Well, I will concede that they do look a little better than a straight GC port, so better than MP8 but not as good as SSBB. Yes, we are spoiled by SSBB, but I thought Nintendo was involved with this game so I expected more. I guess you couldn't have the Nintendo characters look sharp and new but leave the Sonic characters with only mild enhancements. I guess it is like all consoles--some developers take pride in their work and some don't. I just clicked on this thread after the SSBB thread so it was more pronounced. I am still all about gameplay, though. And as pointed out above, I hope Miis are an option, too.
I think I am feeling the opposite from these screens. This game looks like the third party developer actually tried to do something half way decent with the graphics. It is going to be a long time before anyone passes the graphic bar nintendo sets on their own console becuase they have had more time and access to the technology. Compare these screens with Mario Party 8 (which admittedly was a port from gamecube) and you will see this game looks better. Maybe it will have even more polish by the time it is finished. If you want to see lazy work in progress games look at Destroy all Humans (which has about year to be polished up, so it is an unfair comparison) or Dragon Blade, both of those games look like they need much more time in the oven before they are passable graphic wise.
Man I am conflicted on the whole graphic issue with Wii. I kind of want every game to have the graphic polish RE4 had on the gamecube. I know it is asking for a lot given that games development time. I just don't think I should feel that my ps2 games look nicer than my Wii games. Although I still love my Wii so "End Rant."
On the Issue of Graphics anyone notice that Super Mario Galaxy Shine to the characters, as if they are covered in some form of irridecent material?
