well in the offical league i have a better record than i do in ur league for some reason. and the bengals arent a team u can say is shitty either there defense is amazing by far i struggle with the offense with the bengals. and in this league i got beat by tanebo and beat MA and BV and lost to other people who arent even in the playoffs.
I get what you're saying, and I'm not trying to say that people don't have good or bad days or that there aren't some good players in the Gentlemen's League (I might even consider myself "semi-good" from time to time, lol). But when you have a legitimate chance of beating anybody in this league and seriously contending for a title, to me that's the difference.
I actually play Chetty this coming week with my Titans against his Dolphins...and I've been lighting the league up with Chris Johnson. But I fully expect to be shut down (as I was against his brother in Week 1). I'll play my same style of game, but I don't really expect to win that one.
That's how it felt for me playing guys like BV and MA in this league (I never got to play Doom, sprice, or mog). Sure, I can "play a good game", but I just couldn't come anywhere close to touching their teams. And that made it completely exhausting and demoralizing to continue playing them. I just had no chance. Would it be different this year with BV not having the Pats? I don't know. Judging by the record he's put together with Denver, I doubt it.
We've got a similar situation developing in the other league, with teams who probably feel like they have no chance at all playing certain people. And like I said, to me it makes more sense to force the really good ones out...where they can at least compete over here, than to force the not so good ones to quit...because they don't feel competitive anywhere.
