FYI, the required character in the new 3-day PVE is BP.

FWIW, based on my limited experimentation, I'm not convinced that waiting any amount of time puts you in a much better bracket than joining an event right at the start these days.   A few months ago, I think joining 16 hours from the end would improve your chances of ranking well.  Nowadays, I think you're mostly grouped with experienced players trying the same technique.

When you join in the first couple hours, it feels like you're likely to get a mix of new players who click to join when they see something new.

I see the possible validity in that. My personal style of getting it done still works successfully though and requires less time so I will stick with mine hahah

PvP though is a different story. The later you join the less you have to play generally because there is less time you have to worry about dropping and what not.

There's definitely value in minimizing the effort required to win a prize. But even in PvPs lately, whether I join day 1, 2, or 3 it seems that ~650 points will still place me around the top 50 to get a cover. The benefit of joining early is that I can play a match every couple hours and easily get to that range, and it's generally easier to get into the 700s if I care to before shielding. Overall, if I join early there's not much added effort, and there's no risk of missing the top 100 due to a bad last-minute bracket assignment.

Of course, everyone's personal strategy will have to account for their MMR situation... so for you I say Broly On! :robot:

 
The Jugg Heroic Event is the one where it is just the one event right? I ask you guys every time because I can't remember which ones have sub events and what not haha

Trying to gauge when to jump in.

Also I hate everything visually with Mystique. They picked yet again a terrible cover for her that is far too busy for the setting and then her actual character model is way too manly. Seriously wtf. As usual give me like 20 minutes and I can fix their garbage work. Ugh. I know I am overly picky but come on, with so many crazy talented artists on this planet why do we get such ugly looking models and little to no animationnnnnn

 
well had 143 points now down to 21 since everyone with level 60+ is crushingn me

anyone playing this on PC have a league i can join. What makes me sick i joined a group they asked for team help. Send them 3 of my people for 24 hour and then they kick me out, yet my people are still tied up for 24 hours

Yup - it's just one event that ends in 3d5h. The special nodes are for BP, and the only other 3*s you can use are GSBW and Colossus. (Kinda frustrating roster this time)
 
All req nodes are yellow for me. Have all nodes completed and sitting with only 2.7k pts (I think). That 55k BP will be hard.

Gotcha, thanks!

My BP is 153 so he will likely be tanking me through a good amount. I am trying to focus on leveling Colossus now but that is going really slowly. I wish I had jumped on it earlier like Ltrain seeing as we have essentially the same Colossus anyway!

Yeah, Colossus is fun, even at the 112 I currently have him at. My BP is at 133, I think. I started leveling him to use in the PvE, then remembered I'll need that iso for Colossus after my rewards drop tonight... crap. Been playing for a little over an hour, and got to 560-something points. Placed in the high teens for now, with a 3 hr shield. Have my alarm set for 1 hr and 10 minutes to go in and use health packs for Steve and Pun. Then, when my shield pops off, I'll have my fully healed first team, 3 health packs and another set to renew about ten minutes after for an early afternoon push towards the top.

So apparently I'm not getting a yellow cover for Colossus. I haven't pushed hard for the top in a while, but once I hit 650 points, I run into a never ending mix of 166+ LDaken, Hood, Sentry, X-Force combined with the mandatory 200+ LThor. I can't hang with any of those teams. If I can find one that's worth 40+ points, I may try a metric crapton of boosts to try and push a bit higher.

Just curious - what teams are people using in the PvE?

So far I've been mostly BP/Wolvie/GSBW.  I wanted to give my 2/2/2 Colossus a shot, but with my yellows going to BP and reds going to wolvie it's been hard to make him fit.

The character selection really seems like they grabbed names out of a hat this time.  What's the point of giving us MNMag without a decent blue power to feed?  (BP's really doesn't count.)

 
Yeah my BP, Colossus and Black widow arent leveld up to do much damage in this tournament. You really have to take care of that Liutenant first. Can't believe he has a two timer yellow countdown.

this event is no fun.

Welcome to the very start of all my PvP sessions : /

This is why I pretty much have to just Broly the shit out of events otherwise I get effed. Goodluck though man, skip the hell out of them!

There has been a few times where I skip for over 1k ISO and out of nowhere I get Seed Teams again haha Has happened about 5 different PvPs for when I dont Broly them

Thor event ends at 1am ET / 2am CT.


I'm bracketed with all sorts of folks from top ten alliances. I should really stop the push, and just get the 1100 progression in the next one for the yellow Colossus and coasting for a top 25. Barely holding on to 8th with 1300+ points and pushing further will just spend more resources - about 75% of my skip targets are worth less than 5 points.

But man, I wanted to take a break for Real Steel. No covers I'm itching for, and it's not like I have a season placement to worry about.

The continued existence of Heroics makes it really hard for me to understand your habit of throwing out all the non-3*s.

BTW, it turns out IM35/MNMag/Colossus isn't a bad team for at least the easier nodes.

Yes, but that heal seems to be much more effective now.

Why bother with space for characters to be occasionally boosted to high levels when I can just have my roster filled with high level 3s?

I never run into issues by not having 2*s!

This is what it looks like the next morning when you have 1400+ points, your shield expires 20 minutes before the event ends, and you fall asleep an hour before the event ends.

Damn, that sucks man. At least you got 2 covers!

My Brolying it backfired like shit and I got #302. Oh well, looks like I won't be regularly using Colossus until I get a few more covers for him. Falcon is probably happy at least, now he gets ISO again haha

Nope. Top 25 is two covers. Just got the black.

I don't need Storm covers, so I might get to 1100 for the yellow Colossus and then let people use me for free points.

I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do for PvE. I have zero interest in grinding this weekend, but that blue Fury is so attractive for top two placement. Bah. In any case, I'll make sure to put up points.

Oh shit, I forgot. Since I didnt even get close I spaced on the tiers, I am sorry : / At least an ideal build is likely 5/3/5 so you dont need as much red anyway!

Getting to 1100 points is crazy in itself haha I never get that high even when I pushed normally. And I am the same way with this upcoming PvE. I really want Mystique but I have no desire to grind; I have a ton of other stuff to do. I too will get my points up for the Alliance but really with this new BS update with everyone at a 20 person Alliance the competition to get 100 is going to be even more fierce.

I was getting attacked like that every time I checked in during the tournament where Blade was the reward.

I tried Brolying the Thor PvP but jumped in too late. had only 5 minutes left, and my second match didnt count. Only got 25 points and a rank of 400 something.

I know i should grind for Mystique in this Juggs event, but it's hard to get the motivation. I'd have to spend all my HP to open a new slot for her, even if I -did- get her. The essential nodes are giving me 2000 points, but Black Panther and Mags are the only characters I have who are worth anything in this event, and even then they don't quite seem to be enough at times.

 
Yeah, the essential nodes suck, the first one has two batteries for Juggs' Crash, which of course leads to wonderful cascades and manages to hit just about every strike or defense tile BP puts up. On the second one, if the muscle gets one threaten off, they do about 1000 damage per match. I thought the third one might be the easiest, until they had a cascade to start the match that took about half of BP's health before my second turn.

I didn't realize only top 20 score two covers, I've been hanging in there, but I'll be screwed because it ends at midnight.
 
Yeah, I've been mostly skipping the Muscle node in the middle. If you've unlocked the 2 nodes on the bottom right, I actually get better bang for the buck on those since there's no Jughead.
 
That one is tough, but not impossible. It's actually easier than the next node with Daken and Ares. The event is really making me wish my black panther was actually leveled that high.

I do have to get "lucky" with my matches.

 
Damn, so I finally am looking to jump into the PvE and we have a bunch of people hovering around 20k. That seems really low for an overall score especially counting those people who started when the event began. I know I am not one to talk at the moment but as always I get my score up pretty damn quickly at the end. I know it is going to be tough with so many 20 people alliances now but I bet we can still do it if we all push really hard today!

So, on the map for the PvE event right now, is there reason to push for those non-essential nodes on the bottom? I assume that opens up the bottom two seperate nodes, are those essential ones or what and what are the levels of those two nodes comparatively with the others?

I ask because I am trying to push down there but if it isnt worth it I will just focus on the top right essential nodes. The last match was the one with Bullseye and a Lieutenant and sure as shit, the board was literally 40% purple at the start. Awesome. I got destroyed to say the least haha

 
The bottom right 2 nodes aren't critical, but I find them manageable and are worth more than the essential nodes for me.
 
For me, lev 193 bullseye/moonstone/Daken vs lev108 DAs in Full Stop.

I get 2600 points and level 74 Juggs and Dark Avengers in Full Stop.

The ones for Imposter are level 120 and only gives 1900 points. So, I'm working more on the essential nodes.

I just got the 35000 token reward and it was a lousy Red Marvel Now 2-star Magneto.

 
yup, congratz all.

I finished with 46k points. Was hoping to break 150 for an individual cover, but  came up about 160th.

Have nearly 600 points in the colossus tournament and should be in top 50 I hope. should put my yellow stormhawk at 5.

I have mine at 1/4/3 without winning anything from Colossus. I did finish top 50 for the Juggs event, so I got two blue Mystiques. Way to go team! Now I need 230 HP to get a new slot. The other option is booting someone else, but the only non-max 2 star I have is Ms. Marvel, and I assume she will be boosted/featured some more before they are done with her.

FYI - In Terra Battle, once you hit chapter 13, you unlock Metal Zone 3, which works up to level 40.

 
Was sitting at 100th place last nice in the PVE @ 30 min left. So I went ahead and got to bed, didn't see my rank fluctuating so I assumed people in my bracket were done also.

Woke up this morning, scored a blue from personal ranking and blue from Alliance. Great job guys, saw that we were around 115th place when I left for the night.

 
I actually like the 2* MsMarvel compared to the 3* one.

Shouldnt Mys be boosted for the Children of the Atom?
