Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!
Ouch, that sucks... Please tell me that wasn't before playing me. ;)

If he'd gone anywhere else I'd agree, but I have a feeling Manning will be able to get the most out of him. With Thomas and Decker outside and Welker in the slot, that is a seriously dangerous passing attack.

That said, I'm not worried that Brady is going to be lost without him. Brady made Welker a star, not the other way around.
It was after our game lol
Asomugha possibly to the 49ers
Ed Reed meeting with dem Texans

Also, this is awesome.

i would agree with this as well. Also with DRC going to Denver they will probably be one of the most used online teams with the new Madden.

Slow day in the Madden league...

One small order of business. With the departure of Mr. Doom we'll be looking to fill at least one spot on the trade committee. Potentially two, if ubernes ends up leaving as well. I'll be accepting nominations and then hopefully we'll fill the position before the offseason.

Also we'll be more seriously looking to fill these open teams. Right now it's the Chargers and Steelers, but potentially the Jets as well. Deuce will be taking over the Houston Fosters.

Also, if anybody else is intending to leave after this season, please let me know ASAP.

I think I will be staying for one more season. I am invested in making Super Soldier 2.0 as I slowly raise MJD's speed. Should be a good year for the Jags!
Looks like KC has something to look forward to..good grab!
If by "something" you mean Sean Smith who averaged 1.25 interceptions in 4 seasons.

Sure. That's something to look forward to.

6"3, incredible jumping ability.....I'm sad to see him go because of his man/press, but dude, learn to catch the ball, seriously. More drops than anyone on my team.

Plus Reid made DRC and Namndi look like shit

the chiefs should be interesting team to watch during the regular season. im curious to know if there moves will work or not. but i think the broncos will still run that division by far. i think the broncos have had the best off season so far of any team. im wondering what my cowboys are going to look like next year more than likely garbage. but im hoping victor cruz leaves that team and RGIII cant play at the start of the season he can come back around week 6 or 7.

Agreed, I see no reason the Broncos won't roll to that division again. Ditto for the Patriots. The Dolphins have improved, but the Jets and Bills look to continue to be hot messes.

afc west - broncos
afc east- pats
afc north- bengals
afc south- texans

nfc west- 49ers/seahawks
nfc east- toss up between any team
nfc north- packers
nfc south- anyone but the panthers

I nominate one of the Hemingway brothers, Bseti or Ramesu.

Any of the four would be a fine replacement.

I nominate anyone but myself. It's stressful enough just playing the games in this league. I don't envy those of you who have to deal with all the trade hullabaloo.

we'll revisit this prediction when we're at the top of the division and headed to the playoffs

trade committee? interesting..........

It's far less glamorous than it sounds unless your idea of fun is routinely getting 5 or 6 e-mails from me in one day and reading 40,000 word essays on backup corners by MA. :D

As in something I ment a reason to look forward to there season.. I feel they've made solid additions as well as having the 1st overall pick. I do agree he needs to become more of a player maker to add to his shutdown resume

Lolz I thought you guys thoroughly enjoyed my analyses!!! In this game, you even have to look at back-up players closely cause like DVO exemplified earlier, even 4th and 5th string corners can be like 90 man 90 press! Good ole Madden...

Update on our game: Doo Mane's disk tray is stuck and he's trying to fix it, so advance is gonna be delayed :/ Doom is gonna message me when/if he fixes it.

We do! I'm just telling it like it is though.

We Have Advanced.

We're now in the Divisional Round:
Texans @ Bengals
Lions @ Cardinals
Ravens @ Bills
Giants @ Buccaneers

Good Luck to all.

Are we going to get some write-ups....wtf is wrong with you people?

Giants winning = this is what's wrong with Madden. Eli Manning is sitting on the bench as he runs around with a scrub at QB. Joe Webb season stats so far - 131 passing attempts, 109 rushing attempts.

Lmao...Haven't had time honestly. I'll do one soon enough. It was a great game and an improbable victory. Glad it went my way.
I know i was waiting for some write-ups. The Ravens vs Bills game looked like a really good one.
It's already been played? Who won?
keep calm and trust ozzie... lol that sounds like someone that may be a little bit worried ramesu
You don't live in Baltimore. The panic here is off the wall. Lol

I mean, signing one guy to such a massive contract is going to limit what you can do otherwise to a certain degree. They were obviously aware of that when they signed him, so it's safe to assume they have some sort of plan.

Bills 33
Ravens 27 OT

A very well-played game from both teams. Started out as a defensive battle with a pair of special teams errors highligting the early action. On the Ravens' first drive, 4th and 1 from the 49 yard line, coach Mog tried a fake punt and very nearly got it.
After the failed attempt Buffalo was able to drive into FG range only to have the 46 yard attempt killed by the wind. Both defenses continued to perform in the first half with each team forcing key turnovers, with Baltimore scoring on a pick 6 and Buffalo forcing and recovering a Flacco fumble to go along with a pick.

Going into half, Buffalo led 13-10.

The second half began the Ray Rice show. After effectively slowing a very run-heavy attack in the first half, the Bills had no answer for Rice in the second. The Ravens were dominant for the majority of the second half jumping back on top with 2 unanswered scores to make it 24-13 going into the 4th after a beautifully navigated Ray Rice breakaway TD.

Cameron Czaplewski subsequently got hot and I was able to complete some key throws and have a bit of success with the no huddle to cut the lead to 24-20 (realizing I should've gone for two after that score). The Ravens get it back and proceed to murder the clock and bleed away any chance the Bills seemed to have with some clutch conversions, driving all the way inside the 30 yard line after Buffalo used all its timeouts. The Bills got a clutch stop on 3rd down and forced a FG with 22 seconds to play in the game, down 27-20.

A fair catch of the kickoff left Cameron Czaplewski and the Bills offense with 80+ yards to travel and no timeouts, a TD needed to tie the game. With the Ravens in prevent D on the first couple of downs, CC completed a couple of huge corner routes (and the WR's were able to get out) to cut down on the yardage for the hail-mary. With 10 seconds remaining, CC turned to Avius Allen, who'd already scored twice, for a deep-ball up the left sideline...incomplete. However, Baltimore is called for roughing the passer and breathes life into the Bills chances. With 4 seconds left from barely inside Ravens territory, CJ Spiller beats whomever is the 5th corner for Baltimore to tie the game at 27 and force OT.

On the first play of OT, the Ravens called all-out blitz with no deep help. Devery Henderson cleanly beats Webb off the line and is wide open, Cameron C is crushed as he delivers a perfect pass to Henderson for the game clincher.

Bills move on. Helluva game Mog

Now that is a writeup!

As for the ravens...I'd like to know the plan. Didn't they blow it up after they won the SB last time? Idk Flacco's contract is just too much.

Sounds like Denver is going to lose Dumerville, because of Manning's deal. Good news for the AFC West.

I'd say it's more because of Dumervil's deal itself. As the proud owner of the Madden version of that contract, I'm well acquainted with how ridiculous it is. He's the highest paid player on my team by a good margin. Don't get me wrong, Dumervil's a great player both in real life and in Madden, but the Broncos were drunk when they gave him that much coin.

I'd love to see the Patriots take a run at him if he is released.

Last time, we tried to repeat and had to blow it up the following season. I think Ozzie is clearing all the cap space for 2014 when Lebron is a free agent again.

"Taking my talents to Fells Point" doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

Well your boy Josh McDaniels gave him that contract so he might end up a Patriot!

edit: lol at the LeBron comment. That is going to be interesting. I've read that the Heat are going to have around $100 million in luxury tax if they don't break up the big 3. People keep talking like LBJ would go back to CLE, I just don't see it happening.
Well your boy Josh McDaniels gave him that contract so he might end up a Patriot!
All part of the master plan.
All part of the master plan.
So what is your take on the Welker deal. Were the Pats just tired of him complaining? I don't see Amendola as being an upgrade at all. It's not like they didn't have the money to sign him.

I'm neutral on it, but it's impossible to really evaluate it fully until I see what the offense is going to look like. I think Amendola is capable of being nearly as good as Welker in this offense, and he's also 5 years younger. The Patriots have never been shy in the Belichick error about cutting ties with players, and it's usually worked out well for them overall.

Don't get me wrong, Welker is great and we'll definitely miss him. But there were certain parts of his game I didn't love, most obviously his penchant for dropping passes in key playoff spots.

Along with not re-signing Woodhead, it's clear that they're doing an "undersized white guys" purge of some kind.
I'm obviously not a pats fan but I like edelman... thought he played great when welker got hurt and I'd give him a shot
Edelman is a FA as well. I do hope they bring him back, but I'm beginning to think it's less likely.
