I just joined and got a quick 100 points before I had to hop on a conference call. Bought a token hoping to get a deadpool like everyone else and ended up with a Modern Magneto. All I have for this tourney is my 3 Wolverines and a Storm so might no do well but will do my best. Now back to the real world and crack some skulls because someone decided to run a batch update to the Database which caused my updates to error out. Got to love Change Control Processes.

New gauntlet event looks pointless, unless the battle rewards get better towards the end. Top prize is Classic Storm, and no bracket prizes? They must not want people playing that event.
Sitting at 600-something with a 150 point lead right now in my bracket. 3 hour shield up with an alarm set for when it expires. Check back then, see where I'm at, maybe play a little, and do it again. I'm okay with spending extra HP to shield for these events and stay up for that extra cover. A lot better than shelling out 1250 straight up to get it.

I know what to say and God forbid that Im the voice of reason, but someone's gotta say it because sometimes you need to hear it. Its the truth so here goes.
First and foremost it's a game, with digital items that have no real world benefit. Pushing so hard for the new big thing has cause a lot of us burn out. We push so hard to get 1-2 covers for the new character only to next to never see covers for that character or get them to a respectable level to realize, damn they suck & will never use them. Remember most of us are more F2P players so we wont buy covers or powers outright. Maybe we'll have a couple hundred hp saved up & buy a deal of the day or something. Time is the most that gets invested into this game for most of us because honestly, its not worth dumping money into.
You cant expect something to change after you created a new meta game. You sat there and bragged about how you jump in the last 10 minutes and get the top spots almost every event. Now you ask everyone to jump in and grind? You know everyone is saying, which I can hear it from the comments.
THAT! Why bust my ass anf grind for hours when Broly can just jump in the last 5 minutes & get a 4* X-force and all color covers? So how many people are now jumping on the bandwagon and waiting for the last couple minutes to get the top rewards? How many have posted their results? You cant ask everyone now to change up when they're finally learning and winning the easy way. We've always known the later you wait the better bracket you get into, but you taught everyone an extreme way. You opened pandora's box my friend, and now you want to shut it?Lastly as a leader, you need to benefit the alliance, not yourself. You do this all the time, especially with the new characters. Always hey team we can do this, we all can get covers. Lets push and get it for everyone. The deadpool event was prime example of this. Most of us grinded for the colossus progression reward. The top alliance rewards was for punisher. Well most of us already maxed punishers, and I know you loathe punisher, so there was no reason to push or even acknowledge we needed to try for him. We have a lot of people who dont have punisher and some are still in the 2-3* transition. Like whoever that random is that wanted us to push in the last PVE for punisher rewards. He didnt have any, but the statement was even said in Alliance chat (not by you) that their punisher was pretty much maxed, so there was no reason to push for it.
I know you get excited about the new characters, but look at your teams rosters, I do. While you have a great set; a lot of the guys are still getting by and the shiny & new is hurting them more than helping them. Plus I thought we were trying to actually build a team and a community, by threatening everyone who doesnt get X amount of point it really does hurt moral. Sure you can kick randoms like we do, but then we have less control over that.
Point is we're a team, we help each other out when we can, but PVP has always been expected that we're solo. Because everyone is on so many different levels, we really cant be competitive there. Even I have issues in tournaments, not because I suck or a noob, just I get targeted more & Im not as powerful as some top players. Im old school, I know I can drop 100 points in the last minutes of a tourney. So even if they get to 600 a pop, did you forget to hold you're probably gonna have to ask them to get shields too? Team effort, and as founder and one of the commanders of CAG; I just want you guys to have fun. We'll kick ass in the PVE when we want but guys just play. Enjoy the game, its stressful enough, so just have fun when you can.

I really wanted us all to push as much as we could to get the Alliance Yellow Colossus cover. That would mean jumping in sooner than later. The Alliance is severely slacking though still which really disappoints me.
Also, yeah wtf is up with this new PvE event?! Maybe they have really good rewards for the matches itself? Otherwise I see no reason to really play it...
And lame, Hulk rewards for the Colossus PvP. Though for me that means the next pvP I should have it a bit easier since my Hulk is maxed at 166!

Alright, first off like I said, those are a ton of valid points. I will try to address them just going down the list basically.
I do know that this is a F2P game and that it is difficult but really if we did all push then the new covers are actually largely usable. PvE we have 4 covers available, PvP we have 4 covers available and then somewhere in there it always has at least one progression reward. That means there are 9 covers available upon a strong push for the new characters. That to me is a very usable character as it gets you past the level 100 softcap threshold especially.
I know not everyone can get those covers however but I am just saying it really is possible. I know we kicked butt in the Colossus event and many of us, not just me, got a couple covers. Plus most of us got the Progression one and so it makes sense to me that pushing more would be beneficial. In regards to HP I feel you can easily save up and buy characters outright. We net quite a bit of HP every event and if you just save that, over a month or two's time you can easily score a cover. Though I do acknowledge the ever present need to buy more slots with more and more characters as we discussed earlier so I do know that effects most people's HP pool.
And in regards to the PvP timing thing yes I completely see the silliness in me telling everyone how I do stuff and then asking the opposite. But it isnt like I am asking this every time, I rarely if ever say to push in PvP because like you said we have acknowledged it is largely a singular event for us whereas the PvE is the team stuff. I however am not asking for us to do that and then not actually doing it myself... I started this morning because I know I could still squeeze out a decent amount of points and then it would be after the past PvE event. If we get it, we all benefit and that is my mind set on it.
As a leader I know I have to be aware of everyone's teams. I largely am and most of the people in our Alliance that you are referring to are mostly the randoms that we have accrued so it isnt really pertaining to us CAGs I feel like. And I definitely still push for the Alliance when I dont need stuff. Hell I was all over that Thor event and got one of the top scores in the Alliance because I know so many people need more Lazy Thors! Even this last event yes I hate Punisher (and mine has been maxed forever) but I still got a solid score and continued to play well after I got the progression reward and had everyone followed suit we would have gotten the Alliance reward.
And the argument about new characters and pushing being hard for new guys seems like a weak excuse honestly. I see it from our perspectives because we started with this game but as it has been changing it is more and more suited to new players and is much more accessible for them. Plus remember early on how easy it was to score high if you just pushed? That is still the case. I keep track and watch my buddy Danielle (Nm8or) and track her point gains and brackets as she is new and she continually gets a handful of rewards from just pushing decently hard.
I honestly wasn't really planning on booting any CAGs for a low score it was more of a way to hopefully spark people to play more. I was actually going to attach a silly picture to it to emphasize this originally but have been fairly busy in the office haha Though I do see your community aspect and that is a big thing but in the end it isnt a deciding factor. As a team we can compete together and try to succeed for everyone and then come here and still chat about the game and other such things. If you arent part of the team directly then you dont have to worry about pushing crazy hard but the group is still here to talk with and joke around with and so the community doesnt HAVE to be all people in the Alliance but rather people who play the game in general. I know that seems dumb but it is just to be devils advocate to your point.
In the end yes the game is about just having fun but the fun is in getting new stuff, no? We all have played countless match 3s in our lives I am sure so it isnt the gameplay itself that has us coming back for more, it is the promise of new covers and stuff.
I feel like I am probably coming off as an ass and I do apologize if that is how this is read but know I am not TRYING to be haha
This is nice though I appreciate and enjoy open discussion especially when it comes to bettering myself and the team itself so thank you DS for bringing this all to light.

As a rule, I'm totally fine with people using the last-10-minute Broly technique on most PvPs, provided that:
* you actually manage to get easy seed teams lined up (i keep missing the window lately)
* You're ok with the chance that you still get a bad bracket and win nothing
For the times when I miss the primo seed teams, I tend to do well just waiting 12h in. Casually playing a game every couple hours tends to land me in the top 100, which is all I generally shoot for.

He isn't the crazy stun-lock master he was originally, but he's still pretty useful. That passive purple goes great with GSBW (and anyone else who uses purple) and Patch (to lock down the purple tiles for his green). You'll rarely use his yellow, but I just saved my bacon with it today - the surge is pretty valuable in the late game at higher levels, especially if you've got web tiles out from throwing blue.
I'd rather use Steve's blue stun over Spidey's, but it is cheaper and feeds his other two powers. Also, he heals fast out of battle, so he can play a big part in a push just because you can get protection up and recover quickly.
Now, am I going to invest beyond the level 130 I have him at right now? Probably not any time soon.
Man, that's one of the scariest nodes I've heard of yet.
If you finish the first gauntlet, you unlock a Hero set that has a blue Panther at the end. The official forums say that there is another subevent after the heroes one that gives a black Psylocke and a green GSBW.
No rubberbanding, no leaderboard awards. True PvE. Plus, boosted Punisher is always fun.
I read through today's walls, and don't really see anything to disagree with. I think it might be worth letting the randoms who have stuck around know that we're mostly a PvE alliance. I think some of them get frustrated when we don't go along, and they're putting up numbers when it counts. I don't necessarily feel any loyalty towards them, but I do have to respect their contributions.
As mentioned earlier, events are good for more than just the award covers - there are all sorts of awards at the node level. I spent about an hour last night hitting the nodes that gave 100+ ISO over and over just trying to farm it. My score wasn't moving very much towards the end, but I still finished with a token that gave me a 3* Daken and two Punishers I could sell for 1k ISO. I think it pays to push in PvE, and I would say even more so when the points don't matter to you. If you're farming ISO instead of fighting for placement, there's no incentive to wipe yourself out on the higher point nodes when you could be getting a couple hundred ISO and a few less points without worrying about health pack management.
You're still moving the alliance needle, and getting some leveling funded.

I think I have a spidey with 4 yellows and 2 or 3 purples, 2 or 3 blues as well. Close to being maxed out. He was fun when he was boosted a few events ago, but I've just never seen the value in pouring the ISO into him.
I'm close to getting my Psylocke up to level 160. Her red and black have very low match requirements, and her black tiles do massive amounts of damage per turn.

Her Awesomeness is only matched by her sexiness. I have her maxed & know she will go beast mode on the X-men tournament. At least she always does when she's boosted. Her reds and blacks also compliment each other & I love the cheapness. When she lays down attack tiles & a shit ton of attack tiles, she almost outdoes Dr. Dooms black. She's one of my faves, but I wish she was a bit more beefed up. Her and Punisher have the same health pool and honestly I will never get why he's used more than her. Hulk, Psylocke and a third (Falcon/GSBW/ whoever has a useful purple) kick ass team right there! She honestly deserves more attention than what she gets.
Three good powers versus two good powers. So that means she's horrible.
(Actually, I think it has more to do with the fact that Punisher had the benefit of being earlier in the releases and thus, more likely to be leveled in any given roster. And if they are more or less equal, no reason to invest in the second one as a priority.)

Started. Already at 200+ points. Top 10 bottoms out at 400 so i should be able to catch up no problem. especially once some of the kids start going to bed in 45 minutes.
So I just started playing again after a long hiatus. My characters were restored through Facebook, but most of my 2 star characters start each level with negative iso. For example, a level for Daken may only take 300 iso but I start with -179, so I have to spend 479 to move him up. Was there a huge 2 star nerf at some point? Should I start fresh with those characters rather than over-spending on their levels?

I don't know that anyone was talking about you in particular. I finished 51, so I got another yellow too. As far as jumping in later, Broly said he goes in with enough time to beat the seed teams ( I think he said 8 minutes or so, and netting 100 or so total points), but it also completely depends on the bracket you get thrown in, without much chance to make a dent if you get a bad bracket.
I haven't heard of this particular issue. My guess is that this is an issue from when they increased levels for every character across the board a few months ago - whatever automated process does that didn't fix archived games. So the guantlet is....interesting. Id prefer a simple side story with progression but this is different. I would love to say its making me use my mind and trying out new tactics to take out all these different enemy combinations, but its not. Punisher, Black panther, and a switch between OBW/GSBW. GS is powered up but OBW seems very helpful again dont know why. NO reason not to use punisher as he's maxed out in the 280s.
Anyone notice the CotA tournament last night how everyone was primarily trying to use x-men characters? When I realized I could use any character I wanted I was like later losers! After a while I started avoiding classic storm teams because Id do too much damage & she got annoying with her yellow retaliation. In the end I ended up just using a Psylocke, X-force, Daken team. Which is kinda BS; daken wasnt powered up, since hes a mutant too. I'll tell you though X-force new yellow move is a definite "hmm What do I do move?" On the one hand you destroy is so X-force doesnt gain back ridiculous health. On the other hand if you do, you get hit with crazy damage. So usually my enemies wouldnt bother trying to match the yellow countdown. By the end of each battle Id have fully healed Daken & X-force just in time for the next battle. Helped keep my health pack usage down to a minimum on psylocke.

Haven't played much at all of the new PvE so I cant say.
n regards to the past PvP yeah I didnt even both with most of my mutants. My go to team was Patch, Thor and then Hood. It was a pretty deadly combo though was lacking purple as usual. Since Patch was boosted he was like 210 or so and so he took most of the tiles anyway and with his Yellow maxed I was healing regularly. Then with Hood it really helped keep the enemy team's powers at bay. I would basically just last a minute or two that way storing AP and then would unleash Thor's Green with the 2nd highest healthpool character taking the brunt usually killing them. Then I would focus my Patch Red on the highest health and instantly kill them. Then with a couple strike tiles on the board and likely Hood's Black all ready then too I would just clean up the last enemy.
I really liked that strategy more than I thought and much prefer using Patch as a tank than Hulk now because Patch obviously has healing and his Red move is insane. That being said I would cycle Hulk and Steve and Black Panther and all of them in randomly if I was out of Health or something and I wanted one more match or something.
But yeah I tried my hardest to avoid X-Force because literally every single one I encountered was at MINIMUM Level 325. I was too chicken to even attempt one of those, which was difficult because I would say 50% of the nodes I was getting had them : / Womp.

And in regards to that last PvP Alliance performance I know I got flack about it but I must say we all did very well I think and was really glad to see that we could. In the end it was because of our poor scoring randoms/ ones that left that caused us the top 100 I think.
So apparently some see me as a Nazi about it haha but I just wanted to say good job with that push and from now on if that is the general consensus still I will lay off asking about PvP pushes and we can stick to strong PvE performances.

OK Didnt play all of the heroes gauntlet because I dont need a blue panther.

Dont think thats going to happen. I like skill and challenge, when its there. I dont like obvious cheating.
Im stuck now at the Puniser/Sentry/C Storm node having finally beat the previous node somehow.
What gets me is these things are scaled out the ding dong. Almost up to level 300! When C. Storm can take out 2 of your guys using her blue power, you know something it wrong. Lets not even get to when sentry uses any of his powers. Green or Red? Once again 1 hit deaths.
Anyone else going crazy with this? I think Ive done a whole roster wipe of every character Ive had, even 1*s, just for shits and giggles. Kinda sucks they took 2 of my powered up team. Especially punisher, thats just some bullshit!

Who exactly are all available? I am curious if it is worth trying. If I can nab a GSBW and a Psylocke (I also done need BP as you know) then I will try. Anyone else available?

Three events, in a chain. If you finish the last node of each of the first two, you unlock the next node. The covers are the progression awards, but the only way to get the last progression award is to do every node, since you get no points for repeating a node (although you can still get the regular node awards and farm good team ups).
So, if you don't need Black Panther's blue, you could skip the side lines and just work to the end of villains. GSBW's green is a middle progression award in finale, the Psylocke black cover is the final progression award. There are 2*s peppered in, but I know you aren't interested in those.
I have mixed thoughts on this event. I think it's a great idea to give covers out for just playing the game, and not having to place in a bracket. However, if you already have a decent roster, the scaling is rough and the rewards are kind of scant. I'm not at 300+ enemies, I'm in middle 200's. I haven't found a node yet that I couldn't beat after three attempts, but I'm needing health packs, so I'm about halfway through finale.
Punisher is doing most of the heavy lifting. Team ups are worth using. You have to play denial more than usual, and I would say Hood and OBW are super important on any node with a goon that feeds colors to the named opponents.

Damn, I am still on the first chain. I doubt I will play enough to get the rewards I want but it really isnt the end of the world.
I have to play this a bit more to have a real opinion on it though I do like the idea of breaking it up and not having brackets and having it purely on your own playing.

Got my BP and don't need the rest, so I'm probably done with the gauntlet now. Also don't need a hulk, but I'm shielded and should get one hulk or sell off.

Dammit, totally forgot to fight in the Colossus PvP and nab the seed teams for the Hulk one!
Not that it really matters all that much though besides the ISO and HP, I have my Hulk maxed out and now with IM40 I never really care to use him anyway. I will still try to get something in it but wont be heartbroken if I dont haha
Only 1/3 the way through the 2nd gauntlet and from the look of things won't be able to finish it unless I get some good boards. I'm ranked 10th for the season so I'm not sure if that's because everyone is working on the gauntlet or I have a bunch of people pulling a Broly and hoping on at the last minute for covers. So will be pushing a little harder on PvP this season unless I get smoked down the road.

PvP seasons I feel like are hard to gauge until a few tournaments in, though that would be awesome if you can hold a high position like that! Best of luck!
I just finished the Gauntlet. It was nice to have a challenge that wasn't a Sentry bomb (well, except for the node that was a Sentry bomb). When I lost, I didn't feel like the I got cheated - went back in with a different strategy and usually was successful.
So, now I have my Psylocke covered the way I want and some high level team ups. Plus a bunch of levels on BP, Falcon, and a few others.
Not going to do any farming, though. Having amazing Team Ups is great, but I have a good inventory now for future use.

Speaking of, who is everyone focusing their ISO on now? I know I ask that fairly regularly but it does seem to change from time to time.
I personally want to level up my Colossus since I can get him to I think 100 or so, but for now I am focusing on my main heavy hitters. I have been adding a level here and there to Black Panther, Steve, Hood and Patch. I begrudgingly added 5 levels to Punisher to get him to 110 and then instantly regretted it as I watched him fail over and over like the worthless poop bag he is in the Gauntlet despite his boosted level of like 200.
I think our Colossi are covered the same, so you can get him to 102. I was a little sad to see that his health at that level is only 6360. Yeah, once you get his yellow off, that's fine and dandy for a few turns... but the dude is supposed to protect his team. I was hoping it would be a little more.
Public Service Announcement - Don't underestimate that fastball. It's an awesome move for what it costs. My 2 favs so far:
- Throw Steve? Freeze with potentially free AP return, huge damage with potentially free AP return, or awesomely expensive defense tiles, all for a few black AP.
- Throw Thor or LThor? You're dealing damage no matter what, with possible cascades if you don't hit the Call the Storm jackpot.
If I don't have a featured character I'm trying to level, the ISO has been going to Steve and Thor, with an occasional level to Falcon. I'm tepid on Colossus, not feeling the need to put a lot into him. I like his concept, but I'd need him leveled higher than my covers allow to fit into any strike teams. Still, it was fun throwing people in the Real Steel event.
I am totally in a different Punisher boat, but my Frank is maxed. Except when someone else was a required character, he came along to every fight. His red alone in this event is a godsend against the crazy health pools for the tank characters in the 300's. I did a 10k+ Retribution against Sentry. With green boosted, just one activation was pushing match damage to crazy heights. I couldn't imagine getting through the Gauntlet without him.

YES. I always try to either have Steve or Thor on my team as they do tons of damage and so it works great. Steve especially though because like you said, all the free AP. I also have Patch as a heavy hitter on my team sometimes and he works fairly well with the toss too since both of his moves are powerful attacks.
But yeah I feel like with just a few more covers Colossus will be great to use effectively in matches but we are just a tad too far away. Plus getting him up from 60 to 100+ will take a while. I was contemplating buying a cover with stored HP because I have like 1850 or so right now but even then he isnt really usable. I think I will try and inch his way up to 100 and hopefully randomly get another cover for him and then once it makes more sense perhaps buy a cover outright.
What build do you want for him ideally? I still am sticking towards 5/3/5 especially because I feel like almost everyone will want to pair him with a heavy hitter like mentioned above and so with that they will have Red covered anyway.

Got my GSBW, progressed a little further and got the next ISO award. Now Im officially done with the guantlet. I have 5 black in Psylocke and its not worth the frustration for the next iso & HP progression reward. I suppose I could farm the iso in the heroes gauntlet and work all the way up for a blue panther for the iso.
My nodes are up to deadly in the finale now. The node Im on now is OBW, Deadpool, and Ares; all at 280+. 6 green for Ares means 1 shot kills, one top of OBW espionage hitting for major damage, then there's deadpool being a damage sponge. Said its once, I'll say it again: I dont mind a challenge but blatant cheating, whatever. I know every node takes 3-5 times to beat to figure crap out or get a lucky board but I got what rewards I wanted, time to cut my losses.
Other one Ive been pumping iso into? GSBW, now that I have her green at 5, I just need more of her purple and Im gold. She's become more useful to me, pair her up with steve and she has the green & purple he lacks. Easy to find a black to pair with them, like say Black panther? Ive actually found that team is fairly nice too, Steve, Black Panther, and GSBW. Very good offense, 2 heavy hitters with good health, and not too shabby with defense either. Usually that team up GSBW only has control of the purple tiles, so she stays out of the way most of the time.

I was amazed by this. I actually beat 2 nodes with ease using this team. I was really really surprised as youd never figure 2 squishy characters and 1 heavy hitter would work. I put fakey healing to good use to keep them alive but once I stole all the enemies AP it was easy to just knock them down. Then I got to the node I couldnt use OBW & well, you saw the results above.
You're not going to believe it, because I dont believe Im doing it, but X-force. Ive got a soft cap on him at 20X, So I figure in the 200s he's more than capable. Since the funbalance, Im seeing more of him. So Im not sure if he's good now or people just forgot to take him off the roster since the children of the atom tournament. Since his cards are so rare I only have him at a 2/3/5 - no, not my choice but you get what you get with him. I have to say recover (yellow) since the change is nice. His max health currently is 5k, yet if the countdown is undisturbed he gains 7K health. MADNESS! I have a hard time understanding his black though. Surgical strike removes all tiles in the opponents teams strongest color. Is that what color they have the highest attack with or how much of that color they have? Only thing I dont like about x-force, he has no strike tiles, just seems weird for wolverine considering he did & all other versions do.

THIS! Him and Black panther I pretty much made it through most of the gauntlet on brute force. Then add in the strike tile damage from Puns green and Panthers yellow. Im very glad I played well enough in the last even to get the 2 punisher covers. I got to put my red back at 5, after playing around with other combinations. Being able to take down more than half those enemies in 1 shot? I could not have done that without him. Its events like this which make me glad I put the effort into leveling him up. Im glad I leveled up my Panther too but he was no where as boosted as Punisher was.
That's what I'm going for. I love using him, so once I get the covers, he'll be a staple. I have the iso to keep pushing him, too, for now. I could push Frank to the max, but he's served me well at 153. And contrary to Brolerly opinion, he is very useful, but I don't see him as an endgame option, so I'd rather save those higher levels of iso for someone I would have more use for (Steve, Thor, Colossus).
I just know the next rewards for Colossus will be red, which we already have at 3, so it's going to be a long road to get him up there.

On the comic book front whats everyone else into?
As much as Im glad Peter Parker is back, I had more fun with the Superior Spiderman. Im happy that they brought him back, even if briefly for the "Edge of the Spider Verse" event.
If you havent read any superior spiderman, that series is here.
Ive also got the Original Sin story line to read as well. I hate that everything is in the same continuity. Since I havent started that story I didnt know what the hell was going on in the Amazing Spiderman, since he popped up for some reason in a tie in issue. Then again all he did for the tie in was explain he's peter parker again, so I guess that part will make sense when I start Original sin.
And now Axis is coming up? I dont even know what thats about. Im thinking it has something to do with the Red Skull and him having Charles Xaviers powers and brain. At least thats been the common theme in the March to Axis tie ins: Uncanny Avengers and Magneto.
*Edit* Stupid crazy Font, I thought it was Axis, but the way they had the A looked like an S & an I to me...I need to pay more attention....

I have decided to make a new team and dont talk me out of it!
Beast, Captain Marvel, and Falcon....to be cheeky I may sub Daredevil for falcon. Why? I need a purple somewhere & the daredevil team ups always seem to work, so they have to work if he's on my team right? Please? Deadpool you say? Whales you say? Bah! I just say Bah onto that! Ok for sake of argument I'll use him as the example then.
Thats my team: then Beast, Captain Marvel, and now Deadpool. I believe that will be my awesome new go to team and I'll wait probably the next 10 months or so before they can even be somewhat useable as a whole. So until Im proven wrong, that team up will work and its gonna happen!

X-Force is now a top tier character. Since he is in the daily rewards, in tokens, and showed up regularly in about half of the events either progression or top placement for months, most people have a cover or two if not more.
Surgical Strike is based on the match damage value. Whichever one has the highest value is what gets destroyed. A good amount of the time, it's whatever the top power is on a given character's list, but not always. Besides the power damage, you also end up denying fuel for that power. It also has the side effect of making Hood's blue work better.
Be careful with leveling GSBW. She'll get tiles for green as well on that team. That being said, she was one of my first 3* maxed, and I use her regularly. That purple is a beast at loading up green.
Other than webcomics, I haven't really been reading anything current. Just read the first Fables trade, and I have the two Walking Dead compendiums in the backlog.
Also, I think the next new character is going to be 2* Warbird, from the way the official forums are talking.
Why not branch out into the Guardians? Since there's no more Dark Reign in the title, why not take advantage of the most popular movie of the summer? Star Lord would obviously have a purple skill called Negotiate that would steal AP and deal damage (possibly to his own team as well). Groot would be the first character with Green, Black, Yellow or Green, Black, Blue, with skills that protect and deal AoE damage. Rocket would have a blue skill named Innovation that could do any number of things, as well as a red damage attack. Gamora would be their version of GSBW, just being a lethal SoB. Drax would tank, and have a downside to one of his attacks that takes everything way too literally.
You want to increase popularity on a game that's been out for a year now? I'm available as a consultant for the low, low price of ... one milllllion dollars.

Comics reading?
I've been using the Marvel Unlimited app on my phone/computer quite a bit. Reading through Captian America, finished the story before superior Spider Man and then started that series (up to about issue 10 now)
I also read through all of Dark Reign, and just recently started Siege. Seems like I missed something in between where Osborn got the idea to attack Asgard.
I didn't play through all of the gauntlet, thought the rewards was only a two-star storm... Odd that it lists your ranking as well, are the other hidden prizes?
Don't care for Iron Man 40, will probably only play his tournament enough to get 300 for a token.
Regretting selling off my X Force Wolvie. I had him in the mid 100s and at least one cover was maxed. But he was useless before this balance change, and I wanted that ISO....

If you really want to play them, they have their own game! I AM GROOT!
I may be inclined to play as rocket, and as far as Groot goes, his 3 powers would have to be: I AM GROOT, I AM GROOT!, and I AM GROOT!!!!! If they made him a character and that wasnt one of his powers Id give up the game. Actually the way the devs handle the characters, Id rather them not even touch the GotG.
Honestly Im really surprised they made GotG into a movie. Not that they're as obscure as half of the Avengers, but they dont seem as well known. People always say, "they're like the avengers....in space!" I never know how to react to that
Oh wait yeah I do, the same way I react to Space Punisher.... He's like Punisher, but....in space!
(unfortunately yes its a real thing, I just hope no one tires to make a movie about it!)
PS, I dont have a problem with GotG, I like rocket and Groot. Peter (Star Lord) just has too many daddy issues. Im sure its a fine movie & I'll watch it but the comic wasnt that great. Well except for the Gamora/Tony Stark incident! Poor Tony, I think she broke his little iron man!

That being said I havent been reading much at all. I finally read Blackest Night and stuff but that doesnt really fit in with Marvel... I also have been going through Skottie Young's Wizard of Oz books.
Now with classes back in full force though I have no time to read comics but instead am drawing all the time so close enough haha

I honestly knew very little of them going into the movie and honestly can saw it was the best Marvel movie to date. I was blown away with how great it was and it is arguably one of my favorite superhero/comic movies of all time. I can't believe you haven't seen it yet, you owe it to yourself to go see it... now... get... go!
