Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!
For a second I read this as Matthew Mulligan and did a double take about why you'd drop a guy I'd been trying to trade for all season. ;)
Haha I should have.
My team is hit or miss man.
An endemic affliction in our division to be sure.
Haha I should have.
But then you wouldn't have my offseason PM to look forward to. :D

Gotta finish the season strong. If I can run the offense I used to run in Houston I should be pretty good to go. Fitzpatrick airing it out aint happening. Finally got back to a tie atop the division.

What's your record ???

As it turns out, fsecreast is NOT going to take the Browns. A couple of people said they've got friends who want to join, right? We're out of waiting list folks for the moment.

By "big boys", I take it you mean people who disappear for long stretches and end up getting replaced after a season or two?

Nope. Not what I mean

Yea sorry guys, I'm moving this weekend and not sure how much time I'm going to have once I'm in the new apartment. I just don't want to join this league then find out I don't have enough time for two leagues and have to back out of this.

I'll let you know next week and hopefully they'll be an opening if I decide to join.

So the Steelers are supposed to play the Browns but since no one has stepped in for the Browns im assuming im just going to play the CPU?

I have a buddy that is willing to take over the browns but he didn't register on CAG yet but I can always get in touch with him

He probably meant people who don't ban players from the league cuz they can't take a playoff loss.

The odds that someone who likes to run a lot would grab the most attractive blocking TE option left available? Pretty good odds. ;)

I had him and who to drop in my head. Checked CAG throughout the day. I finally see it's time for group 3, and the one post is you, taking Pascoe.

So my signing was a little different. I wanted to cut bigby but he is injured for 6 weeks so I moved him to the IR instead. He is in the last year of his contract so he is essentially not a charger anymore.

Chargers:
Signed: Shaun Ellis (DE)
Released: Atari Bigby (SS) - IR until releasable.
Can I mine XP against the computer too? Zurezo went to town ;)
Specifics?

I waited almost 2 hours, you just missed your window. ;)

As much as I hate to drop a fellow UMass grad

Eagles drop

TE - E. Igenauwi

sign

TE - Jeff King (who is only just a lot worse than Pascoe !!)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT
Drop

TE - E. Igenauwi

Sign
TE Tom Crabtree (Had a change of heart, since no one else posted I assume that's okay)

Seriously, Zurezo? You know better than that.

Doom, write those numbers on a post-it and subtract them come postseason awards time.

As for the XP mining, there's really nothing I can do now since I can't dock people XP. Please nobody use the CPU games (or any game for that matter) to do this though. It provides an obvious unfair advantage.

Team: Cowboys
Player Added: Lee Evans (WR)
Player Dropped: Danny Coale (WR)

Took a chance on Evans. Ogletree hasn't been cutting it as my 3rd WR.

Evans might drop a game winning TD though!!
Can't be worse then what I have now ;)
You say that now but if he actually drops a game winning TD, you might change your mind:lol:

My fault. I was just running what madden told me to run and kept scoring. No excuses and wont happen again.

If I get in the position to actually win a game then that would be a huge improvement in itself!

Denver Broncos 24 - Kansas City Chiefs 20

The Broncos faced their second tough division matchup and once again passed the test, albeit by a much more slender margin this time. This was an odd game insofar as it was a defensive struggle which hinged on huge plays where there was a defensive breakdown, including a couple long TDs by Charles, a bomb to Thomas, and a punt return TD by former Chief McCluster.

Brock Osweiler didn't throw much, going 6 of 8 for 128 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.

Brandon Weeden couldn't find much all day, going 3 for 11 for 45 yards, no TDs or picks. His receivers also dropped a bunch of passes (some due to Denver pressure, some not).

McFadden carried 18 times for 132 yards and a TD.

Charles carried 14 times for 177 yards and 2 TDs.

Demaryius Thomas was only targeted twice all game, once it was a pick and the second time it was an 80 yard TD for his only catch.

Bowe lead the Chiefs with one catch for 26 yards.

Justin Bannan had the only sack for a Broncos team that pretty much rushed just 3 all game. McCluster had the big play returning a punt for a TD (which caused the Chiefs to kick the next one short out of bounds, giving the Broncos a short field for a FG to make it 17-10 at the time).

Javier Arenas had the game's lone turnover on a pick.

gg staticz! Very evenly matched as I expected, glad I was able to emerge on top!

Broncos move to 7-4, still looking to wrap up the division early so I don't have to worry about losing it when I'm away on vacation.

Yeah gg man. I was pissed on that pass to Thomas. It was a FS blitz and Lewis had a clear shot at the QB but decided to tackle the LT instead :hot:

Charles passed the 1,000 yard mark which I was happy about, especially after starting out so slowly with him.

Only other thing that really ticked me off was the drops. It was a great game though, just came out on the wrong side this time.

EDIT: Also, my defense appears to play like the Bucs. Everytime you kneeled Osweiler ate dirt :D

Was waiting the whole game to do that. I was beginning to think you'd never gamble in coverage all game and I was going to have to content myself with running 30 times. :D

lol. Don't worry, I knew it wasn't deliberate. I was laughing about it too, I even considered putting in Sanchez for the last knee.

My favorite play was the final run by McFadden to seal the game. You totally had it blown up for a 5-yard loss (I probably went to that play a few too many times if I'm honest) but he reversed field and ran all the way back and around the backside pursuit in the process. He be fast.
