Mark of Kri (PS 2) @ ebgames.com $10 NEW & shipped free - $2 price drop

Damn it!

I passed on it when it was at BB for $10.

Then I later regretted it, so I found it at TRU for $15 and pricematched it at CC to get it for $14.

I COULD'VE SAVED A DOLLAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...and I haven't even played it yet. ARGH!

I payed $35 ($40 - $5) when it was new and enjoyed it, so I'd definitely recommend it for $13. You have to like action games and hack-and-slash-take-on-a-ton-of-guys-at-once-beat-em-up-type stuff though.

SPOILER ALERT:

Did anyone else who beat the game think the last level was crazy? They teach you all these stealth techniques throughout the whole game and then it's all thrown out the window on the last level, which simply features tons and tons of enemies and melee fighting.

Nice game, and the over-the-top voice acting is great. I've enjoyed this a lot when I've played it.

Thanks! I picked one up. I'd been waiting on this one for a while and just totally forgot about it... I didn't even know it'd been priced at $20 for a while now, I thought it was still $30. Anyway, I'm getting it now for $13! 8)

Well, when they give you an axe that can target nine enemies at once, they're not going to have you sneaking around walls.

get it for $9 with the information from my earlier post

I'd rather pay the extra $4 though, just to guranatee a working, scratch free disc and a case/manual. Used games are icky, you never know what they've been through :p

Yeah, I'd have to agree with Wario on that point. If the difference was larger than $10, I'd give serious thought to the used copy. But with only a $4 difference, I'd rather pay more and get a sealed copy.

I ordered a game "new" from eb games and when it came, the case was cracked, it had been opened but they made up for it by putting stickers saying "eb certified new" or somethin all over it... :x

I picked up Mark of Kri back when it was $9.99 at Best Buy....it REALLY surprized me. Very interesting and original feeling game. Thats the sad part about the gaming industry these days....all the low profile games that turn out to be excellent but no one buys cause they are so low key. It took a $7 clearence buy for me to pick up Kya: Dark Lineage at Target....turns out that game is AWESOME! So is Kri

its says under the preowned price that it is guarunteed to work and include box/instructions.

I've bought some pre-owned games and never had a problem with any of them. I just recently bought Clock Tower 3 pre-owned via EB online and everything is in MINT condition. If it had been wrapped and marked as new, I'd never have suspected a thing. I just bought about 4 more pre-owned games through EB's website (Mark of Kri being one of them), so I'll see what conditions they are in when they arrive.

$4 is not much of a difference, but when you also get 25% off which, you can apply to another game which you get 25% off of as well, it's worth it to me. :)

I agree with everyone here. Mark of Kri is a great game. I especially like how the target system works with the right stick. There's no reason why anybody shouldn't pick it up for $13.

Desertfox, why the hell do you care whether or not someone buys the game new or used? I for one would alos rather pay the extra $4 to guarantee a scratch-free, new game.

You don't have to be harsh toward desertfox... The guy's just suggesting a totally viable, cheaper alternative -- there's nothing wrong with that at all.

finally a fellow cheap ass.

Haha, I don't know about that... I mean, I am still of the mindset that the extra $4 was worth paying for a sealed copy. But to those who are open to buying used copies over the internet, your suggestion is a perfect alternative. I'd be more willing to buy used if I could inspect the copy in person to make sure there are no scratches, stains, dents, rips, etc. on the disc, manual and insert. Unfortunately, even if the used price on MoK exists at B&M EB stores (where I could do a personal inspection), there are none in my area...

this was such a fun game. nothing beats disney animation with tarantino levels of gore and violence. got it for 10 at bb last summer. worth every penny. so niche, egm only found out about it when they reviewed it. got a silver.

Huh, that's weird. I remember seeing the commercials run pretty heavily around it's release.

My own edit:

Duh, I was thining of Rygar. I never saw a commercial for this game, I think. I did buy it soon after it's release, though. Shouldn't really be niche since Sony released it.

This game didn't receive much hype, mostly due to because it was annoucned only a couple months before the actual release date

*purchased* Bummer paying tax now, but it's only .79c extra. Glad I waited for the price drop (had a feeling it would happen...)

YEAH grabbed one! I just decided I wanted this game a day ago and was hoping for a $9.99 price point. \:D/

Spending too much today.

I just ordered one as well. Once, on The Screensavers, Gary Colemon was on and he was raving about how awsome this game was! I figured I'd give it a shot since, as we all know, Gary Coleman is the authority on video games.
