You guys who have had your EGM subscriptions suspended - did you try to log into your account at customer service? I can't log into mine and I get no response when I try to e-mail Ziff Davis.

My PC Magazine subscription was also suspended and the official excuse was that my account was "placed on postal hold" and it won't start again till mid-April, which makes sense since Ziff Davis prolly has financial problems, as indicated by the closings of GMR and XBN earlier.

On a related note, anyone stop receiving their Computer Shopper? I can't even choose any isues later than the Jan 2005 issue from their list, and that was the last one I got.
 
Hmm, I still get EGM but I paid for that one. I know I've filled out some free offers for EGM but not sure if I'm into the "free" subscription yet. That last one I got had the Godfather on the cover.

I haven't received the new CGW though - I saw it in the store, had Vader on the cover and wondered why I haven't seen mine yet.
 
My EGM stopped coming for a few months, but then I signed into the customer support part of the website and reported the issues as not having arrived. I started getting them again a month or two later.

Sorry to be the berer of bad news, but the vader issue is 2 month's old, the World of Warcraft "game of the year" cover is the newest.

GMR is done? I didn't hear that before. I actually liked that mag too.

My guess (I could be wrong) is it is because some people couldn't help themselves and signed up for 40 years worth of free offers . . . possibly this raised some redflags on all freebies. :roll:

Someone always craps in the pool on the neat offers.

Mine stopped coming too! I thought I was the only one. Thats pretty fucked up considering that my paid subscription hasn't even run out yet and I only signed up for 2 years of free service. I gotta give them a call.
 
are you guys sure they've stopped coming entirely? because when mine stopped coming it's because I signed up for a digital subscription and they switched it over without telling me, if possible contact them and ask them to switch back to print, it'll take a few months, (like 3 or so) but they'll gladly say yes. Maybe you're getting them mailed to you at your "junk" email addy, it'll be from ZINIO not from EGM or Ziff Davis. Maybe it's in your junk box. Go forth and check. Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you.
 
Well I just called EGM and they let me know that for some random reason my account was suspended. He said he had no idea why because normally there are remarks left when suspensions occur. So now everything should be back to normal and my sub will be extended with my missing issues.
 
I stopped getting EGM a long time ago. I think the last issue I got was in september. I only got three issues out of the subscription. I just checked the website and my name is still listed as having a subscription... what the hell?
 
I thought I was the only one who had my EGM stopped. Mine was supposed to go on until 2006. I feel better knowing I'm not alone.

And I never got an email about the XBN being canned (which I knew about) but I never got the option to switch. Honestly though, I think I used a fake email so I couldn't even read it anyways lol.
 
I emailed EGM last night and I got a reply this morning saying that they are restarting my subscription, starting with May 05 issue. Thanks guys for talking about this or I would have never known.

I never got an XBN card or email either when I got the final issue. Oh well.
 
They just restarted and extended my PC Magazine subscription becuase I had not gotten issues, then I was removed from the database for a day or something.

EGM and CGW seem to work fine now as well.

I'm pretty sure you have to either call or email them. They stopped my EGM sub, and I emailed them. They replied that they would restart my subscription in a couple months.
 
Hmm what if I didn't even sign up for those offers on the sites give in this thread. I payed for mine $19.99. Renewed about 2 months ago. I haven't gotten one in a while, come to think of it. Is this for every EGM subscribers?

Got the email this morning from egm, sub starts back up in May. Guess they're trying to lose some of the free subscribers by just seeing who doesn't bother emailing or calling them up about why the issues stopped. Damn guess I need to go buy the issue with the godfather on the cover.

will restart and I'll get a few issues extended . . .

I didn't even notice because of all the mags coming in . . . but I collect them . . . so. I'll have to find a couple of the issues

I just got my first Sync issue yesterday. Hope I get the others I signed up for. I read that some of you guys got your issues a lot quicker than me so I hope I am not in the slow train mailing group.

My EGM sub. didn't stop - it all of a sudden changed formats on me. I opened up my email this morning and one said that my digital April EGM issue had arrived. WTF! I've been getting print for the last 3 months. It's much harder to read... and come to think of it, I havent gotten a GCW in a while - is the April issue out yet?

same thing's going on with me - I have nothing showing up either. Just continue filling in the spaces until you're at a page where it tells you tot ype your question - and then just let 'em know what you want frm there.

Did you mean CGW? If so, then yes. My copy came in the mail two days ago. Has Battlefield 2 on the cover...
 
hmm, I received my digital copy of EGM April issue.

They said I won't get print till may, so hopefully they do it.
