I dont know any way for me to get a Cap Marvel other than the progression reward in the current tournament. Im at about 400 pts to the 1100 now..... It could happen.

Cap Marvel essential nodes are 3k points, normal nodes 750!?!?!??! Highest I can get is 2100 for the "hard" nodes. I literally want to throw my phone because Im chastised for not havinga character. Wouldnt be as bad if it wasnt 3 nodes, each at high point rewards.

Im also getting pissed I cant help the alliance. I guess so many people are in the same boat, but really this is overkill on it. 2* Torch was hardly used for essential nodes ANYWHERE!

Even back when Punisher & Mohawk Storm were released & I didnt have them they were only used in 1-2 essential nodes. I just want to move on and get my Deadpool. Oh yeah and Team ups....ugh still not a fan.

In the last event it was this way too but now it is here as well. The absolute highest fully charged node is one of the Captain Marvel nodes and it provides 600. SIX HUNDRED. That is the highest. Then All of the normal nodes are all mid level teams that yield 350 points max.

My buddy Nm8or who I recently got into the game was over and I was playing for about thirty minutes and I built up a little over one thousand. She played one node and got 1600.

I am really curious what is up with my account that it is telling me I HAVE to grind like a bitch.

I think they have put Johnny in all of the event tokens, but not in the standard Heroics. I've picked up a few here and there, as well.

When I ran out of living characters and health packs last night, I was in the top ten for the sub bracket, but in the 50s for my overall bracket. So... I dunno how this is going to end.

If I don't play for a little while, the essential nodes scale up to the 1.5-2k range, and the regulars about 500 behind that at the max node. The essentials are level 70-90, the regulars are 100-125. By the time I grind down the essentials to about 200, the top regular is about 800.

I can't imagine placing well without the essentials, that sucks. And I'm still not sure what the point of having Marvel as a progression award you won't get unless you already have her. I mean, the cover will be nice when I get there, but it isn't going to help the people who really need it.

It's extremely frustrating to know you can't be competitive in an event because you lack 1 character. As stated I literally want to chuck my phone across the room.
Trying for a cap marvel in PvP, pve, & tokens with no success doesn't help either. Realistically can't make progression rewards in anything, so it stinks seeing what I could get & knowing I can't.

My mmr is screwed, I'm facing 166s now with seemingly unlimited team ups. Who all can magically pull rage of the Panthers out their ass when I'm about to win.

Then no marvel, means that if I get the top progression reward it would be at the events end, which helps the Alliance very little.

Just make the game fun again, I'm tired of being frustrated at my phone to the point I almost break it. I've given up on PvP & just trying to tank now. I'll head back into the event for some non essential nodes, but unless I start late & miss some sub events (which I didn't) I'm just not as high of a scorer as I used to be.

You also need to take into account rubberbanding. On the prior event my son started late and his nodes were about 3k a node when he showed me that I started banging my head on my desk.

So I didnt get a chance to play before bed like usual and so instead of hovering around the top 10 I woke up at like #38.... DAMMIT.

Now the struggle to keep top 10 is that much more difficult. But yeah since I hadn't been playing regularly then my max scores for the Special Nodes were 500 points higher than they normally have been at max so that made it a bit easier to near the gap but I am still about 6k points behind a comfortable top 10 position : /

On the bright side the alliance as a whole is holding our top 100 position so that means I will at least get ONE Blue Hood. I am at that point though where that one extra cover would bring him to an actual usable level whereas without it he will be just a tad too weak to compete.

That being said this event has made me push my Patch all the way to level 82 now. In boosted events he is a viable character at least now. I feel like once my characters hit the level 90/100 mark they become usable regularly as back ups if need be in PvE so that is good. Plus being almost able to nab the final Progression Reward is nice to make Marvel 3/1/1. Speaking of those, I am glad they have made the final Progression Rewards actually attainable now without playing the game 14 hours a day like it had been before.

Haha womp. You should be placed in a decent bracket then though. I am at the same point level as most of the higher tier for our Alliance and from the sound of it am at a much higher ranking in my bracket having started so late.

And yeah I am still not liking these Team Ups. One, visually I dont like them. The tiles stick out and as an artist little things like that bother the shit out of me more than they should. Speaking of that, Captain Marvel's face is ed up when attacking. Let me have 10 minutes to touch up her face design and it would look 100x better.

But yeah I haven't even tried PvP yet but I feel like a fair way would be no Team Ups for the defending PvP team. Not like you can set up boosts and have them in constant use on defense so since these TU are the same essentially why do they work like that?

And then with Sentry I am okay with the CONCEPT of these Team Ups but it is bullshit to make a team up be a countdown generating move. Normally you can at least defeat the character whose move it is to cancel out the countdowns but now there is no character to defeat and so unless you match them all you are absolutely screwed. And with moves like Sentry's it is near impossible to match them all in time anyway.

I had an opponent put Sentry's countdown (World Rupture I think) up as a team-up, but when I defeated the active character when it went up, the countdown tiles disappeared. I was pleasantly surprised.

Hm... I dont recall that happening for me. I wonder if it has to be the character that was active when the move was used? Because I switched targets at that point in my match. Hmmmm

If that were the case I would be very surprised and pleased that they did balance it a bit already.

Hah yeah I dont mind her actual move animations but yeah her face is just messed up. They wouldnt even have to change her whole face, though I do like the one you posted. Like I said given like 10 minutes I could touch up the face and make it look far better, both being more attractive and looking more like Carol.

I have been tempted to apply to some Disney Interactive jobs but they have not been doing too hot lately haha

I still haven't updated because of this. I'm waiting until the last possible minute. (Although I hear that there is a deadline eventually, and you can be kicked out of the app even in the middle of a match.)

PvP has turned into a sort of cakewalk, it seems people are putting up junk tanks to discourage people from getting good team ups. And I suspect since the essential nodes in PvE are all named characters, I'm getting a benefit there, too.

Although, I did see someone with a new combo. Captain Marvel + Modern Hawkeye work great together. Almost got taken out by a 2* team that didn't have Ares, without team ups! If Carol is set up to take the damage when Hawkeye avoids, she generates red to power Hawkeye's blast arrow. Not a bad idea.

But yeah I haven't even tried PvP yet but I feel like a fair way would be no Team Ups for the defending PvP team. Not like you can set up boosts and have them in constant use on defense so since these TU are the same essentially why do they work like that?

The issue is they get three no matter what. I really don't mind if they get them, but the amount and randomness is what gets me. If they get three, let me know what they are before the match. Or if they don't want that, only give them one or only give them the number of boost slots you use when attacking.

I have to agree with the conspiracy theory that this is to drive health pack purchases. Even on paper there are so many better ways to implement this, and I haven't even played a match with it.

That is the first I've seen that being reported, which is great news if it wasn't a happy glitch. Considering how many people are complaining about this specific aspect on the official forums, you'd think someone official would step up to say this is how it works. Then again, I wonder if only defeat works, but not stun.

Very low if you can't delete unwanted ones. I had 5 green Juggs at one point, and not by choice.

From what I have gathered that is one of the worst as well haha Yeah if they dont give us the option to delete them that is bogus. At least give us a 'replace' option then.

At this point, you get a message that says you would have earned a team up, but yours are full.

Dumb. I am sure they are getting tons of feedback about this and will be translated to some changes but I would imagine that wont happen until the end of August or early September if at all.

I don't even care about these changes though right now really, I am just so focused on wanting to get top 10 and knowing it is so extremely out of reach hahah ugh. Damn you Hood.

Plus I have used all of my ISO on Patch so that I have the strength to EARN Hood and so now even once I get these covers he will just still be at a terribly low level. Womp. And part of me feels like I should save ISO for Deadpool now coming up anyway.

I'm sitting a 1 for the sub event and 4 for the overall PvE so unless something major happens tomorrow I should a nice hoodie at the end of the event. Had same thoughts about her face and was think they should fire whoever created that and find someone else to redo it. I normally keep a Blue OBW in my pocket to counter countdowns.

I just used an Ares green team-up after stockpiling green for Patch's move... and it ate up all my green and gave half to the other team... so Juggs hit me back with how many ing crashes. ing bullshit. Now I'm damaged to the point that I won't be able to heal in time to gain any more points for this sub, all because I was trying to make more room for more team ups.

And now 4 of Ares Onslaught against me in one match... Probably knocking me out of the top 5 for the node. And so much for the Carol tourney. I have five covers for her and can't even use my own version because of these ing things.

Spent about 30k Iso to level up cap to have him as a secondary to Iron Man but still have another 30k to level up people. Sub event just ended and man I good thing I did some last minute grinding. Ended by 1st by 3 points and 20 points separated me from 3rd. The main person I was competing with for 1st ended up at 10th place. After Deadpool I'm going to take the foot of the gas and go back to middle of the alliance. Starting to see gems moving around making matches when I blink and that can't be good.

Well that's because I got decent in PvP again, the past tournaments I've tried at I got into the top 25, so at least 2 3* cover rewards. You know what the game does when you play too well.

I wish PvP would be a cake walk for me but it's just not. And no one really understands the team ups. Which the computer gets too shoot off as much as possible.

But as Broly knows my game has been sacrificed to be a daddy. So although it's frustrating when I get to play (after the kiddos go to bed), I'm having fun with them. This is my last week with them, so I should be back to mpq by this weekend.

I've gotten multipule team up powers and each icon takes up another space. The enemy seems to be able to mix them as well. ( I've seen them use Classic storm team up when they were playing with modern storm)

I was in the top 100, but now keep getting hit, 1 min left, so the hell with it. Ending at #111 or so.

So once again the computer can cheat? Lovely.... If I use a character I cant use an alternative skin as a team up. Glad those rules dont apply to the enemies I face.....They really should have tested team ups better before implementation.

What are you spending all the HP you earn through the alliance on? That should be able to open more slots for you...

Same thing happened to me and I was PISSED. Mine was actually in the PvP and it ate up all my green for Call the Storm...

I would say save it for now then and maybe use it for Hood that we get or wait to see what happens with the upcoming Deadpool event!

Yeah we get tons of HP. I am already back to 1200 since I spent all of my last saved HP on all those stupid effing Steve Rogers haha If you are buying the Daily Deals, that is not the way to go. Just wasted HP for little return.

So. Funny story. I am on the phones here at work for a few hours every day as the expert in my office in case people need help and yada yada. Well I was scheduled until 10 which worked out because I was like okay, I will sneak away at 10:30 and do a final push for the subevent so that I can max my earnings before I get the new subevent. Well, apparently there was some webinar that I was not informed about and the other person who was supposed to be on after me was gone to that. I stayed on then until 10:50 when they finally all came back and were like 'oh we set it to voicemail sorry we forgot to tell you or mention the webinar.'

Awesome. I am pissed and I actually had been playing MPQ at my desk then secretly but so I rush to the bathroom and push for the last few minutes in the event. I managed to keep top 10 at least which was a wash anyway since I got a garbage Moonstone from the token but anyway, then I realized the PvP was just about over!

So I hopped into that and started playing and saw what was mentioned earlier, a ton of shit 2* teams. That was it. All of my opponents were well under 100 and were mostly all 2*s. I was in heaven! Pissed at work then I just sat there and played the PvP for 45 minutes. Meandered back to my desk and finished it out there for 15 minutes.

I managed to score 424 points in that hour which got me 7th place! I then realize that the ing top cover reward though isnt top 10 in PvP anymore, it is top 5?!?! When the hell did that happen? I am happy for the ISO and HP and two Patch covers which will really help out in this PvE as I race to top 10 but wtf, no 3rd?!

That sucks though : / I hate when that move is done to me because yeah the PC always has ridiculous 'luck'

ALSO I KNOW WHY I HATE THE TEAM UP TILES. They are the same effing shape and general look as the critical. Rule #1 in any match 3 game ALL PIECES LOOK DISTINCTLY DIFFERENT. They should have kept them a triangle. The angular shapes and harder edges were all the matching tiles and then when we see a soft round shape we instantly acknowledge that 'hey this is different, must be special.' Since the TU tiles now do damage and literally just power another move then they are no different than the normal AP tiles so they should not stand out so much.

Again as a visual artist working his way into games it bothers me to see poorly implemented things like this in fairly big games especially. Dumb.

I know they've promised a TU delete button is coming, but for now i'm going into every fight with 3 low-level powerups armed.  Still hoping they decide tomorrow to scrap the whole TU idea.

Hah yeah I dont mind her actual move animations but yeah her face is just messed up. They wouldnt even have to change her whole face, though I do like the one you posted. Like I said given like 10 minutes I could touch up the face and make it look far better, both being more attractive and looking more like Carol.

I have been tempted to apply to some Disney Interactive jobs but they have not been doing too hot lately haha

Her fight face reminds me of Anistasia and Drizella from Cinderella.

Yellow cover from a token is always nice...unless its the 5th BSBW for Sniper.

Join an hour or two before the event ends and you might get a good placement with little work. Only drawback is it doesn't help your overall season score.

Doesnt really matter to me as long as I got the needed cover and eventually I will reach the 10 pack rewards.

I was worried about that. The last nodes like this I feel like always give less points than all the previous nodes which leads to intense grinding at the end here. I have been knocked out of top 10 and am sitting at like #30. I REALLY want that extra Blue cover but I honestly do not feel like grinding like a madman just for the chance to maybe get high enough. I have told myself I will try to play a good amount so long as I get the final progression reward and keep the Alliance up, but I am not busting my back to push to top 10.

I think they have put Johnny in all of the event tokens, but not in the standard Heroics. I've picked up a few here and there, as well.

Well, I was wrong. Just got his black from a standard Heroic.

Been playing Lightning Rounds to kill off some of my crummy Team Ups. Been shooting for a 25-50 placement to get 2 Heroic tokens instead of a Lightning Token. Patch and Spidey are the only featured characters I don't have max covers on, so would rather have my odds of a 3* spread out a little more.

Then I realized you can burn through TUs faster if you aren't winning, and so now I take my worst ones into Training while trying to keep my MMR down. What it also has done is tell me I would rather see team ups be based on the characters you play - my first tank team is always Sue, Johnny and Pete because I like seeing the matching FF uniforms. It would be kind of cool if there was a 'team power' that worked the same way, but you only get it when you assemble a correct team of three. A flash game I used to play many moons ago called X-Assault had this mechanic that had some off-the-wall teams besides the canon ones like X-Factor or X-Force (the Milligan one) - there were teams based on having blue skin/fur, for example.

Don't ask me how much time I put into making a fan site for that game. Ah, memories.

Yeah, I pulled a Johnny Storm from a standard this morning too. 2/2/2 now, I wonder if he'll be featured again. It seems like people are slowing on the PvE now that the last stage is a complete grind. I'm hanging in the mid 30's, and only dropped 5-10 spots overnight.

I hope he isnt featured, I sold him as soon as that event ended hahah.

So I know I said I wan't going to push for top 10... but I am pushing for top 10 hahah. Last night I had a prject to work on that is due today but there is something about working full time and getting your masters full time that when you do it year round and this is your second summer eaten up by that you tend to not care as much haha. Plus the teacher for this class is a joke. Needless to say I got lost in MPQ instead of working on it most of yesterday. I also played a bunch this morning and am sitting at like #12. I have been pushing harder than a pregnant woman the past 18 hours or so hahah. The top people in my bracket all have 80-85k though!! They are like 10k above me.

I however am worried that when I log back in around lunch time that everyone else will have played a ton more and I am back to like #20 or something. Fingers crossed! I hope we all can score some pretty solid tiers, which speaking of this is going to be a tight finish for top #100 I feel like so we had better all be pushing!

I tried to squeeze a qquick match in before an appointment and I was doing my most difficult node and so I put on my 20% all damage boost and I was antsy and kept clicking add or whatever to use all of mine and I somehow blindly bought a pack of them. AWESOME 100HP gone. As if I havent wasted enough HP (STEVE) yet I get this shit. Ugh.

After the baseball game last night, I played a little too get to the 40k progression reward: oscorp heroic token. Lightning struck twice and I got a red cap marvel.

Yeah I hit my max TUs right away.

I really wish they would change the shape of the tiles, keeps throwing me off. Also, why dont they stay equipped like boosts? If I am trying to burn up some lame ones, I dont want to have to keep re-equipping them if I didnt get a chance to use them in the previous match.

And yeah I am a bit happy it is another Thor cover as a reward because then I can skip it largely and not worry about it. I hope everyone is able to snag some though because he has been my go to powerhouse for a long time now and would help any roster!

I'm kinda annoyed that the red cover is for top 5. Really? I cannot freakin' get a red for him. I might try the last hour technique, I normally start a day or so late and go for 700 and see where that puts me in the rankings.

I mean, it's also the alliance award, but we're at #830 right now. That ain't happening.

I have gotten 4 different Red Thor covers since I maxed mine out....

I've got the 3 reds I need, so I'm pushing for top 25 for sure. Any better would be okay, too, because that would mean more levels, even though I'd be looking to decrease that red once I get other better covers.
