The best news about my off season so far is that my WR core is amazing and set up great for the next 4 years just need to resign julio

Browns Receive:
2014 2nd round pick- 62nd overall
2014 3rd round pick- 79th overall
2015 5th round pick

I never officially accepted this trade so it should not be reviewed quite yet. I have also been told by a few people I am getting the bad side of the trade so if I were to make this deal, it would have to be improved.

Wow what a fucking douche move. I have the p.m where you said "yeah that's good to go, can you post it." And the "people" you are hearing this from is me, saying I'd be willing to give more if its denied. Seriously, one of the douchiest things I've seen anyone try to pull.

Yes that is good to go. Can you post it.

That's the PM you sent me. The worst part about this, is that you wanted a first. I said no and then you proposed that trade to me. I sent you back to you with the official picks and then you said to post it. Just fucking pathetic.

Did not realize that a PM is the ultimate word here. Do you not have to get both managers to accept the trade on the league page?

I am new to the league and you knew you were ripping me off. What does that say about your supposed character? It's a madden league and its not like we shook on a trade.

My apologies, I was not a aware that only one manager had to post a trade for it to be reviewed. That is news to me and it will help me going forward. I apologize for any confusion this caused. With that said, I have been told the trade will not pass anyway.
Ripping you off? I accepted the trade offer you sent to me? Remember that?
I have yet to make a trade in this league. I am still getting used to trade values. You knew there would be a strong likelihood that the trade would not be passed but you put it through anyway. Whatever, what is done is done.

Its funny how that this became a problem after I told you that the trade was tied 2-2 and that if it got declined I'd increase my offer to a third in next years draft instead of a fifth. Funny how that worked.

Love when people get called out on their bullshit and they just reach at everything aand anything.
So our deal is dead Chetty. Care to make a better offer?
It was never declined, its still being voted on and if it is declined then I'm good without trading with you.

Been told it will not be passed. Not sure why you are still holding out hope. I see we are very bitter, that's cool bro.

That's fine with me, I didn't need that trade to go through. I'm sure my top defense will survive without him.

Trade Rejected

If a trade is posted in the thread, it is assumed that it has been agreed to by both parties. It doesn't matter who posts it. It certainly looks like it was agreed to in this case, so I don't see what the issue was.

Anyway, the committee felt the Browns were not getting enough for Rubin.

I just want you guys to know that I think my eyes literally glazed over as I was reading this. This might be the best example of a "here's some busywork for the committee" deal I've ever seen. :wall:
Trade Alert:

Titans 2015 1st rd pick & 2014 6th rd (175) overall

For

Vikings 1st rd pick (29) overall
Trade Rejected

This one took some thought, but ultimately the result was that a 6th round pick wasn't enough to move forward a year in the draft, even if the 2015 pick is likely to be higher.

Looking at real-life examples of teams punting 1st rounders into the next year (Bill Belichick is the master of this) the return is always higher than this.
Have any of you drafted on the site before? I might be stuck doing it tomorrow.

If yes, how painful was it?
I could be wrong, but I didn't think you were able to do it this year. I know you could in Madden 12, but I was under the impression they'd removed it. Was anyone able to draft that way last time?

You are not wrong. uber found this out in our last draft. Yet another feature that EA removed.

Trade for Review:

Vikings Recieve:
Antonio Cromartie CB - 89 overall (age 30) Set to make $8 mil
Nate Clements CB - 84 overall (age 34) Set to make between $4-5 mil
Jared Gaither LT - 77 overall (age 28) Set to make between $4-5 mil

For

Chargers Recieve:
Kenny Phillips SS - 87 overall (age 27) Set to make between $4-5 mil
Matt Kalil LT - 80 overall (age 24) Set to make $2.1 mil
Josh Robinson CB - 71 overall (age 23) Set to make under 1 mil

Vikings reasoning: they strengthen their secondary with Cromartie and Clements and get a replacement for Kalil at left tackle with Gaither. Cromartie has 90+ speed and acceleration and both Cromartie and Clements are 80+ in Man, Zone, and Press coverage.

Chargers reasoning: In my first trade as Chargers GM I accomplish three major points I was aiming to hit on. First I get significantly younger with Kalil (24), Robinson (23), and Phillips (27). Second I was able to acquire speed in my secondary (Robinson 97 speed/ Phillips 90ish speed) and a solid LT that has the youth that could keep him around for the foreseeable future. Finally I get some major cap relief, which allows me to pick up some free agents and make this team fit my style of play.

Its cool. As much as I wish I had encyclopedic knowledge of every player on every team in the NFL, I don't have the hard drive space in my head.

I'm sure you're getting pretty close between all of these CAG leagues.

A lot of people were saying their qb accuracies went down after the season, so I'm not sure if it was the injury that did it. Josh Freeman, who put up ridiculous stats and was healthy all season, lost points in his accuracies as well.

Yup. Osweiler's accuracy ratings went down as well, despite the fact that he had a good season and he's also like 24 - with no good reason his skills should be declining.

Just a reminder to everyone, any deals involving picks need to be submitted before 12PM EST time today in order to give the committee enough time to review them.

We didn't feel this was enough for a player of Toler's caliber, especially at a premium position like CB.

Post-Draft Free Agency

Free Agency will NOT be open immediately after the draft. We will be doing the same thing we did after last season's draft, a structured FA Waiver Period for 2 rounds. The first round will be in the same order as the draft, the second round in reverse order. Groups of 8 as usual. After the completion of the 2nd round, things will be open again. I'm hoping to complete the whole thing Monday.

Any questions?

TL;DR: DO NOT SIGN FREE AGENTS AFTER THE DRAFT.

I realize a lot of people are scrambling to make last-minute deals before the deadline. I'm going to go ahead and push it back until 1:30PM EST, but that'll be a hard deadline. Don't say I never do anything nice for you guys. :D

Oh, and this is only a deadline for trades involving picks. Trades involving just players, feel free to submit whenever.
