Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure Limited Edition is packed into a collectible Getting Up tin case and includes:

 • Marc Ecko's Blackbook, offering an exclusive look inside the game's development process;
 • Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure video game;
 • A disc featuring a collection of short films, level rundowns, game tips, and "making of" footage;
 • A silver pen with the Getting Up "X" logo
The Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure Limited Edition also features a soundtrack with four tracks executively co-produced by Sean 'Diddy' Combs, including an exclusive version of Notorious B.I.G.'s "Who Shot Ya," remixed by Serj from the band System of a Down. Other Combs' tracks include "Clik, Clak, and Spray" from Pack FM, "Book of Judges" from Pharoahe Monch and "Getting Up Anthem, Part 1," performed by Talib Kweli, the voice of the game's lead character, Trane, and legendary Hip-Hop artist Rakim. These songs, plus Rhymefest's "Wanted" and various scoring pieces from RJD2, are only available on the Limited Edition's soundtrack.

That's almost as good as the Circuit City sale, if I didn't pick up the regular edition for $10 I'd get this.

I think that a soundtrack CD and a making-of DVD that also includes a documentary about graffiti culture are pretty good bonus items...especially at $20 for the whole package. There's a silver Sharpie and a blackbook, too, but those are pretty useless.

$20 is a very good price for the LE version of the game. I paid the full $50 when the LE came out and I don't regret it.

Call your local EB/Gamestop they also have it for $19.99. The EB by me has the limited one in stock.

When did this drop at EB? When I checked out some EB's near me they were still priced at $49.99 for both versions. Do they ring up at $19.99 when they are scanned?

Gamestop and EB games should have it priced at $19.99 (as of 6/02/06). If not, it will ring up at $20.00. Lazy sales clerks! ;)
Damn, dude, that game must have bombed hard.
Um, no? Atari dropped the price of all (PS2,Xbox, GC) titles down to $19.99. This would be one of those titles.

This is even the same price at your local ebgames/gamestop if they have the LE. Mine had the Xbox LE today but I passed on it.

So does this mean stores like CCity will drop their prices to $20 for these games as well? Or is that up to their discretion? If thats the case i might return the $10 copy i got for a $20 LE version later since they have a bunch...

Guess ill head over there :)

I was surprised with this game. I picked it up at the CC sale and wasn't expecting much, but I was surprised. The platforming was good, the fighting was not as bad as everyone says it is, and the feeling of the game was there.

I must say I enjoy this game, and this is comming from someone who hates the rap scene and the urban style.

This game really caught my interests because I'm a huge fan of grafitti art so I going to order this special edition, thanks cheapy.

I agree with you, I wasn't expecting much out of the game --I'd gotten the limited edition solely for the purpose of acquiring RJD2's score-- but it was surprisingly good. My main beefs with the game are that the platforming controls don't feel as natural as they should be, and I also seem to come across graphical glitches more often than I'd like, which are usually just aesthetic annoyances but can sometimes even lead to cheap deaths. Other than that, it's actually been a lot of fun to play. The storytelling and the voice acting are surprisingly convincing!

I grew up entrenched in hip-hop culture, so I'm approaching the game from a different viewpoint than you. But I also hate all the urban-themed video games that simply try to cash in by exploiting hip-hop culture, and by doing so, magnify and glorify the worst parts of the culture and lifestyle. For all its technical shortcomings, Getting Up is one of the very few urban-themed games that actually feels as though it came from people who love and understand their subject and wanted to distill a more authentic portrayal of the culture.

I picked the LE up yesterday at EB. They only had 2 left, a Xbox version and a PS2 version. Really nice packaging. Haven't gotten to play the game yet though.
