Yeah, every time I wander over to the IAP screen, I sigh about the $-to-ISO cost. It's gotta be geared for new players. Right now I have a 12/13 Hood at level 98. If I want to soft-cap him to 153, I would have to buy the $100 ISO pack to get enough. That's crazy.

I just realized I needed 1 more cover for a maxed Hulk myself. Nothing was going on so I dropped 100 HP for a heroic cover daily deal.
ING BOOSTED HOOD IS STUPID AS SHITAlways this way. For a while I knew the numbers for just about every maxed character's 40% health. Then they upped levels for everyone, and that went out the window.

Stop using him in anything but the essentials or the easy fights. Being boosted only gives him extra health, match damage, and a minor improvement to black damage.A
He has the lowest health of every character and so having him up front is so freaking stupid. I have to heal him every couple matches because he is constantly freaking dead!
They way they do brackets now is a mystery. You get 'nudged' into appropriate brackets that aren't 100% time based any more. Combine that with the fact that you can join the main event at one time, and the sub event at another. I got top 50 in the sub, and was like #7 overall. Just checked and I'm at 32 overall.
What Koju said, and your main bracket is 500 players, your sub is 1000 players. Your rank should be higher in the main bracket if you are being competitive in the sub brackets, unless you somehow got a terrible main event bracket.

Those last minute essential nodes being playable can really help boost you. DS rocketed up quite a bit last event once he finally got Carol.
Definitley the essential character helps! As stated when I finally got a Cap Marvel with a day left I pretty much doubled my score in the last day because of her. They really emphasized having her in the last event. Not so much with hood in this one, but he definitely helps. Mostly because scaling is little to none in the essential nodes, so even though its a small point boost, they're definitely easier!
Tell me about it, I completely forgot about pushing hulk past 150, now that I have the full skillset 166 here I come! Im at 155 now, it'll be a bitch getting him up those 11 levels & because of this event Im putting all Iso in Hood to get him beefed up.
Last minute of the Event & it craps out.... If this was any game but MPQ Id be mad or surprised.
Yeah I didnt get to play it. I started like 2 matches in the PvP and that was it before it all went down.
They are definitely rerunning this event! After the server crash last night, probably sooner than later. I think they learned NOT to do it like the hulk event. 2 of the same event back to back? I got burnt out at the end of the first round.
Yeah, missed the PvP entirely because of this. Was too busy with other things this weekend. Got home around 10-ish, and pushed through sleepiness and PvE enough to get #14 overall. Game hung on my last match and fell asleep waiting for the servers to come back online to at least get a few points towards the Season. (I only need one blue Hood to max out, so the rewards didn't mean anything to me.)
Ah, now there's two reasons to use the Ragnarok node in the prologue - ditch Team Ups you don't want for a 140 Godlike Power/Thunderclap, and use Deadpool as a third to harvest some cash for the future when he has some covers.

Same here. I dont feel like playing the game all that much. After crazy grinding and still not getting the reward I want I need to step away for a bit. Hopefully it is something with Thor, BP, Hulk, Punisher or laughably Steve again. I certainly can use the ISO but dont want to fight for some great covers. I would guess maybe Stormhawk since like DS said she has been largely neglected and since she is the PvP reward now who knows.
I was thinking the same thing.I have a crazy amount of HP (5420) and almost no ISO.
I am at the point that most of the characters I would buy covers for are either at 12/13 (and thus, any cover I buy will be in the very next token I get), at 2-4/13, where the cover won't help anything, or one of the few characters in the right spot for buying covers but won't benefit from the 80k ISO needed to level up.
Woe is me.
I've been buying cover slots for new characters instead of selling old ones. I'm starting to look at it like a Pokedex. Maybe I do need a fully covered 1* Hawkeye.
My feeling would be to get him to at least his soft cap before spending. You could always shoot for the 1100 progression award in PvP for that yellow... Heh.
I normally would agree, but we ALL seem to complain that once we max out a character, they are abundant our pulls. I have gotten enough Thors now to have made a maxed second one and then BP Hulk and Punisher have all been similar. So I wonder if by buying the one and just being maxed power wise at 4/4/5 but not at the build I want (5/5/3), would I raise the likelihood of gaining more Hood covers in general and thus max him out power wise at my ideal build sooner? Like you said highly unlikely I will get 2x Yellows anytime soon and it cant be anything like Steve since we already had multiple events with Hood rewards.
Personally, I'd say don't let go of anyone unless you absolutely have to. Everything D3 is doing (True Healing, Balance of Power, the elite PvEs) is trying to train us to never throw anything away, so may as well comply. Even not maxed, 1* Iron Man was really helpful in the last Elite, so as long as I have HP I'm going to keep adding roster slots.
I'm less than 200 from the 10-pack in season 4. Would have already had it with Thor's event if not for the outage.
