're already under the microscope. There's a whole committee for it. You're on it. ;)

No one's saying it's bad, it's just an unfortunate reality in Madden. Those of us who prefer realistic stats can't really do anything to change it, so at least let us be smug about it. :D

I thought Alex smith was a good acquire for kc..draft joeckel sign bowe or sign bowe and Albert trade the first rd pick..they're def in a good position because they can't lose out

Tavon wont go that late in the draft the ravens would have to trade up which they wont becuz of there cap issue plus flacco is being stingy being a me first player instead of a team player. he will doom that team with his huge contract that he wants. tavon will be gone in the top 10.

if the chiefs had austin bowe charles and if smith can be consistent that offense will be very explosive

I can't see the Chiefs drafting Austin #1. He is too small.

Bucs play big after there loss last week.

Bucs 42 Cheifs 14

Freeman Perfect QBR 158.3 288 yards 4 TD
Hill 146 yards 1 TD
White 99 yards 3 TD
Shields got the only INT of the game.

Not much through the air in this one for the cheifs with 1 Comp
Charles and Davis on the other hand had 190 yards and 2 TD together
Hali with 2 sacks

GG Staicz

Highlights soon. I don't understand this game. I have 3 of the top 10 CBs in this league and Bucs players run right past them or get positioning every time. Charles has a 99 carry and fucking fumbles once a game.

Freeman gets crushed and throws a perfect bomb for a TD, so stupid. Pretty much what I expected though.

After stumbling last week against the 49ers, Arizona got back on track with a division win over St. Louis, 30-7. Offensively, Arizona was led by Doug Martin and his 3 touchdown performance. Once again this season, the big story was Patrick Peterson. However, it was not for the usual reasons, this was the first of 6 weeks Arizona will be without Peterson due to an ankle injury. In Peterson's absence, the secondary performed admirably. Demarcus Van Dyke and Brice Mccain each grabbed interceptions and help hold St. Louis receivers to only 3 receptions for 30 yards. GG Droppin
 • Offensive Player Of The Game: Arizona's RB, Doug Martin- Martin started the game off with a dominating first drive and continued to play well throughout the game. Whenever the offense would start to stall, Martin's steady play kept the offense moving. STATS- 15 carries for 108 yard and 3 touchdowns.
 • Defensive Player Of The Game: Arizona's CB, Brice Mccain- This award should go to the entire secondary. It seemed every one stepped up. The secondary finished with 3 interceptions and 1 forced fumble. However, out of the secondary Mccain did have the biggest game and also proved he can be solid in Peterson absence. STATS- 0 catches allowed and 2 interceptions.

Cowboys fall to the skins 48-7.

Games like this are why I am kicking the idea around of not coming back for another season. Kind of getting burned out, and being down 41-7 and seeing man still throwing the ball all over the field, eventually getting to the goal line, then throwing it in the endzone for a TD with a 1:17 left in the game to make it 48-7 doesn't help either.

I don't think Tavon will go in the top 10 honestly they projected him to go at the end of the first round But u never know what's really going ao happen and Joe deserves what ever he gets honestly because he proved every year he is a player

he deserves it but being selfish isnt going to help his team get back to the super bowl he doesnt need 20 million a year he could do 12 million and keep alot of surrounding talent around him. people remember u for superbowls not how much u use to make

Umm what?

Yeah, that's going to be a strike. Feel fortunate it is not an insta-ban. Man, if you ever do that again you are gone.
Only game left is Jags-Raiders. Any word on when that's going down?
Sorry, I was busy yesterday, and lazy when I wasn't busy. I messaged him on XBL on Tuesday. I have just now messaged him on CAG. I am around most of the afternoon, so hopefully we can work something out!

I vote for 2 strikes. That's ridiculous.

Please keep us updated! I'm scheduling my game for tonight as Chetty is out of town.

I agree that a strike alone seems insufficient. How about this:
Hey guy is it ok for ramesu to sub for me I will be out of town from march 1-9th going on a road trip !!!
Request denied
. Ramesu is too much better than you are (as the records indicate) for this to be a reasonable sub. If you can find someone at a more comparable level to sub for you, fine, but otherwise you'll just have to miss those games. We were leaning this way anyway, but the crap from last night made it a very easy decision.

Looks like he hasn't been on CAG in a couple of days, so hopefully he gets on and you guys can find a time.

Hey guys, I know it's a meaningless award, but I've once again put us forward for the Cheapy award for the best non-deal thread on CAG. I truly do think this (along with the Gentlemen's League) are the best community on this site. We've been nominated the last two years but lost in the final voting, hopefully this year we can get over the hump.

If you have a moment at some point, feel free to drop by the nomination thread and put a word in:
Just heard back from Tanabeo! He gets home around 6p EST, so I offered 6:15 or 6:30. Hopefully it will go down around then.
Thanks. Look for us to advance around 7:30 or so then, go ahead and start setting up those Week 12 games.
Charles has a 99 carry and fucking fumbles once a game.
Uber and I were just talking about this earlier. This is purely anecdotal, but in my experience high carry is much more effective in guarding against strips than it is against hit stick induced fumbles. I have Charles with 99 carry in the fantasy league, and he'll never get stripped but if gets lit up he'll still fumble. McFadden does the same thing, and he also has high carry.

I know it's instinct to try to milk every last yard, but recently I've been trying to cover the ball more when I see the big hit coming rather than trying to juke or spin. Plus, the sideline is always your friend. That Charles fumble in the highlights actually looked like bad luck that it didn't bounce out of bounds instead.

I always keep an eye on my RB's stamina too. If my feature back is in the yellow, he is sitting. It helps that he has 99 speed, and as I mentioned to BV I tend to get dragged down versus getting lit up because he is typically able to turn those corners. So between those two things and a 90+ carry, I've been lucky so far. The consistency rating probably helps somewhat here as well.

I sit him quite a bit as well. The fumble thing is annoying and I think it is a result of the physics engine. Charles is small so he should fumble once in awhile, I was more irritated because it totally changed the game.

Also, BV I totally feel you on your loss to me. I basically torched the Bucs defense for the first half and drove 80ish yards to score on both of my drives. What does he do....scores on one play after both drives. After that Charles fumbled and I was pretty much done, I knew I wasn't going to be able to keep up with him once he got ahead.

yeh in that fumble i think stamina played a big part. If they are really tired witch im guessing he was with how much he was running and a big hit happens i have found they will fumble it a lot more then normal.

He wasn't. Charles isn't in the game if he is in the yellow.

Yup.

Raiders vs Jaguars going down at 6:15p EST.

Edit: This post is just confirming what I said earlier. I hadn't heard back from him yet, and now I have.
