Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!
Fair enough
For me, quick advances in the playoffs/preseason makes the first few advances seem drawn out.
Broncos-Steelers at 6PM EST on Thursday. I don't like waiting until the last day, but it's the only time that worked for both of us.
ya, it was pretty terrible timing for both of us lol. My car issues, you being gone all day tomorrow added up to some last minute playing :cold:
I'm still trying to get a new xbox and all that but if nobody claims them within the next couple weeks, I'll take em.
Alright. I'm going to see if we can fill them then, since that's a while to wait.

Worst comes to worst we know the Texans and Super Foster will be open at the end of this season.

Eagles 17 - Giants 10

Nick Foles leads the Eagles to a victory over the G-Men in Philadelphia. After the rookie from Tennessee Boyce's benching from the poor performance last week, Foles had a pretty good QB showing for a Kevin Faulk coached Eagles team throwing 15 for 20 for 117 with a TD and an INT.

Giants came out in an interesting offensive look, and caught the Eagles safetys sleeping when Joe Webb ran for a 58 yard touchdown up the middle for the first score of the game.

Foles tossed a TD to Havili on third down after a long Punt Return to the 1 yard line by Desean.

Couple of field goals and good defense on both sides until Curtis Marsh knabbed an Interception for a long run back TD for the last score of the game.

GG Giants, looking forward to the next one.

Next three weeks Super Bowl defending Bucs, ex-Super Bowl defending Ravens and division rival Redskins.

GG, just calm down with the slant routes lol
Like I said I'll be live streaming my game against the Panthers. Looking to get started pretty soon, here is the link - http://www.twitch.tv/staticzv2
lol save me a copy please and thank u i need to scan this footage for future games ;)

Panthers - 30
Chiefs - 0

Not much to say here. I started off pretty slow and MA took advantage. Leonard Hankerson (81 release) torching Flowers (97 man, 92 press) and Routt (93 man, 91 press) is BS!

edit:

Here is the highlight reel. Debated on making a lowlight reel for the Chiefs in this one :p

Hoping to get my game vs mog in Thurs night. We're still talking the details, but I'm going to the UConn-St. John's game tonight so not sure if I can get it in after. We might be the last game at 7 or 8pm EST tomorrow. Hope that works!

Falcons get a win in Green Bay 41-7

Ryan- 17 for 23 with 253 yards and 3 TDs
Taiwan Jones had 17 carries for 79 yards and 2 TDs
Julio Jones had 6 catches for 136 yards 1 TD
Mike Wallace had 3 catches for 28 yards 2 TDs
Defense had 6 INTs
2 ints grimes
2 ints marvin krunch

GG Matt

Browns win their first game in almost 1 year as Coach Raylan Givens was able get his first win of his pro career in his 4th game as head coach. Cleveland knocked off the Raiders in Oakland 34-20. The Browns and Peyton Manning put fourth a terrific performance as Peyton Mannng threw for over 350 yards and 4 TD's with no INT's. Perhaps the true highlight of the came not once, not twice but three times as Browns Rookie WR Platt had 3 scores of 77+ yards. Platt also managed to finish second all time in terms of yards receiving in a game with 354 yards. Platt now leads the league in yardage and YAC. Kurt Warner also had a good game connecting on 17 of 25 passes for 250 yards and a TD. Good game Raiders.

Really don't care I'm losing. Never expected to win. But this is kind of a waste of my time. No heart here. I missed the 2nd TD of the game doing laundry haha.

I'm ready for knees 2 mins left in 3rd. Needs a fast forward button. Or a mercy rule.

Mog, you might want to take a hint when someone says they are done and runs the clock all the way down on their offensive drives, to at least run the clock down a bit even if you keep want to gunning for the endzone every drive. I'm considering rage quitting just to fuck with him. I won't but he deserves it.

Reading stuff like this and knowing that it's still how so many people in this league choose to play really just makes me sad. That's all I'll say.

People might be less inclined to do it if they thought there might be some kind of consequence.

As far as I can tell mog didn't explicitly violate any rules. Unless uber says otherwise, in which case we'll do something more about it.

Thanks BV, I didn't run the score up and I subbed out rice who only had 5 carries and bray and woods both were under 10 carries I do believe, flacco threw the ball 3 times. Uber was throwing the ball and throwing pics. I understand you are mad uber but rage quitting is ridiculous. Even kno you didn't do it but saying u should of is crazy something needs to be done because I would of been pissed to waste my time and have to play the same game twice. But take knees in the 3rd q????

I was throwing the ball because you were blitzing on every play, you moron. Every run I did went for only a couple yards because you stack the box with at least one safety. You pretty much forced me to throw it, regardless of the score.

And I think he should at least get a strike. Like I said, I threw the towel in the 3rd. Even if he's not going to start running out the clock right then and there (which he should), he should have started doing it when I was doing it all the way to the 1, 2 second mark and we were into the 4th. You have some nerve saying "something needs to be done" about me talking about quitting on you for being a dickhead, when you actually did something that broke the rules. So you're right, something should be done, give this douche a strike.

Lol here comes the name calling and I wasn't bitizing lol I ran 2 under lol with a spy with Harvey or cover 3 zone the problem is I hide my defense to look like a blitz and then they run back to their spots and you couldn't figure it out the thing is I have suggs, Upshaw, and Kruger at DE on certain formations and they get pressure without blitzing. When it came to be 2 min in the thok the knees even tho I was on your 1 yard line. To take knees in the 3rd is crazy no NFL coache would do. There is a lot of pats fans in this league and would u ever see their coach take knees in the 3rd. And to rage quit just because ur losing is BS. If u were winning and I said something like that u would want me to get a strike. I take my wins and losses like I man and don't cry when I lose because you can't win every game or expect people to do ridiculous things because your mad lol

But I'm done tlkin about this because its stupid lol, ill let the committee do their thing with this

There's no "the committee" when it comes to disciplinary issues, just the commissioners. Obviously since uber is involved here he's not really impartial, so I'll discuss it with fero and see if anything needs to be done.

Thats fine

There's definitely been plenty of times where I've been mad about a loss. This isn't one of them.

I'm annoyed for the reasons I laid out. I conceded the game via XBL message. I ran the clock out on my end. And you were still fast selecting plays through Ask Madden (or just being really quick with your playcalling) halfway through the 4th. That's the problem. I could not care less if you beat me, as I said, I was doing laundry on your 2nd score.

Ask madden tho hahaha ur just saying anything to make me look bad

It actually makes it look worse that you were actually still going through your playbook that quickly to get plays off after I gave up than nonchalantly going through Ask Madden.

Ok uber ur being petty now, I ran the same stretch play every time for a total of 21 carries by my rbs but bv has spoken let's just wait to see what him and fero say

I think no offense should be completely shut down until the 4th quarter... at that point if ur up by 21 going into the 4th it should be run only unless its 3rd and long... I remember last yr u guys said till 2 min warning I don't think mog deserves a strike for beating u badly... he did as told and used backups ... just cause he's blitzing don't mean u have to pass u chose to .. blitzing also gives more of a chance for a missed tackle and TD... at worst maybe we should make standard rule that if its a blowout no one is to score more then 50 points or its a strike..

Mog won't be getting a strike. I'll have more thoughts on this situation later though. Sprice, I appreciate your idea, and I think it's a very good one. We'll definitely consider that.

Broncos-Steelers might be kicking off a bit early, so look for us to advance sometime in the next hour or two. I'll obviously post when we have.

My problem is mog, and everyone else who plays like him (and there's a few), seems like he'll never learn. They are only slightly better than playing ranked matches. But from his responses here it's clear this will continue. Maybe people have been just dealing with it and not caring this is how he treats his games. This is my first time playing him in a long while, so I don't know.

Also let's not make this about winning or losing, or my play calling. I really can't stress enough how little I care about the result of the game. And I don't like losing, but Madden is not a priority for me right now. I've gotten mad about losses in the past--so I repeat--this is not one of those instances.

The only thing that matters here is I conceded the game via XBL message, ran down the clock on my end, and he was still running out of his huddle to get plays off as quickly as possible. I do not expect anyone to take knees in the 3rd quarter. Never did I say that. But when your opponent has given up by running down the clock and sending a message directly to you, it's time to take your foot off the gas and show some respect.

Maybe I quit the wrong league and should have stuck with the other one.

Note: I'm done discussing this. The other two guys decided not to do anything. That's fine with me. It's not my league to run. They can police the next instance when it happens in a week. I just hope the points I brought up here are at least considered and when someone is blowing another player out and it's the 4th quarter and they are told by their opponent that they are giving up, they have the decency to call it game.

I feel the same way. It's getting difficult for me to schedule games in multiple leagues it was more fun and less time consuming when it was just one league.

Everything you said was considered, and you know that because you and I talked about it personally several times today. So please don't make it seem like we blindsided you with this. I could not have been more forthright with you about what fero and I discussed. You know I agree with how you feel, trust me.

Edit: It occurs to me that you probably meant "considered by everyone else." In which case, I couldn't agree more. ;)

On principle, I absolutely 100% agree with what ubernes is saying. The way mog played in that game showed absolutely no respect for his opponent. While he might not have violated any rules as a matter of fact, I find myself constantly disgusted (and thoroughly unsurprised) by the way some people in this league choose to treat their fellow members. Mercy and compassion are the true marks of class, and if you can't ease up on your opponent who is telling you that they are beaten fair and square, you need to take a long hard look in the mirror. This league is about fun and it's about respect. It's not about who has the most Madden swagger.

Ironically, the exact same thing just happened in the Broncos-Steelers game. I was dominating and had just scored after halftime to make it 24-0, he sent me a message saying "gg" and I didn't score another point, both of us winding down the clock and ending the game respectfully. I still had fun, even if I didn't put up 50 points.

So while we're not giving mog a strike, I don't want anyone to view this as an endorsement of the way he played this game. I could not possibly unendorse it more.

Denver Broncos 24 - Pittsburgh Steelers 0

The Broncos move to 2-0 on the season behind another strong defensive effort. They were in control early, and while they didn't force any turnovers until the end, they were able to consistently force punts and play an efficient offensive game in both phases.

Osweiler was 7 of 9 for 161 yards, 3TDs and 0 INT.

Big Ben was 7 of 20 for 93 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT.

McFadden had 11 carries for 111 yards and 0 TDs, but he did fumble near the goal line. McGahee continues to struggle to start the season, carrying 6 times for 16 yards.

Gore carried 13 times for 63 yards.

Demaryius Thomas went off in this one, catching 3 balls for 114 yards, all three going for TDs.

Heath Miller lead the Steelers with 3 catches for 63 yards (all on the final drive).

The Broncos didn't put up many defensive stats, but did get a pick in the endzone by Quinton Carter as time expired to preserve the shutout after the Steelers put together their best drive of the day.

The Steelers managed to force a fumble near the goal line, which was recovered by Clark

gg troy! For the record, I don't mind at all if people send me the "gg" message in the 3rd quarter. I'll gladly get out of the game healthy, happy and with a win. :D
